  1. Hi, I am wanting to get some clarification on this, I have been sent for my Superb estate the following camera/handle but it seems that the rear of the handle is a little longer than the one removed. The overall length of both are the same but just the rear is longer on the new one, this means it doesn't fit. Other than sanding down the opening is this the correct one? Existing is a all squared edge but been sent a 2 corners being round for a 2018 Estate. Thanks https://photos.app.goo.gl/fURn8UQzWDSfnFQx5 https://photos.app.goo.gl/oP9DugZETi46qCgv8
  2. It would appear it doesn't fit the rear of the housing is now slight longer which doesn't allow for the unit to be installed no matter how hard i try to push it in
  3. Thanks but they seem to be removing a rounded edge one for a rounded edge with camera
  4. Is your's a square edged all round and then fitted this rounded edge one?
  5. So it just fits still, had wondered if the curved part would expose where the more square would of been but I guess thats underneath the handle
  6. Ok thanks, i won't need to trim the panel?
  7. Seems I have hit my attachment limit, see the following link https://photos.app.goo.gl/Eesw7qHhkVmYob387
  8. The kit has arrived and I appear to have been sent the round edge handle, mine is a all square handle. Can this handle fit before I start the process or should I send it back?
  9. Seems they are upto 30% with the V2 Comfort being only £200 off
  10. Have opted for the OEM camera kit, got a deal online and will fit most of it myself. Not sure about the wiring as yet but will see when I get to that part. Does anyone know if you can also fit the button for rear camera?
  11. Just installed a 12v USB C and A socket replacing the 12v Cig lighter socket. Was able to reuse the connections to the car, removing the existing and then soldering the new wires from the adaptor and making good. Just tested and all works fine, had to trim a little the back of the unit where the new socket went as the lock ring catch along with trimming down the lock ring also. Also didn't destroy the old one getting it out, there are 2 tabs which you need to press in to get the inner metal socket out from the plastic surround and then you can remove the plastic surround, as this is held in by the metal socket.
  12. I am doing this currently and have been able to remove the socket cleanly, so if anyone is thinking of doing it, there are 2 tabs from the black plastic which holds the metal socket itself in place. Slide a thin flat head screwdriver and release these tabs, then it slides out. Then you can remove the black plastic surround, reason you can't remove it is due to it being held in by the metal socket and then it all comes out. Photos for helping with the words..
  13. New wheel fitted, really like it and the paddles just work
  14. Ahh thanks, always assumed they were VRs, thanks for the correction (Sportline and Sportline Plus) Thanks for the photos
  15. Is yours a VRs? What year is yours? Hoping to get the part numbers to confirm, rather go genuine if possible rather than alternative routes
  16. Does anyone know which will fit for a DSG 220PS, can you use any of the VAG steel pedal covers? Going back to when I had my Bora and fitted the R32 Steering wheel and Pedals to it, before then removing to then buy a R32 Golf only a few months later
  17. Just collected the Alcantara Steering wheel with Flat bottom and paddles from the dealership this afternoon, along with a new nut. Will fit tomorrow, was too good a price not to do it in the end. Was able to get the dull door inserts back to gloss after getting the Meguairs Compound on them, picture of half way to see what the difference was
  18. Thought I had seen the line movement on ones with and ones without the washer, my Tarraco did the lines but didn't have the washer. The Amazon based ones looked to be an easy install but not factory which is something I am not sure I could get over...
  19. Will be one from Skoda which has no washer jet for the lens but the highline version
  20. About to pull the trigger on a OEM kit but just wish to know is this better than an Amazon based one
  21. Thanks, it seems to come down to do it once and right rather than keep doing other things to then revert to what you should do at the start, but I have a steep drive hence why would only go as low as a Sportline on the SE L Executive
  22. This seems the best option with having a steep drive to the road
  23. I don’t have DCC, so I could run the Sportline springs with B6 which should give me the right lowered approach with out the car being 30mm plus lowered
  24. @logiclee thanks for the reply, I was hoping you wouldn't say that. So could you run B6/8 struts with Sportline springs?
  25. Thanks for the replies. Does the 4x4 version suffer with the same suspension issues, drove it on a long distance this week and really noticed how the car is a little bouncy with now compliance when at high speed, so really looking into doing this. As I could upgrade to the Sportline suspension to get the slightly lower look and better feel or do they suffer also?
