  1. Whats the vehicle registration and ill let you know which one is required. There are 3 different spec lights: low, high and LED.
  2. I don’t have a wiring diagram to hand currently but I assume the B108 and B109 connections also go to BCM B plug pin 18 and 19. I can confirm this tomorrow. The canbus extended network goes between a lot of components and that black dot half way up the wires in your diagram show a branch point to other parts of the car.
  3. Yeah, the octavia mk4 is the same setup as the mk4 superb will be according to ETKA. Looks somewhat like this and both uses 5WA713033BB and 3WA713033BB parts. The worst part is, to replace it you have to remove the exhaust and go from under the car!!!!

Just to be a bit pedantic, Saying its got every optional extra when from the photos alone it doesnt have park assist, panoramic sunroof and reverse camera. There is a template linked below that should be followed, this means all the essential info is in the post in a very nice format. And just a tip, no one is expecting you to list every option, but instead of saying every extra, just list the key ones that will help with the sale; heated seats, windscreen, electric seats, lane assist, cruise control and such for example.
  5. The new shift by wire setup is terrible! The actual selector unit itself fails constantly, ive done over 10 in the last few months! The internal motors are failing and binding up.
  6. As much as VW don’t make their own oil, there is still differences in qualities of oil. Im not saying one is better than the other but main dealers will use Quantum and that is personally what I use. Others may use Castrol or Shell as they are big ‘trusted’ brands. lots of videos on YouTube of people testing the quality of comparable oils and seeing a huge range of results
  7. 2 things, from a legal point of view - if you’re driving a car knowing it isn’t roadworthy (that includes emissions) you are committing an offence that can invalidate your insurance and get your car taken. That’s my take on it at least but it is a grey area. second is black smoke which is hydrocarbons leaving the exhaust through 2 things - not enough air or too much fuel. has a leak test been done on injectors? have the injectors been tested? fuel quality checked? fuel pressure both low and high? has the intake system been checked for leaks? boost pressure actual vs requested? turbo actuator moving freely? vacuum leaks on the turbo actuator and other solenoids? any fault codes?
  8. They are splined though. and what the OP is saying is completely normal - when the car is off it sits in the park position. When the wipers are in auto or in other uses they will sit about an inch above this point. Nothing to do with how the windscreen company fitted it as this is exactly how it should be
  9. Yikes! First thing - stay well clear of anything halfords sell or offer to fit. Next, your car will have the MIB3 radio so its a bit more awkward and skoda dont offer an offical retrofit for the FL superb yet!
  10. What was tested to confirm a good battery? and what was the readings? Has the car been checked for a drain?
  11. What a load of rubbish, below are the terms requiring ADAS calibration whether thats radar, camera, areaview, blind spot detection. None of which cover a small dent to a panel.
  12. They didnt when i had the Auxito ones, no flickering issues at all
  13. The EML won’t come on for this. The downside is warm up times will be slightly increased and fuel consumption will very very slightly increase as the car is a tiny bit less efficient. That is the only difference and won’t always be noticeable by the driver. positives are no shroud to possibly seize on.
  14. I don’t see any rude responses at all? We’ve asked for the list of fault codes to guide you as you haven’t provided one we can only guess what may be wrong? You’ve replied to the thread a few times but still haven’t sent a list so we are none the wiser. And if two garages and the symptoms point towards a gearbox fault, then simply the fact that it’s expensive and you don’t want a bill of £3-4000 doesn’t mean they aren’t right. I wouldn’t say anyone is being obnoxious or rude, the first rule is you can’t help someone that doesn’t want to help themselves, and if you won’t post the exact fault codes you have, then we have absolutely 0 chance of being able to assist you.
  15. 09 for bcm 6d for electric tailgste although a faulty boot switch won’t give a fault - it will just think you aren’t pressing it.
  16. I mean, do you have a list of the fault codes? I don’t think your issue is with the dealer, if an independent can’t fault find with the fault codes as a starting point they either don’t have the equipment or the knowledge. Without knowing the fault codes we would only be guessing. Have the faults been cleared and rechecked after a drive cycle to see what is current? And as much as no one wants to fork out £4000, if the dealer has diagnosed a faulty gearbox then find out exactly what is wrong and the evidence they have. At least that way you are somewhat covered.
  17. Do you want to know what oil? What other parts? Part numbers? Tools? A few more words may help us all out if it’s just oil spec then the replies above cover that nicely, a long life 3 fully synthetic with spec 504.00 or 507.00 is required.
  18. You’ll have to phone up suppliers in your country including Skoda or look at possible second hand. A price in the U.K. may not reflect the Spanish prices at all
  19. The high module for your car is 5Q0937084AE which has since superseeded to 5Q0937084AJ It wont backup your original BCM, it will pull factory coding from the VW servers and make the necessary changes to make the new BCM work just fine for a factory car. Any previous changes will then manually have to be made again. The 2 current keys must both be present and recoded to the new BCM yes.
  20. There is no solution sorry. One of the many many downsides to removing the infotainment system as it controls a large portion of the vehicles electronics.
  21. The sticker that you guys talk of is only a small list of the PR codes. A full list has normally got a few hundred. If you send me your VIN i can get you the full PR code list.
  22. Do you have a VIN number and ill find you the high BCM part number. The steps are done with ODIS and you need to run the replacement module routine - this will code, adapt and remove component protection. The BCM also controls central locking so the immo routine will need to be ran to reassign the keys to the new BCM.
  23. It depends what kind of tow bar you are fitting, you need to be much more specific with the details you give us. Genuine tow bar? Aftermarket? Brand? Type? Genuine electrics? Universal electrics? Aftermarket electrics? Does your car have tow bar prep or not? Do you have access to a diagnostic tool?
  24. Depends on the year and car to decide if the MIB3 is protected with SFD. Component protection isnt applicable. MIB3 no ethernet is very similar to MIB2 but needs to be done with SVM. MIB3 with ethernet for cars such as mk4 octavia and golf mk8 is a different kettle of fish though. A mk1 kodiaq with MIB3 will have no SFD and no ethernet is it needs doing with SVM but there is no component protection
  25. Others can do VIM, for example it can be done with MIBash and VCP. Calibration can only be done with the correct calibration board, the diagnostic software isnt the problem VAS6350 is the correct calibration board. Without calibration wont necessarily cause an issue though.
