Air Con - Sour Smell
Simple and perfect answer that no one seems to grasp. Its air conditioning not air cooling. It may also cool the air but its main job is to dry/filter/cool the air. It doesnt have to have an effect on temperature in the cabin but it will always effect air pollution and humidity levels in the cabin. Leave it on all year round, forget about it.

Are Skoda advertised servicing prices inclusive of VAT and why are some approved dealerships trying to charge more?
Main dealers currently charge this for timing belt and water pump replacement on the 1.6 and 2.0 TDI engines - prices vary but this is Skoda's 'fixed' price. Cambelt Replacement £571.44 Cambelt Replacement with Water Pump £874.97 I charge £400 for a timing belt replacement with new coolant and a water pump.

The side panels and rear most panel are completely different so you would have to change a fair bit to get it to fit.

Heater blower fan / motor
Fairly straight forward. remove the glovebox with 6 torx screws, then underneath you’ll see the motor, a few tiny screws hold it in, then it just twists to unlock and fall out. chances are wd40 won’t do anything as it won’t be seizing, probably more like the brushes failing or the module inside

You got a photo of what you mean? if you mean to show it’s open, it’s always been red, that’s always the case

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Or just go outside and wave your polisher around like you’re about to start. normally at that point a neighbour will swing by and say ‘don’t forget mine next’, ask them to bring it round, that’s a car to practice on and a box of chocolates on your doorstep at Christmas.

Are creaking anti roll bar bushes replaceable? Big job?

Are creaking anti roll bar bushes replaceable? Big job?
Bushes are not replaceable, comes as a complete anti roll bar. To remove the anti roll bar you have to remove the complete subframe from the vehicle. Powerflex offer an aftermarket replacement where you have to cut the old ones off, still have to remove the anti roll bar from the car first.

Top motor mount
Not always a case of mislabeled or illegitimate, factory part numbers dont always match up with ETKA, the factory often will do weird and wonderful things if they are short of other parts they may fit something else that is suitable for the job or in this case put a label on a part to call it something else doesnt always mean its wrong, just that we have no idea what theyve done....

Top motor mount
5Q0 199 262 BF is intended for Kodiaq with 7spd DSG on the Petrol 1.5L engines. Superseeds to 5WA199262D 3Q0 199 262 E is intended for Kodiaq with 7spd DSG on the Diesel 2.0L engines, Superseeds to 5WA199262Q EDIT: 5Q0199262DF which is in the picture NOT BF doesnt actually exist in ETKA? Which means the factory have fitted a factory only part - which is perfectly fine. ETKA is only there for replacement parts. What they have fitted is most likely fine. And also the brown staining you are talking of is just where the rubber is bonded to the metal

Replacing KESSY exterior door handle
For certain cars yes, By having a handle that doesnt work does not stop the kessy system from working at all. There are still ways, There is also no way to disable the system entirely all the time. Skoda especially new ones are much better protected against keyless theft and as long as your key is kept in a safe place youre pretty safe. Now on to the actual handle. Its very simple to replace, on the door jam area is a small plastic black cover that is in line with the handle, remove this and loosen the T20/T25 screw inside, then pull the door handle and this will allow you to remove the small cap located towards the back of the handle. Now as you open the handle a second time pull it towards the back of the car in the now open space, the handle will pop out. You should now unplug the connector and replace in the reverse order.

Key fob battery . . .
I think more than likely when you replaced the battery the internal circuit board probably moved a bit and put extra pressure on the boot button making it extra sensitive/pressed when it shouldnt. After the second battery replacement its probably back in the right place now. That would explain the battery dieing very very quick if it is constantly transmitting a signal.

Timing Belt problem - can't remove bolt
Yeah I’d say this is an issue with the garage itself rather than the specialisation above the door.just seems like you got unlucky with a garage! (No surprise there with all the dodgy and couldn’t care less garages about)

2013 VRS - Brembo Discs/Pads - Opinions?
Brembo are rubbish. now to be more specific - Brembo hydraulic components are amazing and perfect. Brembo friction materials are not. you’ll notice that even though manufacturers fit beautiful big brembo 4,6,8 piston calipers from the factory, they are very rarely paired with brembo pads and discs. when it comes to aftermarket brembo stuff it just gets worse, they are often squeaky and noisy, generally people complain of a ‘clonk’ which relates to being loose in the carrier and a lot complain of heavy vibration after a while. There is a huge amount of data on this forum to back it up. now if you want my recommendation for decent standard pads either pagid or TRW is what I’d go for.

Timing Belt problem - can't remove bolt
All well and good on keyed pulleys. I believe these are not keyed and free wheeling so you risk a lot of damage for what should be no problem with a big breaker bar or a decent impact gun. what an odd thing to say? They are both the exact same thing. it’s just vag specialist seen as they are exactly the same. And I don’t think the name above the door dictates the level of specialist or experience. If they came from a main dealer they’d have the exact same training at both.
