Redex Motor oil
The Redex oil I looked at in Tesco said recommended for VW 504 applications, nowhere could I see that it actually met VW specifications, or was actually VW approved.

When would you manually activate the parking brake?
When you come to a stop using the foot brake the autohold applies and the green icon appears on the dash. As soon as you touch the accelerator the autohold will release. I believe after 10 mins on autohold, the handbrake automatically applies but your highly unlikely to sit for that time anyway. Also with a bit of practice you can feather the brake pedal which allows slow manoeuvring without the autohold coming on.

When would you manually activate the parking brake?
In almost 4 years of ownership I think I may have used the EHB once. And yes as you’ve already sussed, if your using autohold, the handbrake does apply when you open the drivers door.

Purpose of seat icons in driver info screen (analogue dash)
The rear seats don’t have weight sensors in them like the front two, just contacts on the seat belt buckles.

You can see in this picture the seat icons 1,3 and 5 depict the 3 seats in the second row, seat icons 2 and 4 ar set slightly lower to depict the rearmost two seats.- Purpose of seat icons in driver info screen (analogue dash)
The 5 icons in the latest Kodiaq are for the middle and rear seats. If the driver or passenger do not put their seatbelts on you get an audible warning and a red icon on the dash.- Purpose of seat icons in driver info screen (analogue dash)
My Kodiaq definitely shows which rear seat belt has been applied. The new facelift Kodiaq now has icons for the 6th and 7th seats as well as the middle row.- Purpose of seat icons in driver info screen (analogue dash)
They show you when the seat belts are in use.- Anyone else ordered a new Kodiaq?
My new Skoda arrived, just not the Kodiaq I’ve been hoping for Merry Christmas and hope everyone waiting on new cars get them soon.- 20 Plate Karoq. Retrofit heated windscreen.
I would imagine a heated screen would be considerably more expensive than a standard screen, adding the fact there won’t be any loom or connectors just waiting. You would need the complete wiring loom, heated screen button, which might need a whole new unit with the appropriate button installed and also might need coded as well. All assuming insurance would agree to fitting a heated screen instead of what’s fitted.- KESSY functionality on mk4 Octavia
For peace of mind , and considering you can get 2 for less than £10, I would still put the keys in a faraday pouch when in the house.- New matrix headlights
From what I’ve read here, if you’ve got the new matrix headlights you push the stalk forward and the “a” high beam icon illuminates and above 40 mph the high beam will come on and will block parts of the beam to avoid oncoming cars and cars in front with no need for driver intervention. I believe if you put the high beam on, blue icon on dash, then you need to dip the beam manually, it doesn’t auto dip. Cant wait to try it in my new Kodiaq ,if it ever arrives.- Yeti big tyres and 20mm lift

I’m no expert but is solid brown not the earth.- Delivery times?
If in UK the Skoda UK has a contact us email available. I’ve already tried that route as the web chat stopped giving out any info on build status, but contacting customer services was a waste of time. Ended up getting a scripted phone call and wouldn’t give out any build date/ delivery information just the same script of all car manufacturers are in the same situation, ended up hanging up.- Anyone else ordered a new Kodiaq?
Skoda employee ?- Anyone else ordered a new Kodiaq?
I ordered my Kodiaq early June, had a built date of week beginning 16th August and delivery expected in September. This changed to delivery due November. Now it appears Skoda have went into radio silence, dealer not getting any tangible info, Skoda UK web chat won’t give any info, and Skoda UK customer services won’t give out any info on individual orders either. Meanwhile there’s 100’s of Kodiaq’s parked up in the snow at Kralove airfield and more seem to get added daily. Total shambles if you ask me.- Yeti fuse location for RHD car
Check the OP.- Another Battery post
As above you really need to check the resting voltage when all systems have shut down. 12.2 v does not indicate a duff battery, bearing in mind the smart alternator/ micro hybrid charging system only charges the battery to around 80% to allow capacity for the alternator space to dump charge on the overrun.- Doors...
- Flat Battery New Car
Worth noting that with modern smart alternator/ micro hybrid charging systems, the battery is normally only charged to around 80% to allow space for the alternator to dump charge on the overrun.- Anyone else ordered a new Kodiaq?
Not that I’ve found. It appears that the dealers aren’t getting any useful updates from Skoda either. My dealer suggested that I tried Customer Service to see if they would give me any information as to what has happened to my order, but all I got was an obviously scripted phone call telling me that all car manufacturers are suffering the same global problems and couldn’t / wouldn’t comment on my order.- Kodiaq into a Karoq front seats?
Page 515 in this guide shows wiring connections for Kodiaq electric seats, this would need to be transposed to Karoq wiring. https://www.briskoda.net/forums/files/file/41-skoda-kodiaq-current-flow-diagram-workshop-manual/?do=download&csrfKey=d3eb0f16994d6eaa98531a1e8e3f0739- Skoda electronics gone haywire!
Sounds like the wiring loom between the a pillar and the door. Pull back the rubber bellows cover and check for broken/ chafed wires. Plenty posts in here and yeti section on how to repair. - Purpose of seat icons in driver info screen (analogue dash)
