  1. Well, 7 weeks after my new Kodiaq started its build, and expected September delivery, dealer update today to tell me system still showing “delayed” and they have no idea when it will complete the build process or when to expect delivery 😞
  2. Manufacturing is so slow partly due to the pandemic, but mostly due to the worldwide shortage of computer chips. Dealers are low or have no stock as a lot of people are buying them up, rather than wait 6 months or more on a new order. Second hand prices are also at a record high as dealers struggle to get some cars for stock, and are paying premium prices.
  3. I switched on auto hold when I collected my Kodiaq and it hasn’t been off in the 3 years since. Short learning curve on feathering the brake pedal, to allow creeping and auto hold not cutting in is all it takes. Autohold and dsg are a great combination. As to the EHB, I think in 3 years I’ve used it once.
  4. I’m sure 1.5 TSI FWD Kodiaqs have the DQ381 wet clutch DSG
  5. Did you opt for the 3rd key option @£45 which I believe offers the individual driver personalisation of driving mode, seat position, ambient light settings etc.
  6. I always change over to winters just after the clocks change at end of October.
  7. From my owners manual, the “ long term data” resets after 100 hours driving time.
  8. I believe all Skoda cars come from the factory set to variable service regime. Some dealers set this to fixed services during PDI, without consulting the buyer if they are a high or low annual mileage driver. If you have taken the service plan the dealer will undoubtedly set your car to fixed services so you get the first and second year services covered by the plan.
  9. As above, muddling info on wet clutch, dry clutch gearboxes, mechanical handbrake, EHB, Autohold no Autohold is just adding more confusion to the subject.
  10. You could have downloaded and transferred updated map data to the SD card you already had from the Skoda update portal for free. https://updateportal.skoda-auto.com
  11. But everyone knows toilet paper stops covid, it’s been on Facebook
  12. It’s crazy, no doubt someone somewhere has posted on social media that petrol/ diesel is going to run out, next thing every fuel station queued out this morning, our local Tescos certainly was. Next thing the fuel station tanks will be empty, and with the driver shortages will take i while to get refilled. Why can’t people just go about there business as usual and realise that it’s panic buying that’s a big part of the problems we’re having.
  13. Does using the EHB with the engine running not put undue pressure on the DSG. Sure I’ve read on this forum that you need to select N or P if you are applying the EHB with engine running.
  14. As @e-Roottoot say above. Also, I’ve had no problems not having an order number when using the live chat on the Skoda website to get updates on my orders. They have been very helpful and easily found my order number with just a few personal details.
  15. Until you start driving again the system has nothing to calculate the estimated range against apart from the data stored from your previous tankful.
  16. You’ve missed Snake Oil off the list
  17. Going for a “good run” is not always guaranteed to charge the battery on a micro hybrid system that tends to only charge the battery on the overrun to save fuel. You might be better investing in a charger suitable for your battery type agm/ efb if your not using the car regularly.
  18. As above, the dashcam should have a battery or capacitor backup, and shouldn’t be effected by engine restarting.
  19. What your Kodiaq is legally allowed to tow will be marked on the vin plate which is on the drivers door pillar.
  20. When I had my Haldex oil change and pump filter cleaned at its 3rd service (14500 miles) the pump filter was apparently similar to this..
  21. Apart from a strange noise when manoeuvring at slow speed with a lot of steering lock on, which I thought might be a rear diff problem, there was no warnings of any kind. Booked into dealer to investigate and it took them best part of a week to come back and say Haldex pump was faulty and had been replaced and all now ok. As far as I know with previous Yeti and current Kodiaq the Haldex does not initiate any fault lamps when faulty, you just find out as you did that the rear wheels are not providing any drive.
  22. Even having the Haldex oil changed and pump filter cleaned at the correct intervals is sadly no guarantee that all is ok. My Kodiaqs Haldex pump failed shortly after being serviced at my local dealer. Coincidence ? or not, at least it was replaced under the extended warranty.
  23. You don’t have to engage off-road mode for the drive to go to 4 wheels, it does this automatically in normal everyday driving. I would check that the Haldex services have been done as here in the UK it is an addition to normal services and even then Skoda dealers in the UK just change the oil and do not remove the pump and clean the filter unless you specifically ask them, and the garage you deal with has a clue. One thing to note if you haven’t driven a Haldex equipped car before if the front wheels do slip you need to keep the power on to allow drive to transfer to the rear, assuming your Haldex IS working.
  24. Interested in how you selected 4wd mode. I suspect you mean off-road mode. How long have you had the car, has the Haldex oil been changed and the pump filter cleaned if due.
  25. My Kodiaq could be in amongst that lot 😞
