  1. Unfortunately, it is likely that the mounting brackets for the radar sensor have been broken, can be confirmed by gently pushing against the front of the sensor. If this is the case, it will require replacement of the brackets and recalibration of the radar. AFAIK, front assist not being available will also affect cruise control.
  2. In all the EV tanks I've seen, the probe section is an integral part of the tank - the wiring connector plugs into the receptacle on the tank.
  3. That looks rather like a small Lola 👍 What provides the horses?
  4. Something in my memory that VAG changed the oil spec around 2019 - 2020. It was purely for a very slight improvement in emissions.
  5. From your tag, do I correctly guess that you run a hillclimber?
  6. I'd take odds on a Stealer not being able to give a sensible answer on towing tyre pressures. The pressures on the vehicles tyre data plate will be perfectly safe - but if you are still seeking reassurance, try asking on one of the caravanning forums. One problem with modern, low profile tyres, is that the sidewalls don't give a clear visual picture that the pressure is correct for the load.
  7. Is the racecar trailer single or twin axle? It could very easily be, your 60kg toolbox in the trunk and, likely, up to 50kg nose weight - out past the rear bumper, will really load up the rears.
  8. Assuming that you have the tyre pressure label inside the fuel flap, I'd suggest the fully-loaded pressures displayed, particularly for the rears, for your tyre size as a starting point.
  9. IIRC, it is simply a caution that the deadlocks (safelock) will operate if you lock the vehicle - the caution being flagged if any passengers are going to remain in the vehicle, in which case deadlocks should be disabled.
  10. I checked the Opie Oil website, according to them the oil you have (5W-30 VW504/507) is correct.
  11. Good evening Jimmy, welcome to the forum. You can use either of the two grades for your engine - the 0-30 grade is purely an attempt by VAG to get a very slightly lower emissions rating for the vehicle. I need to check though on the VW504/507 certification - I thought it was /508 for the TDI. As Arnie said - I'll be back.
  12. Probably unnecessary to replace the hydraulic valve lifters, as @Paws4Thot suggests, the noisy lifters may purely be due to neglected oil servicing. They will possibly be fine once the oil is changed.
  13. The RH probe looks contaminated or damaged - try gently running a screwdriver down the flutes to see which. That is very likely to be the cause of your intermittent issue. If cleaning the probes does not work, it is a very easy DIY job to replace the EV tank. The probe connector looks OK to me.
  14. I guess that Elon will be on to Wrigleys for an improved grade of gum to stick his Cybertrucks together.
  15. That would suggest that the reader you are using is not completely compatible with your vehicle. The EPC light is on and something is apparently triggering the engine into limp mode, there will definitely be a DTC logged on the ECU.
  16. Unless there is an LSD fitted, which appears to be unlikely on a Yeti, all drive will go to the unloaded driveshaft. To test the differential, you will need to apply an equal load to both front driveshafts when you turn the input shaft.
  17. I'm inclined to doubt their mechanical aptitude if their drafting skills are any example!
  18. Apart from the towbar not retracting, were the warnings being activated before it went in for repair? If not, they broke the connection socket in their attempt to fix it - and they would be responsible for repair to connector.
  19. Take a look at the NZTA portal, sect. 11-2, paragraph 2. Unless the vehicle has had (and passed) an emissions test since having the DPF removed, it seems that it will fail a WOF test.
  20. I see that your charge regulator has a voltage adjustment button, does this allow adjustment of the output voltage? If so, I'd suggest that you need to adjust the regulator output to at least 12.5 - 13.0 volts to allow battery charging.
  21. Good morning Liam, tena koutou, welcome to the forum. It will really depend on NZ WOF requirements, the DPF serves to remove diesel particulates from the exhaust, but can result in issues with regenerations if the vehicle regularly does short runs. After a number of failed regens, the DPF can eventually become blocked, requiring expensive replacement - in the UK, DPF removal (if detected) would be a failure when the vehicle was in for its annual MOT test.
  22. Hello, welcome to the forum. Quite possible that the voltage output from the PV regulator ('conditioner') is shut down when not connected to a load - in this case, your battery. 12.2 volts is likely to be insufficient to charge your battery anyway - what voltage are you seeing at the battery terminals while it is disconnected?
  23. Hi Rob, what is the location of those shots?
  24. Great news -that'll be 'fill UNleaded' of course.
  25. Your Kenwood infotainment system would be a retrofit instead of being original factory fit. You will need to research a Kenwood site.
