My i7-2600k isn't supported either. It'll be a miracle if my computer is about by 2025*! *not saying that they don't build 'em like they used to, but my 1995 Toshiba Satellite T2130CT laptop (among other Toshiba laptops I have accumulated of a similar vintage) is working very well to this day.

AnnoyingPentium's 2006 Fabia 1.2 12v Ambiente-ish
A mildly blurry* photo admittedly, but here we have my wee Fab. Managed to get the front offside tyre sorted after it had went flat, I think, since there wasn't any sign of a hole or air leak. It seems better than it was anyway. Just waiting for my Brisky sticker to arrive. *Think I got WD40 on the back of my phone by accident when doing a job.

What OEM Skoda headunit/Touchscreen
Would it maybe be easier to get one with Sat Nav too and just not use the Satellite Navigation function. It may keep your options more open. You should also factor in budget too. Do you want something of a known brand but willing to pay the premium that comes with that, or do you want something budget friendly but of possibly questionable quality? Irrelevant since I just re-read the title.

Problematic Throttle - 1.2 12v BME
Oops, I did indeed. It's been a long day.

Problematic Throttle - 1.2 12v BME
Just an update to this since I don't want to leave it on a cliff-hanger for those perhaps suffering the same issue. The issue lies with the accelerator pedal position sensor as when the pedal is pulled backwards the revs drop as they're meant to. Issue will be fixed through the week.

AnnoyingPentium's 2006 Fabia 1.2 12v Ambiente-ish
I replaced the main and dipped with Philips X-TremeVision 12972XV+ H7s and just a bog standard set of Osram H3s. Headlights are whiter compared to the original yellowish tinge of the OEM (presumably) bulbs and visibility is better. Didn't get flashed by passing motorists so they're clearly not burning a hole through people like modern lights. Picked up a mate earlier and even he thought the lights were miles better.

AnnoyingPentium's 2006 Fabia 1.2 12v Ambiente-ish
So as I have mentioned, my throttle was being an absolute pain (holding revs) which suggested it needed cleaned. After my Grampa and I performed emergency "throttlectomy" in the pouring rain and gave it a clean. No difference sadly. So now, I have diagnosed the issue as the accelerator pedal sensor being dicky. It will be repaired soon, but the car is functional and safe enough so I can't complain all too much. The headlight bulbs have also been replaced and I can see now - plus, I've got a slow puncture so on the spare, but future me will sort that one out!

AnnoyingPentium's 2006 Fabia 1.2 12v Ambiente-ish
You all have probably seen these photographs before but I thought I'd share a small before and after set of the car! The first photographs were taken back in March/April of this year when I joined the forums (and bought the car) and before I got to reading the cool things you lot had done to your cars. When I joined here I had intended to keep my car standard but I couldn't help but tinker with it to make it that wee bit cooler. I guess that must run in the family because my late father was the same with his cars! I have no idea what the future holds for my wee red nugget but we'll have to wait and see, I suppose.

Revs not getting past 4000
I haven't had that problem with my 1.2 (on similar mileage @ 55k) but I reckon you could try that. Someone with more experience may be able to help though.

New (old) wheels
I like that one!

New (old) wheels
It's the ones with those HIDs/LEDs retrofits that are so bright that you can see your own future that bug me.

Revs not getting past 4000
Holy thread revival! All jokes aside, do you have any warning lights and access to a code reader? IIRC anything that the car has saved from previous faults should show up.

New (old) wheels
Thanks for that, I didn't know the Mk1 Fab has smaller arches compared to the newer ones.

Skoda production to almost halt for the rest of 2021 due to chip shortages
My Fabia has went up £230 from the price which I paid in March, not bad considering I paid £1,500

New (old) wheels
As Sep says, gaps are fine since it's just the same diameter. Car rides much like it did on 14" steels IMO, I had really crap tyres with the 14s then as they came with the car.

New (old) wheels
It is a nice car. Sadly not mine. I'm looking at a Fantasy Green one for my next car since I'm quite partial to the Fabia.

New (old) wheels
I've got 15" Bohemia/Sport alloys on my Fabia with 195/50/R15 tyres as was specified by the manufacturer. Handles a bit better than the 14s that were living on it before.
