  1. I might have a spare, but I won't be able to look for another week. If you need it fairly quickly, speak to Gav on the MK1 Octavia FB group. He has about 4/5 MK1 vRS's currently breaking.
  2. Good idea, I'll remember that for my next door handle job! Glad it's all done.
  3. Ah it's the same one I just posted then?

  5. Did you have a reg or location on this?
  6. Oh yes! Don’t do what I do/did. First time I didn’t realise. But, ever since then I now count the groves left over or use a marker pen.
  7. Very simply, put a small pick on the plastic part and push it or or poke it out, you’ll see that it’ll dangle there. 5:00 in - Same principle on Octavia
  8. After coming across Joe's video yesterday, I wondered if there is a Skoda Superb verison of this Passat that has a 70L tank? Volkswagen Passat. 1.6 TDI BlueMotion Tech Looking around for a long distance runner which is comfortable and can achieve good mileage on 1 tank of diesel. I have driven an estate SE Edition 2.0 in the past. I'm not too worried about a 1.6L and with it being gutless as it will be a cruiser. However, I want to avoid any of the engined with bad oil issues, etc. If not, I may look into picking one of these up. Any advice?
  9. English only please, or posts will not be approved.
  10. I would probably save the hassle and go for a complete custom exhaust.
  11. Cruise control is on the MSFW, with it optioned. You wouldn't get the stalk too...
  12. I did ask about this car, but their prices were a little farfetched... It was cheaper to visit Gav (2 hour trip) to get parts I needed.
  13. Should’ve offered it to Gav on the fb groups. He regularly picks them up weekly for breaking. I could do with a couple of bits off that, might go and have a look.
  14. Had this for my MOT 2 years ago. It’s was bad enough that I just told the garage to make up new copper lines all round. I couldn’t be arsed to faff about with bits here and there as it’s all going to corrode at some point. The tank was dropped and it was all done and completed in a day. Must’ve been about £200-£300 and most of that was just labour charge. Sometimes there’s just jobs that I send to the garage for. Saves my time and effort for little reward without a lift.
  15. Not sure if you have one, but I'm sure Gav is currently selling a full miltek system.
  16. Excellent news!!
  17. Have you still got the black charcoal canister in the left hand side near the headlight. That ticks away like a good’en and is often mistaken for worse noise. Our engines are quite tappity anyway.
  18. Though we are lucky it still says "RS" on the log book. 😁
  19. Use the PM feature to send email addresses please.
  20. Still looking for some… If anyone has a model and decides to scrap the car and it still has the badges, please let me know!!
  21. Wow what a story. I wondered who ordered it there, a fan of Skoda!?
  22. Welcome to the community. Do you have so pictures of it? How did you purchase the vehicle, is there a story about it with it going to the UAE?
  23. Sounds like the gearbox is on its way out. If it sounds like a whining sound, I doubt it’ll be the release bearing. A second hand box might be required.
  24. Do you know what the issues were in the end?
