  1. From the workshop manuals in the Kodiaq Guides section..
  2. The parking sensors will apply the brakes if the manoeuvre braking option is ticked in the parking and manoeuvring menu.
  3. Dual zone climate is standard only on the SEL. Monte Carlo trims are usually based on SE spec with some “ sporty” bits thrown in.
  4. Only the left mirror dips and the mirror controller on the door has to be turned to L .
  5. And a set of plastic wheel bolt covers.
  6. You cannot use a private number that makes a vehicle look newer than it is.
  7. I had VR51 and my initials on my Mk1 Octavia vRS but didn’t keep it when I traded it in as though it would look odd on another car. I now have a personal current style plate of initials and numbers that are relevant to me. Confuses some folk seeing a 57 plate on a newer car 😂
  8. No, it doesn’t have to been done by dealer, but it does need to be done by someone familiar with what is required. It’s all too easy to mix up Haldex and rear diff drain and fill points, and they have to be aware that the Haldex pump needs removed and the mesh filter cleaned. I believe that you also need to run the pump using VCDS on completion as per this… https://www.haldexrepairs.co.uk/generation-5-haldex-fault-finding-repair-guide/
  9. Well, that’s probably the problem. The Haldex system needs regular services and probably more regularly than the 3 years Skoda state. It also needs the pump filter cleaned as well as oil change. Mine failed @ 14,500 miles.
  10. £288 certainly isn’t cheap especially since it was only around £100 to choose as a factory fit option. I always like the security of having a spare wheel and got the factory fit on my current Kodiaq and the new facelift models now have a spare wheel as standard. I’m sure a how to in the guide section wouldn’t go a miss as there’s always others of the same mind that want a spare wheel and not to rely on the horrible gunk.
  11. I had similar a while back, strangely enough straight after dealer changed Haldex fluid. Dealer fitted new Haldex pump and new fluid again under warranty and it’s been fine since.
  12. From the above manuals 140kw = 190 hp
  13. Kenny R replied to Elski's topic in Skoda Yeti
    This might help..
  14. On the Skoda UK website a live chat bubble appears at the bottom right of the screen, click on this and your into live chat. There are reports on here that the system the live chat operators use to check order details is allegedly down and has been for the past 2 weeks. Going by the lack of any tangible updates from my dealer, the whole system is in chaos and they have no clue what’s built, being built, awaiting completion, awaiting transport.
  15. You also need to keep the power on if the front wheels do spin, if you lift off no power will be transferred to the rear wheels.
  16. 1st thing I would have done, is test it for myself to make sure. Don’t always believe what dealers tell/ fob you off with.
  17. If the garage that replaced the tyre or if you had “reset” the TPMS you would not have gotten any warning and would have been oblivious to the fact that one tyre was inflated to 2.5 bar. Which shows the benefits of checking tyre pressures regularly and resetting the TPMS as required. In the instance when you fitted the spare wheel, if you had reset the TPMS, no warning would have incurred.
  18. You can switch the interior lights on/ off individually, or switch them on/off using the switch in the front roof console mentioned above, and there’s another switch on there also that operates the interior lights when a door is open.
  19. I believe SE and above have heated mirrors. Have you turned the switch to the heated position?
  20. In that case you can instal/ update the map data using an SD card or usb stick from here.. https://updateportal.skoda-auto.com
  21. Depends on what unit is fitted. If it is the Amundsen then it should have been supplied with a SD card with map data installed. If it’s a recent purchase go back and ask for SD card that’s been removed.
  22. This was posted in the Kodiaq section earlier…. https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/vws-skoda-may-halt-production-due-chip-shortage-2021-10-07/

  24. The wheel nuts normally have plastic covers on them, hence they all look the same. Best check for wheel nut key, you might need it one day.
