I may be wrong. But if you take a look at each spring, transport blocks are big enough, so that they can’t be missed. No real need to go to a dealer to check if they’re still ON. 😉

@KeteCantek Thanks. I would love to do the same one day. I don’t know whether I´ve seen too many videos of crashes at the Nurburgring or if it’s real life. I would fear discovering a crashed car at the exit of a blind corner and being unable to avoid it… As you say, first victory is to exit the ring without damage on the car. 😉

In fact, there is a slope where I did It. The ramps compsate this slope. Thus no worry about correct oil level.

@cnc Sorry about TSI204, I´ve read too fast… Regarding the TSI220 on MK3, it has never been sold in France. Indeed, it’s a market thing. Considering the TSI280, the french government has killed it on French market since 2018, because of CO2 emissions taxes. For such an engine, you have to pay an extra ~€15k for this single taxe. This would mean almost €80k for a Mk3 Estate in L&K or Sportline version with some options! Crazy! So simple, that TSI280 isn’t available anymore on Škoda french configurator. 🙄 Recently another taxe against weight has appeared for all cars over 1800kg. Fortunately, it only concerns ~2% of the market. Taxe, taxe, taxe, taxe, taxe… Owning and driving a car is becoming something luxuous…

Other common issues : - DCC front shock absorbers leaking (issue on several VAG models) - Coolant pump stuck, leading to engine overheat on TDI190 and probably on TDI150 too.

The TSI 204 will be a plug-in hybrid. Most probaby TSI150 (1.5l) + 54HP from electric motor. It doesn’t come from the 2.0 TSI190.

Even the ´big’ TDI engine has its max power reduced. No TDI200 anymore, ´only’ TDI193… not a big différence, but mentally a dowgrading. Exactly as when TSI280 was replaced by TSI272.

Do you mean: - There won’t be any new Passat Hatchback? Probably ´replaced’ by Arteon? - The next Passat Estate and Superb 4 Estate have the same chassis and wille therefore offer somehow the same inner space?

I hope it will look better. I´m not keen on this « edge design » for the moment. It gives me the impression of a jump back in the beginning of the 80s. Citroen BX or GSA… or Renault Super5… 😱 I cross my fingers (and toes if it helps) we have something better…

Maybe she only made a mess with the max height setting and/or antipinch function. Did you try to reset the max height setting? The way to do it should be described in the user’s manual.

I had PS2 on a former Audi A3 Mk2, they were brilliant. I replaced them by PS3, but they were worse than PS2, since they didn’t inherit the PS2 whole structure and rubber. Veru disapointed with PS3. Fortunately PS4 are better again. This is why I´m asking.

It could also come from the ´start engine´ which sometimes have contact issue. But it would be quite surprising that this second issue comes at the same time with your battery issue… 🤔

Surprisingly, the official storyboard video states a max power of 195kw (265HP) on Superb 4. I don’t know what it really means…🤔 - Is it the total power of the iV version whereas the current TSI280 has no equivalent yet on the Mk4 ? - There won’t be a « big » engine anymore? Too detrimental for the VW Passat or even VW Arteon or Audi A6? Future will tell.

Increasing braking performance can mean a lot indeed!

Maybe I´m too « old school » but I don’t feel comfortable with the idea of improving engine power and torque without increasing braking performance. If you do guys, that’s fine.

I was talking with the Sales Director from my local dealer few weeks ago, he said the Mk4 should be officially revealed by octobre or Novembre this year in France. I assume it should be the same date all other the world.

Technically, both Mk2 and Mk3 use the same spare wheel size: 205/55/16, though standard diameter on Mk3 is a bit wider. Thus, it should fit (I just have a doubt if width and ET values are the same), but you’ll be limited to 50mph if you have to use it. You can then keep the rim of your spare wheel but replace its tyre to have the same diameter as your other wheels. @MartiniB has done it. He can tell you the right size for that. I think you can’t exceed 215mm for tyre width otherwise it will lift up the boot carpet.

@Fr13ndlyGhost I like the Superb3 TSI280 (even more a staged one) being a sleeper. 😉 May I suggest the next mod being bigger brakes to have a consistent car ?... 🤔 😉 Porsche has often communicated on 0-100 km/h time values but also on time required to make 100-0 km/h.😜

Otherwise, small satisfaction of last week-end: nice detailing of the cabin of Moby **** (that's the little nick name of my car, since it looks like the big whit whale 😁). Quite happy to see my Superb sooo clean! BTW, it gave me the opportunity to compare "Sprayabale Leather conditioner and cleaner" from Chemical guys (which I used on my wife's Q3 a week before) and "Gold Class" from Meguiars' which I used for my Superb. Finally, I think I prefer Meguiars' regarding the final aspect, since it almost doesn't modify the appearance. Leathers remain quite mat, as if they were coming straight from the assembly line. Considering now the nourishing and protection effects, errr... I would be very annoyed to try telling which is the more efficient. Some pics of the cleaning : After cleaning with only soapy water : A nice mat aspect, close to its appearance when coming out from assembly line the steering wheel is a bit too shiny though. I had a better result on my wife's Q3 a week ago... After applying Meguiars' Gold class: Moby **** still looks good though 97500km and almost 6 years on the clock.
