  1. Any lights on the dash? Have you checked the coilpacks too?
  2. I'm in contact with the owner of this vRS. Should anyone be interested in this high spec example. Give me a PM.
  3. I've had a look everywhere, too. Maybe, @nige8021 is able to find it?
  4. The VR6 engine fits. Someone has just done a conversion on their 4x4. It’s a lot of work and you really need to know what you’re doing. I fear that if you’re already asking, then it maybe not for you. This picture and car is owned by Carl.
  5. I'm not sure if it's part of the windscreen (as in it comes with it, I know it can be removed)? From Bowders photo here, you can see it's attached all the way around the bottom half of the screen.
  6. I really don’t think it’s the scuttle panel. Time to lift the carpet I think if you get time. You’ll only need to left half of it, but give yourself a few hours to remove trims and seats. The floor could be so wet that the underlay is absolutely soaking.. Example of mine:
  7. If you buy a complete whole new unit from Skoda yes, but the pumps themselves are not expensive and they are not race pumps. But, have a look around and see others opinions and experiences. Search on Google: mk1 octavia vrs sytec site:www.briskoda.net
  8. You’ll need to remove the whole unit, as you need to swap the pumps over. Be sure to be careful when removing the in tank pipe feed from the unit as it gets brittle.
  9. The standard OEM unit should be fine up to stage 2. But, you can upgrade to the Sytec unit that a lot of us use on the forum. I too personally use this model for 240ish bhp. Sytec Hi In-Tank Fuel Injection Pump 36mm In 8mm Out P3031.1 https://www.motorsport-tools.com/sytec-hi-in-tank-fuel-injection-pump-36mm-in-8mm-out-p3031-1.html A lot of others also use the Walbro.
  10. Welcome to our yobo world! I'm such a child, but I can't help hearing the Wohhhhtshhhhh! And, to be fair, they have lasted 15+ years. And new OEM ones will last that again.
  11. Clean up the sensor if it's working ok, clean the CTS housing too, and buy a new oring and clip from Skoda. Worse case is that it may be cracked so a new housing is needed. Easily purchased and can be had from Just German Parts on eBay.
  12. When you're bored of the R-Tech heat shield, I'll take it off your hands. 😄👍
  13. I'd recommend the Darkside kit and get the uprated clutch which can handle more than 300lbft.
  14. Enjoy fitting that! Let us know if you notice any improvements.
  15. The black cable opposite the green fuses went hot within seconds of starting the car. Do I need to buy a new alternator harness or just get some new cable and crimp it? A new cable and crimp it. Others have cut it. But, personally, I would have a new one. It also looks like in the past, the black cable next to the 4 red cables has been changed. You can see the burn mark on the plastic cover, so that's obviously built up resistance and someone had it changed.
  16. I’d look at that door loom first. Take it completely out or get a multi meter on it and check for any breaks in the wires.
  17. It’ll be on the drivers side usually just off the bend going up to the intake. At least that’s is where mine is as the wire is not long enough. Inner arch out, and wheel off to get to it. Or to make life easy, take the bumper off and take a few photos for reference in case you need anything else at a later date.
  18. Only pic I've got at the moment. It's a full THS setup. Slight modification to the slam panel (inside) so the pipes site in place. It can't be seen at all once the bumper is on. I have a bracket that supports the weight of the FMIC neatly, and it bolts to the slam panel. Unlike a lot of other people who attach it to their front panel.
  19. You have second hand kits on the other groups on FB, I’m sure. People are always breaking their cars. So I’d join a few groups and see if anything comes up. I run a FMIC but it’s a twin pass, so all the connections are in the drivers side, so it keeps it all OEM. If you’re going to run the normal FMIC, I think upgrading to the 225 Bam inlet looks better and gives a better flow. I’d still expect to spend between £300-£400 for a full kit, even second hand.
  20. Very nice!! 🤤
  21. Currently, the 7th car in my above list is for sale. If someone is wanting/looking for a very HIGH SPEC MK1 Octavia vRS. It's very similar to MY Corrida Red Spec (Minus the Parking Sensors and Heated Seats). Spec: MAXI DOT DISPLAY (WITH GPS AERIAL, FACTORY) DX SATNAV (You'll need to confirm this as I cannot see it in the photo) XENONS CRUISE CONTROL CORRIDA RED While the spec is nice, the condition isn't the best, and it needs some love. The inside I think needs ripping out! Also, it's worth noting that if you plan to run an intercooler with Xenons, you will have some trouble as the extra space is taken up by the xenon levellers. Best of luck should anyone want to go get it... If I had the space, I'd honestly would've bought it last week.
  22. Welcome aboard!
