  1. Went full on doing all the prep stages before applying it, first using the product and I am very happy with the results.
  2. Cheers, the end of my fingers hurt today haha. My heart did sink before doing the reset on the head unit, I thought great here we go, but like you awesome that it works. I not sure the image overly is as good as factory but for something so cheap it's all good. I had to keep going back into the car to test it out, my wife thought what a loon. Funny how you get used to things or not having them, going from a Tarraco with camera's
  3. I have recently updated my headunit, I have the mIB 2.5 version from when it was produced, 2018 to the latest version with no issues. I followed the MIB2 to MIB2.5 upgrade doc which was done by @JR RS You have correct link for the map update, I went there and did mine from 2018 to 2025/26
  4. Done mine today, arrived mid afternoon and have been able to do it, had prepped the car before the arrival of the kit. Used a bike outter cable to help route the cable, they ends were tricky to get all the way in, but I used cloth tape to help ensure they don't come back out, went down the sill route and then up into the back of the glove box. Putting the unit is a pain and also had to hard reset the stereo for it to work,
  5. I am not sure, but a new shiny bolt and nut would lend itself, but then again the other side seems to have the same type or grime/dirt etc but that bolt/nut is old It's a 2018 plate with 75k on the clock
  6. I maybe just take my car in for this, in theory I shouldn't have to pay as it's not working. Tried all sorts to reset it and it doesn't do it how the videos show or how people mention
  7. Didn't take the car to the dealership today due to the costs that might of been involved for the suspension review. Anyway, been reading again the posts about seats and the memory, I have tried loads of all the say forward, back, up and down etc with still the same result, setting with then locking and unlocking the car and the seat moves up slightly. Now what I did notice that at each end of each movement, all the way forward or back, up and down that it would require me to press the movement button again to go past that point to the true end of the allowance. So I am not sure if that has something to do with it.
  8. I have been under the car this morning, just to have a look myself. The rear shocks appear to be ZF made, so possibly Sachs based? With the near side having a new bolt and nut at the base of the assembly where it attaches to the wishbone. Part number for both are 3Q0513049FN which look up to be the correct for the rear of a 2wd. Not able to see the spring colours on the rear but the front has Blue and White rings
  9. I have cancelled the appointment for tomorrow as found out I would be charged if its out side of the extended warranty (£165) which just after Christmas is a little much. Had a good chat with them over the phone whilst cancelling and seems I will see if i can check the state of the shocks before going further with them, as they wouldn't have a car to compare against to get a true understanding of what is happening. When I mentioned about the Bilsteins then this would of course means everything is then outside of their extended warranty, as they don't have anything to compare against nor have heard of this before I think I might need to confirm the issue a little better before hand, shame really as not had the car that long which they were fully understanding with and wouldn't charge me until it was deemed that the extended warranty didn't cover or there wasn't an issue.
  10. Mine from the above has just cleared customs, should arrive tomorrow I am hoping and then can get this installed. The true Skoda retrofit is very involved with Skoda quoting £500 then fitting also looking at nearly £1000 be the time it would be done.
  11. Yeah I know as it didn't work the day before but might of needed the car going to sleep before hand.
  12. Was able to sort it in the end with the restart of the headunit
  13. Tools from Amazon didn’t seem to work but holding down the power button on the stereo seemed to work today
  14. Just has the SOS Emergency call restricted. Workshop error message now, which appeared almost straight away when doing the update
  15. Ordered one from Amazon, so hoping that can reset it
  16. Yes indeed, used the same stick for the Firmware and the maps Just got to sort this SOS error which appeared as soon as the firmware update started
  17. Have noticed now I have the SOS Emergency call restricted. Workshop Has now appeared, SOS button works as it was about to call before I manually ended it
  18. Doesn't work with my SD card doing the maps
  19. I have the G13 already, just done the firmware update via @JR RS doc and it worked, now on firmware 1440 from 1163 Everything seems to work so far
  20. Not to worry now @JR RS I used your manual and upgraded the firmware on my MIB2.5 unit, went from 1163 to 1440 so a nice jump and also the Sport function is there now. Also for anyone else I was able to do this via a USB Stick, didn't like it via the Settings - System Information and then Update, had to do it via the maintenance mode
  21. Is that for the satnav maps only or is that both?
  22. Currently doing the Maps which are from when the ca was produced - 2018. With this in mind I have the following - Hardware H54 Software 1163 Is the software as old as the car, 2018. If so what would be the update process and where can I get the files to do this.
  23. Dragging this up, was looking for firmware updates and came across your thread. How did you get the performance details on yours? I have the MIB2.5 I believe from factory but do't have this, do you need to have it in sport mode, not individual?
  24. Tried it a little while ago whilst on the school run, does the same as before. Might phone Skoda about it add it to the list for next week
  25. Surely it will stop working no matter which, as you say the hardware sets if it will work, not an software update. I don’t think Skoda are alone in not really understanding how the 2G/3G switch off effects things, there are some many others who don’t know etc. The car manufacturers didn’t really look beyond and are now having to work it out when they have known for years
