  1. Ah Ah might be why, when you remove your current ones if they’re standard ones you’ll see the crescent I’ll be changing my fronts at some point and going with ate ceramics, fed up with brake dust these days
  2. Do they have the half moon on them? Or at least an arrow?
  3. I don’t blame you for not wanting to spend loads, but you’d need to workout if spending up to £5.6k is better than buying another 2nd hand car, especially if nothing takes your fancy for what you can afford. The only other option is to sell it via webuyanycar, they only do an extremely short test drive and don’t mention it, bit cheeky but they only put them in an auction anyway, then it’s someone else’s issue for buying at auction where all cars are dodgy. Just don’t mention any issues! Past experience has shown me that selling via webuyanycar offer at 1 price, then if you leave it a few weeks and do another quote it’s much lower. So if you go that route, have a good think first then commit to first price and be done with it
  4. Sadly not, I put one in my Passat B5.5 and he still hated it. He’s a rescue so gawd knows what happened to him in the first 6 or so months of his life, or he’s just being silly 🤪 Where did you get that from anyway? Be good for future dogs (sounds horrible I know 😞 )
  5. We take too much, so back seats fully loaded as my dog refuses to have anything in the boot with him. He’s only a medium sized dog so 90% of the boot is empty 😂 So end up with big tent, 2 camping chairs, duvet, pillows, clothes etc all on the back seats, need to invest in a roof rack and box I think but expensive, especially as I want Thule
  6. Only thing to bare in mind is rotation oriented pads, I believe the Skoda has them so when replacing make sure you don’t mix them up
  7. In that case, oil change and brake fluid is all you need doing
  8. Hey up, it's this one https://www.premierproductsltd.co.uk/product/skoda-superb-estate-2015-2019-fully-tailored-boot-liner It took around 3 weeks as they make them, if you have an estate without variable boot like mine, don't velcro the bottom bit where the bottom of the back seats folder, you'll have no problems then after tucking bits in, makes it nice and tight. I also used some good double sided velcro on other bits on the back seats as I felt like it needed them. Everywhere else is fine with the standard velcro thats stiched there. One side of the velcro is like sticky tape, which goes onto the carpet, the other bits are sewn into the fabric. You can then remove the whole bootliner for cleaning if you want keeping the velcro attached to the car. If you get it and run into any issues let me know and i'll be able to guide you, if you can't work it out like I did. Had to get the misses involved and makes sense now options I used was 1 piece quilted, 40/60 split, bumper flap extension and anti slip on the base
  9. haha, yes, especially as he has a fan in the boot just for him too (still wish more cars had rear A/C vents for dogs etc) with the odd flying hairs they're a lot easier to pick up. With the old knackered boot liner where it didnt really cover the carpet bits properly the hairs really stuck on because he rubbed into as well, boo
  10. The correct way to change them is wheel off and then remove wheel arch liner. I not long changed my xenon’s and even with the wheel archer liner off I really struggled clipping them back in with the non SLA version, where there is two metal prongs you move. It’s such a simple locking but because of the tightness I could only use my right hand and I’m left handed, so I put it down to my brain not working properly 😩 SLA version is turn bulb anti clockwise to unlock then pull out and clockwise to lock it, much easier I imagine Glad it’s all sorted, guess next up for you is to get a decent trolley jack and axle stands and do other bits yourself now
  11. A while ago I made a thread to show dirty superbs instead of all clean and this was my pictures @Steviedakota You said something like “I hate to break it to you but your liner isn’t working” and for the 2 years or so every time I opened the boot I remembered what you said and laughed every time 😂 but today I’ve just fitted this much better, although foul words were used as it was a pain to make it fit and had to use some of my own velcro as IMO it needed it on the back of the seats
  12. Boo, not that then
  13. I wonder if folk like me where it’s not changing is because we never use the radio, I don’t 😁
  14. Hmm, it is something that can be changed via vcds etc I believe but not enabled as standard, despite the buttons If you’ve had it from new and not changed that is odd indeed
  15. Oil change and DSG oil if it’s auto that is as that’s every 40k miles Somewhat official guide here, it’s old so ignore prices and cambelt change
  16. I would’ve thought either way the door card will have to come off, you’ll see the connector better and be able to disconnect
  17. Best advice don’t fit it, I’m sure people with dashcam switch off their and no longer see the bigger picture whilst driving. All the bad drivers I see all have dashcams, probably because the road is full of “idiots”
  18. Have a look here, it’s for an Octavia though but it’s not the shark fin https://www.skoda-storyboard.com/en/skoda-world/innovation-and-technology/this-is-your-car-can-you-hear-me/
  19. Must admit I don’t use it much but isn’t DAB still very much location dependent? So they’ll be patchy areas. Is it the same for more national channels like bbc radio 2 etc? Also if you have an estate I believe the DAB antenna is in the passenger side rear boot glass on the estates if you have one, might be worth giving it a good clean inside and out, worst case you’ll have clean glass 😁
  20. Doh sorry my mistake
  21. Are you not in Ireland though, and different rules apply?
  22. Yeah that looks like what Winston_wolf said. Someone has coded them like American cars, so you’ll need to get the coding changed
  23. Ah remember that when you use your headlights you’ll see condensation by the DRL’s which is perfectly “normal”, but I guess the crack let in rain water which then trickled down to parts it shouldn’t and caused the issues
  24. Have you resolved the issue with the crack? It might be small but could just be enough to have caused the issue, clear epoxy might do the job but only guessing
  25. That has always annoyed me too, take AGES to ring, do they not know people get anxious 😬 I’m always checking the website to see if it’s passed, I must admit I took my car to a different garage this year. I walked back which was around 30 minutes, had a cuppa tea and had a call to say it was all done. I was asked if I wanted a print out for MOT as the government is trying to get it paperless, wonder if that speeds things up
