  1. https://shop.wingsskoda.co.uk/products/skoda-front-bumper-spoiler-citigo Front bumper spoiler code. Rear roof spoiler code. note below For safety reasons, the front bumper spoiler can only be fitted in conjunction with the roof spoiler / 1ST 071 640B. See above link for details Thanks. AG Falco
  2. What size tyre/wheel do you have on the car and what size tyre/wheel is the spare. I have a full size alloy spare wheel and tyre which is exactly the same as the rest on the car that fits perfectly. The spindle that holds the spare wheel down goes through the centre bore hole of the wheel. see quote below. ''Fitted 5 new All Season tyres on Monday, one to an ebay bought spare alloy wheel that is the same at the ones on the car. This fits straight in the boot with the tool kit fitting inside it just like the normal steel spare did. This was the first time that any of the wheels had been removed from the car including the spare.'' Thanks. AG Falco
  3. So you have a ( some ) puncture ( s ) then. Probably rim seal type puncture ( s ). Thanks. AG Falco
  4. No. Only if you fit a new unit to the car, does the new unit need coding to the car. Thanks. AG Falco
  5. Have you checked? ( I can ) The four manufactures ( VW, Audi, Skoda & Seat ) ERWIN service web sites all have a very similar layout. ( the same program underneath? ) They seem to have the same options but just in a different place and with a different name at the top. So long as the User Name and Password work on every website then they would have no problem in updating the service record. It can't be backdated by long but they could always use the date the service was done as a order number. Thanks. AG Falco
  6. The previous owner didn't even remove their paired mobile phone off the sound system. This also had their first name tagged on it. Thanks. AG Falco
  7. How did it get in there? Do you have a photo? Something like this any use:- https://www.amazon.co.uk/BlueSpot-Piece-Hook-Pick-07955/dp/B0874S7MVC/ref=asc_df_B0874S7MVC/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=499292497816&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=1863631450314187861&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9045682&hvtargid=pla-1188815703298&psc=1 Thanks. 8. Can the plastic item not be broken / cut in to smaller pieces and then removed? Thanks. AG Falco
  9. Yes I did buy from a dealer. They didn't do a service. ( But the service interval has been reset, see below. ) Found this using OBDeleven:- ' SIE: distance driven from inspection - 2500 KM ' Presume this is rounded to the nearest 500 Km? ' SIE: time from inspection - 55 d ' ( Days ) 55 Days ago was 3 Nov. I don't know when the dealer first got the car on a trade in. I first found the car on the dealers website on 5 Nov when it was advertised as having 31718 miles. I went to view / drive the car on 7 Nov when the mileage was 31718 before the test drive of 9.4 miles. I was the first customer to view / test drive the car. I collected the car on 14 Nov and went 3 miles to the fuel station and filled up at 31732 Mileage today minus 1553 miles ( 2500 Km ) is 31731. I presume that the 2500 Km is rounded to the nearest 500 Km? The Dealer printed out a full service history from the Skoda Erwin website after I bought the car. This does not show a service done on 3 Nov 21. See first post. So previous owner or dealer is the question? Thanks. AG Falco
  10. No show. No Maxidot display on my Citigo, but I can see it on my Fabia III. Just don't know why the Inspection warning is not showing as it is over 12 months since the last service. Am beginning to wonder if it has been ( accidently ) reset. How do I view this? Thanks. AG Falco
  11. Is there a way to find out when the CAR thinks it needs a service and/or inspection. I don't have the inspection warning coming up yet. But last service ( on ERWIN ) is showing at 28134 miles on 30 - 10 - 2020. The car is now at 33243 so is under mileage but longer than 12 months ago from last service. I would have expected it to show by now. Thanks. AG Falco
  12. Inspect it yourself, Instructions and photos in this post on the second page:- Thanks. AG Falco
  13. Run your fingers along the inside edge of the tyres toward the front of the car first then towards the rear of the car. Is the leading edge of each tread block higher than the trailing edge? feathering or sawtooth pattern? Thanks. AG Falco
  14. Did you put the winters back in the same place as they were removed from back in the spring? Is there any sawtooth to the inside edge of the tyres? Wheel bearing is next thing to check. Thanks. AG Falco
  15. Tyres would be my guess, especially the rears. If they are NOT directional tyres try swapping them from side to side. Thanks. AG Falco
  16. Has it ever gone below the minimum mark? Thanks, AG Falco
  17. The second pump is electrical so it can, when required:- Cool the Exhaust Gas Turbocharger after you have turned the engine off. To stop the oil/turbo bearings getting to hot. Cool the inlet air to increase the density. This method replaces the air to air intercooler method that my Panda has. The Fabia III still has three radiators at the front of the engine bay for engine coolant, AC and the liquid intercooler for the intake air. Thanks, AG Falco
  18. He has also posted on the Money saving expert forum:- https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6321035/skoda-kodiaq-2018-brake-lines-issue Same advise there. Fit new cap. Change brake fluid. Do new MOT but not at Halfords. When looking for a place to do the new MOT, see below. Note that Halfords has just bought National Tyres. https://www.business-live.co.uk/retail-consumer/halfords-agrees-acquire-national-tyres-22339257 Thanks, AG Falco
  19. From a VW document ' Self-Study Programme 511 The New EA211 Petrol Engine Family' Note this is for the TSI engines not the MPI engines. ''Thermostat housing with integrated coolant pump The thermostat housing is installed on the cylinder head on the gearbox side. The coolant pump has been integrated into the thermostat housing to produce the most compact cooling system design possible. The coolant pump is driven by the exhaust camshaft using a toothed belt. Thermostat 1 Thermostat 2 Thermostat 1 for cylinder head It opens at a temperature of 87 °C or above, and opens the path from the radiator to the coolant pump. It opens at a coolant temperature of 80 °C or above in the MPI engines. Thermostat 2 for cylinder block It opens at a temperature of 105 °C or above, and opens the path for the warm coolant from the cylinder block to the radiator. The entire coolant circuit is open.'' There is also a second electrical pump ( V188 ) at the front of the engine. ''Charge air cooling pump V188 The charge air cooling system is a self-contained cooling system in which the turbocharger is also integrated. The charge air cooling pump is a circulation pump which is activated according to requirements. It draws the coolant from the auxiliary radiator for charge air and conveys it to the charge air cooler in the intake manifold and to the exhaust gas turbocharger. From there it flows back to the charge air cooler at the front end.'' Both pumps use the same coolant and expansion tank in a dual-circuit system. Thanks, AG Falco
  20. Dont forget that your car has TWO water pumps. My Quote:- ''It's a Petrol TSI engine. Please note there are TWO water pumps on this engine. Which one is leaking? The mechanical one is on the opposite side from the timing belt so is not touched when the timing belt is changed. It is integrated in with the thermostat housing and is on the gearbox side of the engine. The other is electrically driven and is at the front of the engine.'' Your Quote:- ''I asked the mechanic at the independent which pump he saw leaking and it wasnt the mechanical pump. it was the electrically driven one.'' Thanks, AG Falco
  21. A lot of modern alloy wheels are wider than the tyre so any close encounter with a kerb will hit the alloy first. They are also more likely to have many spokes and / or sharp edges. ( Fussy Styling. ) Thanks. AG Falco
  22. A brake fluid tester can check the boiling point of the fluid which will give you a clue as to its quality. A good garage will have one. They might check it for free. Thanks, AG Falco
  23. Has the brake / clutch fluid ever been checked / changed? Thanks, AG Falco
