  1. If it’s a good reputable map then it’ll be fine. If the map was the problem the engine would throw a code and it would go into safe mode. I had a superb sportline 4x4 mapped to 235bhp 530nm and never had an issue fully loaded etc !! Uprated rad and fan set would be the thing here I think and if you wanted to an Uprated oil cooler would certainly not do any harm.
  2. Just get obd eleven it’s on special this moth. Makes it soooo easy. Plug in, select brake service and rewinds the calipers for you. You still have to push them back in but it’s easy. Change brakes then close brake service and all done
  3. Koni special actives with H&R springs and 12mm spacers. Winter wheels and stock summers. TVS ecu and tcu an racingline goodies
  4. Winter mode sorted. Nexen winguard sport 2 tyres and pictoris rims with 15mm spacers
  5. When my bcm went the dash strip ledlights went the mfd all went full and the heated seats didn’t work. bcm was 500 English pounds and then couple hours labour to recode. Can only be done via Odis
  6. Yep I’ve spotted they were modded when I was in the go station on the strand rd in Derry. I was filling my 272 estate up and saw the brakes on an unmarked one, was looking at it. The officer asked if I was ok and I just said I was wondering what brakes they were. Had about quick chat about it and he basically said pretty much what’s documented above. Armoured metal (not obvious) but the windows and brakes most certainly are
  7. Launch control with the TVS stge2+ map is brilliant. Can launch at 3 different rpms and it just buggers off. Can do it with traction on too now, Think it’s set at 3k 3.5k and 4.5k. Also remember your gearbox has a launch counter !!! Can be traced with Odis or vcds and can be cleared with that too but the dealer would check if you had a warrantee drive train issue. One guy I’ve heard of on the golf forums brought a 12month old second hand rs3 and when he found out about the counter he plugged it in… 80 launches 😂😂☠️
  8. My 272 and my previous 4x4 diesel has never had any issues with age. And mileage apart from the usual Maintenence stuff. Those mot advisories are nothing really don’t worry. As already said. Get the alignment checked properly from time to time and as for brakes you’ll probs find once discs and pads have been changed for aftermarket. Ate/brembo/zimmerman they be totally fine itll keep you right for many more miles so don’t panic
  9. Boost leak noise would come in around 3k I’d have thought as that’s where max boost will hit. Might not be divert or valve but it’s certainly worth upgrading to gfb’s new one T9381. for the sake of 150 ish euro/pounds.
  10. All about the torque being flat from 2.5-3k really helps with mid range times
  11. Never really timed 0-100 but I think around 4-4.5 but I did time the 100-200 and that was 10secs
  12. TVs stage 2+ gear box map and what they call stage 2 which is generally some intake Mods which I have listed: down pipe and intercooler would be the next couple mods:
  13. I can vouch for the TVS full package. Dsg stage 2 plus and the stage 2 as they call it map. Mapped to run 98 octane. It’s bloody quick and smooth. 380bhp 550nm RL turbo elbow, muffler delete, coil packs, r600. GFB dv+ lowered on h&r and koni special actives with 12mm spacers all round.
  14. Probably because it’s a generic box programmed on a new vehicle. And probably a boost/torque spike so the company can say it’s high torque 🤔 Custom Remap time !! However it does sound like a new clutch if you intend to do that. have seen plenty of remaps and tuning boxes that should be 480 nm ish but because there is a spike it gets sold as over 500nm. For a split second. That’ll always screw the clutch
  15. I had a shark tune on my Vrs octy diesel when I had it. Then Ben from shark moved to Racingline and when I got my diesel superb 4x4 I went to him there and they did me a gorgeous map. revo have 20% off their maps at the moment and I wouldn’t be surprised if Racingline follow suit shortly
  16. Koni special actives coupled with h&r springs if you want lower. If not just the shocks
  17. 100% adjustable on the rear end mate. I’ve had mine set up for fasst road geometry runs just under 2 degrees neg camber on the ears and I can remember toe but certainly is adjustable. Yes I do get inside tyre wear but not too bad. That’s even fine when I’m carrying some weight. I think manufacturer tolerance is 1.3-1.6 something like that
  18. Oooooh must have been a different set up if seen then. Off to Facebook market place 😉
  19. On brakes. The 340mm disc are plenty enough. With some good performance pads in they do work well and if you do want a nice upgrade the discs can remain the same size and Aston Martin 4 pots fitted also if you want to go up a size to 360mm I think then the Audi tts brakes fit. However !!! Bigger disc mean more weight. I’ve done the ring a few times with these 340mm Zimmerman (golf club sport) discs and drilled rears and never had a problem. But also the ring is not that heavy on brakes (tyres and keeping engine cool however) compared to a smaller circuit.. for fast road standard disc and performance pads and lines are way more than adequate.
  20. I have these on the front at least a kilogram lighter than stock.. and then the Zimmerman sport coat z Drilled on the back. Looking at autodoc now and looks like they have some new directional slotted discs that look good by Zimmermann
  21. Yes 560nm. I had it done initially in the uk via a TVS agent the was 360bhp 530nm I then fitted the r600 and gfbdv+ so when I was over in Holland on holiday I popped in and got them to recalibrate for 99 octane fuel and to account for the additional mods. Awesome crew there. Cool, sounds like next little mod will be the ARB and front bottom arm bushes then
  22. Nice mods and you’ve gotta love a sleeper. Similar journey for mine. Came from a modded diesel 4x4 superb. Had to have the 272. lowered on H&R with koni special actives. Racingline elbow, muffler delete, R600, silicone hose, GFBDV+ mapped by TVS engineering in the Netherlands. Including their stage2+ dsg map. Also Zimmerman formula z discs upfront and drilled coat z on the back h&r arb kit next and super pro bottom arms. Was the arb east to fit, did you have to drop the subframe. I also have a Racingline subframe alignment kit to fit so will probs do at same time.
  23. If a dragon Green was available I’d have had one
