  1. How good is the relocated snow plough? Does it obscure the lidar sensor at all? Thanks, AG Falco
  2. Sounds more like there is a problem with the car that is affecting the battery? Thanks, AG Falco
  3. It might be suggesting this and assuming the battery is not connected to a car. The charger doesn't know what car battery it is being attached to. I have driven a car with this engine and was impressed with it. If the battery is loosing charge quickly then try disconnecting the battery if you don't plan to use the car for a while. This might indicate if the car is draining the battery when connected. Is the car left inside a garage? Is the car locked when not in use? Cars that are not used much always have battery problems, and the newer the car the worse it is. Thanks, AG Falco
  4. No, but understand the consequences before you do this. If you remove the small Black wire connected to the Negative terminal you wont need a Stop / Start Battery. I also always turn off the Stop / Start for every journey. You should NOT connect the charger to both terminals. The negative lead needs to be connected to the earthing post on the inside wing near the negative battery terminal. Note that the nut on the end of the post is painted and if you connect to this the battery wont charge. You can find details in the car handbook on this. Is the car a petrol or Diesel? Can you get the battery checked / tested first including the charging rate under load? You can get a devise that will plug in to the power outlet / cigarette lighter that can show the voltage in real time. I have a 2016 Petrol at 80,000 km with no problems with the original battery. Thanks, AG Falco
  5. This is a problem with better sealed cars. Just like houses with double glazing and no ventilation. With mine these things help:- Clean the windows thoroughly. I find that a hard rub with new unused paper hand towel after cleaning with window cleaner works. A dehumidifying bag on the front dash over night. When you start the car run the heater on hot with the AC on and directed at the screen. It also helps to open a window or two a crack. If you can try this:- Leave both front windows open about 1/2 inch all night with the alarm interior sensor off. You can put a car window sheet over the car. You will then find that because the temperature both inside and outside the windows are the same there is no condensation. Thanks, AG Falco
  6. Yes you do. A normal battery will die within 6 months. Check if it is an EFB or AGM Stop / Start type battery. Driving the car wont fully charge the battery by design! Are you using a battery charger that is suitable for a Stop / Start battery? Also, are you connecting the battery charger to both battery terminals? Thanks, AG Falco
  7. Don't assume, ask. A good garage that does lots of batteries should have one / use one. Did they use one then? Went to Thredbo once from ACT. Thanks, AG Falco
  8. To make sure the car remember all the electronic settings you can power the car via the OBD port at the same time. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/154037203489 others are available. Thanks, AG Falco
  9. In theory, Yes. But that is not the only factor to consider. Look at the Youtube clip for real info. Thanks, AG Falco

  11. Try fuse 46, listed as:- Front and rear window washer, operating lever under the steering wheel. Thanks, AG Falco

  13. Which Infotainment system have you got? Swing? Bolero? Thanks, AG Falco
  14. I do a 12 miles journey to work but with air / ground temperatures rarely getting to / below 0 C. ( so far this year. I have seen -15 C down here from the weather station outside my property previously . ) Before fitting the cover the oil Temp would reach low to mid 80's by the end of this journey. It now reaches low to mid 90's. I have the oil Temp as the default display on the car's MFD. The oil will now hit 50 C within 3-4 miles from starting. I don't let the engine warm before I start my journey. The made up cover only partially covers the lower grill, not any of the upper grill. On my car the main engine radiator is behind the upper grill. There is a water intercooler for the air intake below this. There is no divider between the two grills after the inner bumper. Thanks, AG Falco
  15. The car can be set to:- Variable servicing. This is worked out by the car depending on its use. This can be up to 30,000 Km, 18 - 24 months. or Fixed servicing. Every 15,000 km or 372 days which ever comes first. You can look on the cars infotainment system to see when the next service and / or inspection is due. You can ask Skoda if they have any service history for the car on their Digital Service Record system. You will want the VIN number for this. Thanks, AG Falco
  16. I have found you need to look at the oil Temperature as this is a more realistic indication of the engine temperature. The water temperature just goes up to 90 C and just stays there unless it gets very hot. You will also notice that the oil temp. takes a lot longer to get hot. It has made the oil run hotter in my car after I made / fitted one. Thanks, AG Falco
  17. Correct tyres first. Thanks, AG Falco
  18. What make / tread pattern are the rear tyres? Thanks, AG Falco
  19. ET is the measurement from the inner wheel hub face to the centre line of the wheel rim in MM. This is in MM. Positive value unless it has a - ( negative ) in front of the number. See Positive offset above for yours. An ET of 45 is 1MM closer to the centre line of the wheel you quote as wanting an ET of 46. Nobody would notice this. As the number gets lower the wheel sits further in and closer to the suspension/spring parts. So if you go too low you risk the inner edge of the tyre rubbing on the suspension /spring parts. Will 185 60 15 tyres on 6J x 15 5x100 give you more options on wheels and tyres. ET might be 38 with this size wheel/tyre though. Thanks, AG Falco
  20. The Fabia TSI engines have long life spark plugs fitted. My Fabia III 1.2 TSI required spark plugs at 40,000 miles. I did change them at the 4th fixed service at less than 4 years and 38,000 miles. The old ones still looked good. I doubt it is worth looking at your spark plugs. Thanks, AG Falco
  21. Yes I could see a small radiator underneath the main one. Looks like it cools the turbo as well and being electric it can run after the engine has been turned off. Thanks for that, makes more sense now. Thanks, AG Falco
  22. Yes, noticed this but could not work out where the pipes went to / came from. Would it be worth blocking up the upper grill instead of the lower one then? Thanks, AG Falco
  23. Neither of the two I have made are a perfect fit, both have gaps around the edges that will still let some air in . I made a cardboard template first to help with the shape / size. I do / will remove them when I do the winter / summer tyre swap normally around when the clocks change. The other car's AC condenser has suffered during it's life but the intercooler is to one side. Don't think the Fabia III TSI engine has an intercooler though. ''The charge air is cooled by a charge air cooler, through which coolant flows, located in the intake manifold.'' ''Intake manifold with integrated charge air cooler'' Thanks, AG Falco
