Adding USB ports in armrest?
Sorry @Binx1310 it was you who said to get those my bad, thank you very much for recommending it. I found my phone just a bit too big for the front and a pain but armrest is perfect for me I was contemplating having a wireless charger power bank in the arm rest then some plastic covering the edges so the phone didn’t move, but the usb cable sooo much better

Adding USB ports in armrest?
Fitted this today with what @tombee bought I gave up trying to route the cable with just the ashtray out so I removed the inner “cage” then easy peasy, but that wasn’t exactly easy to remove the inner cage but bit of persuasion and jobs a goodun

Leaking boot skoda superb Mk3 estate
Yeah bumper off and seal from both sides should do a great job, just be extra careful of parking sensor cables Dare I say 3 person job?

Have you sniffed the water? Could be rear washer but shouldn’t be loads if it’s that tbh. Another test is strip bits off inside, get someone outside to spray water and look for leaks inside. Although removing headliner would be a pain, see if you can lower it a bit to see if water is coming in from the aerial

Adding USB ports in armrest?
Excellent thank you, I assume a 1m cable like you linked will do?

Adding USB ports in armrest?
Ohh that sounds promising, I have a habit of breaking things so removing as little as possible is best for me. Did you buy the 2m usb c cable? Also how do you remove the ashtray? Think I’ll be following your way as looks best for me

Adding USB ports in armrest?
Do you only need to remove the ashtray or the vents as well?

Are you getting this on motorway or anywhere? I usually find the left hand lane on motorway you can get tramlinimg with all the lorry’s sinking in a bit

Interior self-dimming mirror works, but doesn't get dark enough?
Can’t help with why it’s different but the fact you said it upsets your eyes makes me think you should get an eye checkup, just to be sure Then I’d also recommend night glasses, they’ll be yellow and can help loads, yes you’ll look like John Goodman from Big Lebowski but who cares. I’ve read reports of people moaning about LED headlights, yes they are bright but for anyone who has issues, eye checkup and night glasses and you’ll be good

Engine / Ignition Switch-Off Irritations
Have I read this correctly, you switch off the car get out and lock it and the radio stays on?

Silikat bag in coolant resorvoir (diesel engines)
Go back to them, what you should have done ideally is had them replace the header tank with a new one at the same time as water pump as the system would be near empty anyway

alarm went off when jacking up car
it’s not just a case of unlocking the car, you also need to open a door then close If you don’t do that the car will auto lock again

Replacement discs and pads
ATE ceramic pads for sure and coated ATE discs That’s what I’m getting soon anyway for my fronts

Led/xenon bulbs
Any particular reason? Tbh your xenon’s look good, still think mine are too low despite being checked hmm
-
Led/xenon bulbs
I saw that, didn’t realise it was yours. It’s quite difficult to judge but are the LEDS better? Only problem with AN is it clearly states off-road only so harder to act dumb if bad things happen

DPF cleaner and Fuel Consumption Issues
I’d always avoid additives as not needed here usually, but saying that your car has done crazy miles BTW diesels do lower MPG in winter, so keep that in mind too

Led/xenon bulbs
Oh I’m intrigued, how much better do they perform compared to the Xenon’s? Looking at the spec of these they are 4500lm, whereas Osram NBL is 3200lm so on paper it’s better already

Led/xenon bulbs
The chances are low, especially in our cars where you can’t get to the back of the lights easily, but MOT testers are not allowed to remove anything during testing. There are notes about if it’s xenon they’ll be a warming up period, whereas LED is instant so they could tell the difference straight away If you were in an accident and other person said “I was dazzled” or something and it was a serious accident then they’d check but in all honesty it would only be a fatal accident they’d check everything. Also as they’re not E marked and that is legislation you are breaking the law and obviously insurance is technically invalid Osram in other European countries have a direct Halogen to LED replacement which is road legal but UK is slow to get with times

Led/xenon bulbs
Im not sure where you are if you have restrictions on what bulbs you can use, there’s no E marked LED DS3 so illegal to use on cars in UK, will pass MOT though. If you don’t care about that then I’d give these a go https://autobeam.co.uk/collections/led-full-beam/products/led-d3s-dipped-beam-unit

Moving from 19" to 17" wheels - Coding?
I’m sure I’ve seen settings in vcds Tbh I’d much rather the car speedo to over read in case any mobile speed cameras are out fishing Ross-Tech ForumsError trying to set tire circumference on 2018 VW GTI DSG.Hello, I have been trying to adjust my tire circumference via 17-Instrumentation/Coding/Long Coding/ Byte 3/ but the setting will not take from "varient 3".
