  1. What do you mean " can open it manually from in the boot"? I'm assuming you've tried the central locking switch in front of the gear lever?
  2. If it was a decent system it would suggest an alternative route if possible. Only on rare occasions has mine said it's changing the route because of current traffic conditions.
  3. Take a picture of the battery label. Someone will tell you if it's the right spec.
  4. Your battery is a year old under warranty. Get it checked out.
  5. If you can get the battery fully charged, disconnect one of the terminals and leave it for as long as possible & then try to start it. If it starts then you know the battery is ok & there is a current draw which needs investigating. Your battery will be covered by its warranty as it's only a year old. Get it checked out. Was the new battery coded when fitted? I know it's the luck of the draw, but mine is on it's original battery, gets left for 6/8 weeks at a time and always has enough power to start up.
  6. If it's a manual this may help.
  7. It's not you. It's very slow to get updated info. Most of the time it will say slow moving traffic in x number of miles but do nothing to suggest an alternative. Mine loves narrow lanes as well. Keep your Garmin in the car or use Google maps as a back up.
  8. Have you tried different modes?
  9. OP has said that they work correctly with the remote.
  10. Park it on a dry surface and see if there are any wet patches
  11. Whatever it is, it needs looking at urgently. If it unlocks during an emergency, it's possible non of the safety related items will work. IE: airbags, seat belt tensioner.
  12. Do a search in this forum. Many threads on this subject.
  13. Are you engaged to your car?😘
  14. Must remind myself not to take any advice from you. My 1.6 TDI, DSG could not perform any better in city traffic. Stop/start system works as required, smooth take offs, no hesitation, no overheating. If you're speaking from your own experience then there something seriously wrong with your car. As long as you don't interrupt the re-gens too many times the DPF is not a problem. Go back to a manual gearbox for city driving?. Not a chance.
  15. If you did, then I apologise, but I can't see the post.
  16. Very helpful. Are you under the official secrets act that you can't tell us how you "sorted" it?
  17. Have you seen this thread?
  18. There are not many fuses. Just pull them out and check. See if the socket in the boot works as it's on the same circuit.
  19. Is it possible that the temp rose a bit because it was doing a regen?. The dpf light coming on at the same time could be a warning that it's getting full of ash. The pumps only done 15K so that should not be problem.
  20. Agree. Never going to dry out if you can't find the cause of the problem.
