  1. Both of mine. lowered on H&R with koni special actives and 12mm all round H&R spacers. White one diesel then. Traded for red 272
  2. That’ll defo make for a harder rear
  3. Not sure about eibach @MarkyG82because I run H&R but how do your measurements compare to these H&R
  4. 😂😂 it averages 40mpg on a run !! you’ll love the konis 360bhp 530nm 0-60mph 4’s 60-120 in 11’s
  5. Nah never tried them with standard springs. I’d imagine they would be better but still not that sharp.. I reckon with these it’s as sharp as my previous octavia with just H&R. Certainly a lot more compliant and less crashy. it was odd taking them off and going to standard shocks and springs when I sold the previous superb tho. Very boat like. Also driving the new one home was agin quite wafty lol. Really happy with set up now but the H&R anti toll bars are tempting me. Might seek a little more power with a sport cat down pipe and intercooler before I go with roll bar.
  6. Money we’ll spent Mark. You’ll not regret it. I sold the diesel and brought at 272 and transferred the shocks over with some new H&R springs.. tis marvellous oh and had it mapped lol
  7. Google haldex repairs Crewe. The guy is a proper guru.
  8. I’d certainly not be looking at tuning options if you are using that much oil… my last octavia and superb diesels have both been mapped for 100+ miles and haven’t used anywhere near that amount of oil. someone else may have had a different experience but I’d be looking at oil use before tuning !!
  9. The tvs box map is fantastic and couple it with either a racingline, tvs or revo map would be absolutely spot on. price of a 1000 is about what you’ll pay for a combo. yes the tvs map can be written to run 97,98,or 99 octane fuel. But most figures you’ll see quoted by the tuners will all be on premium 99 fuel. momentum, vpower, esso supreme, etc
  10. Sorry my mistake. Seems it’s an ethanol sensor not octane sensor.
  11. I remember that map for the twin charger. I had a CTHE car but wouldn’t dare have it mapped due to the engine being made of cheese and the fact hardly anyone did maps for them because if they did they were almost certainly guaranteed to go wrong quicker. Agreed about fuel too.. if it’s mapped to run 97-99 then I needs to run that ideally.. just had a tvs engine a box map for my sportline 272 and it’s absolutely spot on but that’s mapped to run 99 octane.. they do a flex fuel option now which allows the ecu to detect ron and change the map accordingly.. not a cheap mod tho because different fuel pumps and octane sensors added to the list of bits required.. but also allows E85 to be used.. some research involved in that set up I’d imagine
  12. Always gone with remap and All done in excess of 100k miles no problem…. By a good reputable tuner as they test the maps extensively before releasing into the market.. yes there is risk associated with engine and drive train warrantee but I would say less risk with a proper map than a box because map is still keeping things within tolerance.. the box AFAIK fools things and doesn’t map every parameter that a map will. Therefore more chance of a component failure. (Also still traceable if manufacturer wants to find it) Things that can add wear to parts are torque spikes in the map to (get extra few nm) intake and exhaust temps to high. not worth it for a few extra figures.. for safety a nice smooth delivery and within a useable range.. some peak hp figures occur just before red line. For normal rd use that’d be a waste. hope that makes some sense. And remember every car is different so custom map or generic then tweaked on a dyno will always be safer than a box that is generic to the nice new car it was written on originally. Also dsg map is worth doing. I’ve found the tvs engineering one best I’ve ever had and some nice life extender features included. Like changing down to first instead of slllping at junctions in 2nd also changing up at slightly higher revs when pottering around to reduce low rev load
  13. Yea they are quick with a remap. This is 360bhp 530nm. Tvs engineering box and engine FullSizeRender.MOV
  14. Yes Ben is one of the software directors at shark and is both my superb and octavia prior to that. One manual 120k before I sold it and 1 dsg 115k befor I sold it. Never and issues. the up is a cracking car to drive and with a map 150bhp lol
  15. Yep have used racingline in the past with awesome reliable results. Over 100k miles in each vehicle. Both diesel though. Also I have an up gti which will soon be done by them after driving one of their development ones 😉
  16. I would say a small amount yes because it’s from the Egr pipe or vacuum hose residue. If it’s a lot then maybe a turbo issue
  17. Revo racingline and tvs engineering all have opf/Gpf software.. my superb 4x4 has just made 360bhp and 530nm with Gpf. 0-120 under 15 s 👍🏻
  18. Diesel or petrol. I’ve used racingline/shark. tvs engineering both very reliable and successfully all 3 vehicles have done over 100k no bother
  19. There is a setting or something in vcds that asks for tyre circumference.. that would be the one to check and change to suit current tyres
  20. Zimmerman sport drilled for rear. Racingline fronts
  21. Go pro on chest mount…in Germany before anyone asks !! 👍🏻 It’s bloody quick total vid length 12 secs FullSizeRender.MOV
  22. Done a 60-120 today. I will try again tomorrow to confirm but.. under 11 seconds. So I would think 15 secs 0-120 which is bloody impressive in my book
  23. I would defo think loads of wheel spin is the issue here. Certainly no bogging down with the 4x4. The lower rev launch is insane. Revs sit at around 3.5k so when it goes it’s right in the high torque band
