Citigo added to the family garage.
The rear drums on a Citigo look like a simple, symmetrical set-up to me - not sure that going forward or backwards makes any difference....

Aftermarket Head Units/Radios - Looking for inspiration
I have the post face-lift Swing with DAB. It's not a bad unit; the DAB is surprisingly effective, which I was not expecting. I have a bunch of music on a 128GB SDcard which plays nicely, and I believe the unit could go to 256GB if I could be bothered. Even 128GB gives me around 12,000 tracks ripped at @320kb/s , and many at 48kHz. I.e even that quality is overkill for a car environment. I too was fed up with the previous versions of the Maps&More app, and nearly give up on it, but the current version works very well on my old and low spec Moto G4 phone - we have used it to navigate a few times (it works fine, and plays nav voice through the speakers, and does the phone properly, with the steering wheel controls), and lets me check fuel consumption (not quite accurate but good enough) and water temp. The underlying maps are from one of the two big maps suppliers (i.e. as used by almost all SatNavs), and are up-to-date-enough for me. I have another SatNav anyway. The trick with Maps&More is to completely uninstall older versions of the app, do a power off reset, and then install the latest version and maps using a reliable Wifi link and reliable broadband. At least it worked for me! I suppose I'm saying that if you can find a recent used, Swing unit at a good price, it may be cheaper/easier than a (probably better) Android head, and not be in the way of all the heater controls! Certainly less likely to get stolen if you go into cities.

My dealer-supplied kit did - plus the little puller for the wheel bolt caps.

Enjoy! Crazy about the tax though...

Swap Dash Mount From GPS to Mobile Phone
Don't try to power anything USB from 12V source - you will likely destroy everything you connect, as USB, for charging, is only 5V. But you can buy a very cheap 12v to 5V USB "buck" from Amazon etc, which will convert voltages for charging purposes - I have done this a few times, including to provide multiple USB charging on a 5th wheel, when no mains was available. The idea of USB charging has nothing to do with USB data connectivity, as mentioned; normal USB cables however, have charging/power and data signals. USB data and control to/from a given device is dependent on whether a particular head unit supports it or not - and I don't quite know what the pre-facelift cars had!

Making a Citigo vrs, up gti conversion any interest
No I haven't misread, I'm just saying that this site is practically dead, while the Up! site is far bigger and more far more lively and knowledgeable, and welcomes Mii and Citigo owners. It is also better coded. Most contributors there seem to have GTis and many of them are into modding, and some work as techs or parts guys VW dealerships... You may find it more interesting to hang out there, and they will like to read about your upgrade - this site seems to have become, of late, mostly about how to change fuses or fix water leaks - which is fine, if course.

Making a Citigo vrs, up gti conversion any interest
Great idea, but you'll get far more ideas from the Up! owners forum. And don't forget GTI's have bigger front disks. An alternative is to get the TSi engine and change the map.

Tyre size query
I was confused by "5 bolts" until I saw the car was a Fabia - isn't this the Citigo section?

2017 Headlamp bulb
So yours is a "variant 2". Same as mine for all 4 headlight bulbs... Clearly, some models have spring clips though (variant 1)!

Keys?
Same with my 2019 model... Cheapskates!

Help needed
It's probably a coding problem associated with the BCM, and maybe a wiring issue. Changing radios is not simple anymore! You may have to find a car radio shop that knows the 'magic sauce'....

Retro fit Front fog lights
My Citigo came with the the twin H7 lamp units (so on main beam, you have all 4 bulbs on), but I'd never use main beam in fog. This may be a better upgrade than a new bumper, fog lights etc...

Retro fit Front fog lights
Yes new bumper, but why? The fog lights are all but pointless....

Spare wheel
Any* sensible wheel that will bolt onto your hubs will fit in the wheel well - the wheel diamater is not the issue, it's the diameter of the of the wheel+tyre assembly that counts. *You will need to stick with a wheel/tyre that has about the same circumference as the existing wheels. If you don't, then ABS and stability controls won't work correctly! You can get a 14" wheel (and then tyre) as you say, with the same rolling radius, but you could get a 15" or 16" alloy or steel wheel that would mean no 50mph or distance limits...

2017 Headlamp bulb
- Skoda Citigo handbrake
- 2017 Headlamp bulb
I'm in the middle of installing Hifi in our lounge, but I will take a look at mine later, and get back to you. I haven't had need to change a bulb yet, but the lamp units may vary - for example mine is a twin H7 system (per lamp unit). Can you post a couple of pics of yours?- 2017 Headlamp bulb
It's just tight, or very slightly corroded into the bulb-holder.... Assumimg you can remove the bulb and bulb-holder from the lamp unit OK (releasing the wire clip), then use a fine blade screwdriver (or two) by carefully insterting into the gap and twisting. Go round the circumference and do a bit at a time. If you cannot get the screwdriver in, then try a small penknife blade (but don't break the tip off it!)- Citigo 2014 'bogging down' In 3rd and 4th ! No Power To Rev Harder !
Can you get any ODB fault codes off it? Have you checked fuel filter? And how's the battery? - given it happens once, the battery may be slightly depleted after a start but then getting charged a little so you don't see the fault twice - it could be affecting igintion if it's not in good condition. In any case, disconnect and reconnect the battery to fully reset the ECU.- Any Citigo-e IV user
Seriously though, this is a dead and abandoned car as far as VAG are concerned, in terms of numbers. You will never get any worthwhile long-term support, being only a few hundred. Sell them while you still can and move on to something mainstream...- Swing Radio - Maximum SD Card Size
I used a 128G card for a while, but have switched to a 64G card of late. I recall reading somewhere that the limit on a Swing radio was 25G but I can't confirm that. I have about 400G of MP3's, and 200G of FLAC files on my home NAS/RAID unit (the latter files being no use on a Swing, and pointlessly too high quality for a car environment), so at first I was thinking of copying my whole MP3 collection onto a large SD card, but a) I think it could not be done and work on a Swing and b) much of the music I simply don't play very often. A big factor for me is write-speed of SD cards - it's crazy slow and never as fast as advertised, so just setting up favourites and a few new files every so often is all I can stand, hence going back to a small 64G card!- Fuel gauge stuck on empty after filling up.
Two positions - full or empty, seems to justify my "binary" quip! If it is a regualr occurance, you'll need to pull out the sender and have a fettle... (it is very unlikely to be the dash gauge these days).- Citigo Left Sidleights
Wino's point is that the left tail light and left sidelight use the same fuse, so if the tail light works, it's not the fuse. Here's my fusebox from under the dash, it may not be the same as yours....- Fuel gauge stuck on empty after filling up.
"Bear in mind these gauges are not precision things" Sure! But OP appeared to have a gauge that had become binary, which is not right. IMHO, the sender arm was stuck, as sometimes happens.- Heater not working after stereo upgrade
Obviously, but the OP did say "blows cold" so I assume the fan is running?
