  1. Welcome back!
  2. And the back speakers are in! Replaced both of those whilst hanging upside down half out of the boot with the rear seats folded down and the boot carpet just about ripped out. Used every tool and swear word known to man, but they're in. If I get another one of these motors then I'll get someone else to do it. I had absolutely no motivation to be pulling door cards off today so the front speakers aren't going in until next weekend. I'll pick up the clips for the door cards from Ingram Skoda in Ayr through the week if I have the time. Stay tuned.
  3. Merely a username I gave myself on computer building forums. It's a Core i7-10750H so I should be fine.
  4. Thanks, DM! I'll be sure to keep that in mind.
  5. Considering this laptop cost me nearly £1,300 in January, I'd like to f****** hope so!
  6. Photo does this absolutely no justice since I couldn't get in the frame plus I'm using my decrepit phone... The building in question is the Old Irvine Parish Church, just outside of the Rivergate Shopping Centre, Irvine. A lot of work has been put into this building over the years and it is truly stunning!
  7. Welcome to the forums!
  8. In my totally unbiased opinion, a good set (that you could restore) of 15" Bohemia alloys would smarten up your Mk1 if you're using the VRS 16s on your Mk2.
  9. Welcome to the forums!
  10. I'll give them a shot, and if it goes terribly then I'll give some breakers a ring.
  11. The wheels look awesome. Want to do mine?
  12. That's the attitude I typically take with ordering most parts for this car.
  13. Thanks Rich! I only have the standard pedal set without the covers since it's not a vRS. These just slip over, right?
  14. Howdy all. Once again, I am looking for advice when it comes to my Fabia. Do you people know if these metal pedal covers would fit? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/144230528527 I thought, based on shape and rough size alone (and the description) that they'd fit, but I'd like to make sure. Thanks in advance. Ryan B.
  15. Getting excited to fit these! I had ordered these after I had my rave driving playlist and 'Obsession' by Ultra-Sonic (check it out, if that appeals to you) came on and knackered the front driver's side speaker, which was due dying anyway. Just waiting on spacers now.
  16. Love that. No-one in my family had ever bought Skoda, we bought whatever we got a good deal on... Dacias, Vauxhall Vectras, Fiat Unos/Puntos, and so on. We had a neighbour with a gorgeous Mk1 Fabia vRS years ago and I had wanted one as my first car since.
  17. I was in the same boat. I had the choice between my red one in Hamilton (52k miles, £1,495), or a beige one with similar spec (beige interior however) in Lanark for £1,595. Go figure, I guess.
  18. I've got computers of varying ages for old software. I inherited my late father's 2005 iQon desktop which runs Windows XP and is one of my favourites for sentimental reasons, a 1998 Fujitsu beige box for DOS/Windows 98 stuff, my Great Grandmother's 1995 Toshiba T2130CT too for W3.1 and 95. Probably.
  19. I reckon tech1e will be able to help you here, being a former Skoda tech and that.
  20. Why thank you. I must say that your Fab is looking swell - I have quite a soft spot for that orange colour.
  21. I'm on my fourth mobo for this system now. The first and third both met a horrible death when I had two PSUs go. The second got repurposed and is going up for sale soon, and the fourth lives in the computer currently. Hoping it lasts this time
  22. Welcome to the forums! Apologies in advance for the shameless self-plug... I know you've got a Mk2 but if you need some inspiration for things to do to your car then have a nosey at my project thread, if that takes your fancy.
  23. Well, well, well... Fools and their money and all that... This is part one of many in the Fabia renovations, speakers for the rear. Stay tuned for fitting and the arrival of other thingies...
