  1. As above. Ben is now at racingline and I personally wouldn’t go anywhere else.
  2. Hmmm help please guys.. Superb mk3 sportline.. interior lights gone really dull on dash and stereo.. footwell lights not working and accent/ambient lights around dash n doors not working and rear roof lights flicker dull what pressing the switch half way but not Whalen pressed to on All turned up to max. Any ideas ?? Battery ?
  3. It’ll be prop shaft coupling I’d have thought. They expand I believe and go dry. My bro in-laws yeti used to do it at about 65
  4. Racingline all the way mate. Their maps and tcu maps are superb.. yes one of the software developers (Ben) is the guy who used to own shark. I’ve had a shark map on old octavia and now racingline map on my superb. stunning and longevity too.. mines done over 120k so far with the map and no bother at all
  5. H&R on octy and now superb but have now combined them with koni special actives. Another level now
  6. Koni special actives and H&R springs here
  7. I’ve gone with koni special actives. Massive difference. But I am also lowered on H&R
  8. I have a racingline mapped diesel superb 4x4 dsg. 235bhp and 540nm. It’s much better than the standard 190 and 400nm lol. Had a tdi manual octavia before and that was racinglines/shark map too. But that was manual. Tgat worked well at 225bhp and 485nm. No clutch slip etc. Both well over 100k miles. on the dsg box the map changes the drivability massively and it should really done when mapped but not essential. It means the clamping pressures can be increased and shift times increased by quite a lot too. I’m not 100% sure but I think the gearbox has torque limits in too so if they haven’t been changed then it will still limit engine torque regardless of engine map ? Just get box done at same time you’ll not regret it ;-)
  9. H&R made it less floaty but then this fixes the floatiness completely
  10. Yea koni special actives are spot on. Have them on my superb and it’s made a massive difference. I have them with H&R springs and the ride quality feels a lot more expensive now lol 👍🏻 The vwr springs people talk about are vw racing. Which are racingline springs and yes they are good too
  11. The 4x4 does handle a lot better and of course it is better on snow than a 2wd.. yes the 2wd with winters is ok and gets through most British winters but the 4x4 is another level. Also helps with getting out of muddy festival fields.. I’ve had both 2wd and 4wd. Also depends on how you drive but 4x4 does work very well in the wet when pulling out of junctions and in standing water situations.. I do 2k miles a month in mine and notice the subtle differences the 4x4 makes over the 2wd. Fuel economy is compromised slightly though and servicing costs are higher because of haldex oil changes and filter cleans every 30k. Mine isn’t the raised option though. I have the sportline and it’s lowered. My reason for buying 4x4 was handling, surefootedness and because were go snowboarding and skiing in Europe regularly
  12. eBay Germany before brexit tax lol. H&R sell a kit including longer bolts and locking nut. Also think euro car parts sell them but won’t be cheap. Try eBay.de search for H&R Spurverbreiterung 5x112
  13. Yep same !! Boot floor bone dry. Side pockets bone dry. Jus wheel well. I too had towbar fitted and noticed it shortly after. Possibly coming in through wiring grommet when washing. Not had chance yet to put small child in boot when washing to check for me lol
  14. If you’ve had maps from shark then racingline will be the obvious choice as Ben who used to own shark is now at racingline.
  15. never had a problem running lowered springs on them in the past and Fiat/abarth run konis fsd’s (special actives) on their punto and 500’s with eibach lowered springs as standard on their essesee kits
  16. After lowering original rods are bit long so preloads they arb.. these are adjustable length so can shorten them to take preload off arb. Also ball ends are heavy duty metal not plastic so much stronger and last longer. Plus they look sexy haha
  17. Koni special actives mate. Just fitted a set that I brought form a member on here and it’s absolutely lush
  18. Just fitted the koni fsd (special active) and wow what a difference.. no wallowing round corners no bouncing after bumps and no crashing though potholes and minor bumps.. really sure footed now.. I am also lowered on H&R with 12mm spacers. It’s properly spot on and very highly recommended mid for the price
  19. Spacers make a big difference mate. I run 12mm front and back.. H&R ones but I’m also lowered on H&R.
  20. Non vented 300mm and vented are 310 but just on the 280’s as said above.. however just to confuse things I think some of the Superbs also have 280ish on them
  21. Did you fit them yourself... did you notice they don’t have the little lug on the bottom to locate them in the strut holder.. they seem to have a slightly different locating system.. ??? Any problems
  22. I’m looking at the special actives next.. I have H&R springs already.. those ones on eBay are eeeexpensive... you can get a brand new set for 450 !!!
  23. I used a saris bones boot rack no problem on my estate for years. Have upgraded to a superb sportline now so treated myself to a towbar and rack
  24. Yes mate that’s absolutely spot on.. H&R springs and 12mm H&R spacers. That’s on a pre facelift car as the facelift ones have a wider rear track 👍🏻
  25. Awesome I’ll have a look. Looks like it’s 2 part numbers. I’ll see how many doubloons they want for one. In the meantime I’ll continue to wedge it in between the front seats above the arm rest haha
