On two of my cars I run Vredestein Quatrac 5 as my winter tyres, from Oct / Nov to March / April. I run summers for the rest of the year, and have done this since 2009 with one car. I am also from down south and have had no problem even with snow covering the roads. They are almost to good compared to driving the car I have with summers in snow. Had a BMW X5 car driver stop me at a bottom of a steep hill to say to me:- ' You wont get up that hill as I can't in mine and I have a £40.000 4 x 4.' I thanked him and promptly accelerated up the hill, smiling to myself in my Fiat Panda. The only downside is the number if tyres I have, 28 at the minute. Thanks. AG Falco

In my experience you can't expect a Tyre manufacture to have an up to date website. Mytyres are based in Germany so they supply the tyres from Germany. Michelin might not import that size in to the UK. Thanks. AG Falco

Do you hear the noise with just the ignition on or only when the engine is running? Have you tried turning the AC and or heater fan on / off to see if it changes? When you open the bonnet where is the noise coming from? Use a funnel to help with direction. I use the centre core from a kitchen towel roll placed over one ear to help. Just keep moving your head to change the direction of the sound, aiming for the loudest point. Thanks. AG Falco

I think that Spark Plug replacement is at 4 Years or 40 K miles. It is on both my Fabia and Citigo. See here:- https://www.skoda.co.uk/owners/servicing-maintenance-fixed-price Air filter is at 60 K but you need to move the air filter housing to do the spark plugs. So the Fabia's air filter was replaced at 40 k when the plugs were done by me. I will do the same on the Citigo which is due this year. Thanks. AG Falco

Lump of wood and a bigger hammer from the inside would be my method. Slow and gentle with the end of the wood to have a curved end. No sharp edges. Work from the edges going all the way round. Don't forget to paint the outside of the spare wheel well after in case the paint is cracked. Thanks. AG Falco

This is incorrect. Was it fitted through one of the wheel bolt holes? The spare wheel spindle goes through the centre bore hole of the wheel. There is a raised dome on the boot floor, with the thread for the spindle, that centres the spare wheel when you put it in the boot. Then the tool kit fits in the centre of the upside down wheel. The size of your tyre is correct and I presume is the exactly the same as the rest on the car. Does the ( new / old ) spare wheel fit in the boot? Do you have a photo if the spare wheel and spare wheel hole? I have a larger tyre on a full size alloy wheel that fits in the hole. Has the spare wheel hole been hit / dented from the outside making the hole too small? Thanks. AG Falco

Headlamp bulbs tend to blow when they are turned on. If you have loose / poor wire connectors this can lead to the bulbs momentarily going off then. If you have loose / poor fitment of the bulb to the headlamp unit then bulbs tend not to last as long due to vibrations. See here from about 8.00 minutes in:- Glad you sorted it. Thanks. AG Falco

Sorry, let me give more details. For the cars with 2 x H4 bulbs with 3 connectors , they are held in to the headlamp unit with a spring clip pushing on to the back of the metal collar part of the bulb. For the cars with 4 x H7 bulbs with 2 connectors, are held in to the headlamp unit by a twist clip which the bulb is fitted to first. So the tyre of bulb you have determines what way the bulb is held in/on to the headlamp unit. HTH Thanks. AG Falco

This only turns off the Interior monitor and towing protection part. If the driver's door of a vehicle with a remote control is unlocked and opened by the lock cylinder, then the alarm is triggered. The alarm system is also deactivated if you unlock the driver door using the key within 45 seconds of locking the vehicle. But this will leave the car unlocked! What about pulling a fuse from the fuse box in the car :- number 17 is listed as 'Alarm system, horn. ' You might not have a working horn though. Thanks. AG Falco

I check the alignment on all my cars a least once a year. They normally need adjusting. Don't assume that because it was done on you car 2.5 years ago it is still good now. What tyre pressures do you run? Was the alignment corrected after the spring was fitted? Thanks. AG Falco

For the H4 bulbs use a big flat headed screwdriver between the bulb and the connector. Lever one connection at a time just a little bit at a time and slowly / gently work it off. H7 type bulbs with two connectors. H4 type bulb with three connectors. Thanks. AG Falco

CR2025 come with the car. This battery is 20mm in diameter and 2.5 mm thick. Hence 2025. CR2032 battery is 20mm in diameter but 3.2 mm thick. Hence 2032. So this one is 0.7 mm thicker. Know brands like Panasonic, Sony, Varta, Duracell, not the 10 for a £1 unknown brand. Thanks. AG Falco
