  1. Don't look at the grade, look whether it meets the VW oil spec in your handbook - possibly VW502 or 504 (but someone will be along to confirm).
  2. The MIB1 screens are lower resolution so if you fit a MIB2 screen with a MIB1 glovebox unit you'll get duplicate images on the screen.
  3. I'd be very surprised if an Elegance didn't have rear parking sensors, but the lack of any parking switch in the centre console does make doubt?
  4. I thought Skoda were changing their business model so the car is actually purchased from the factory, with the "dealer" having no flexibility on price - so the only way to get a new Skoda for less than list price is via a broker?
  5. 1698? Do you mean 1598?
  6. If the new battery was pretty well charged then the BMS won't need to charge at the higher voltage to charge to battery to it's target of 80% SoC.
  7. Amundsen or Columbus? - see my previous post how to tell which.
  8. More likely the 10 year old battery...
  9. But it also means that until a credible alternative is in place for those without a guaranteed home charging place a two-tier system of "have access to home charging" and "don't have access to home charging" is being created. Given the costs of public charging are currently much higher than home charging this will place yet another burden on hard stretched family finances of owning an EV, and hence will further limit the potential for EV sales and ownership. This problem must be solved, not ignored!
  10. 1) Does it have sat nav? Yes means Amundsen or Columbus, no means Swing or Bolero. 2) If it has sat nav, does an SD card have to be inserted for sat nav to work? If yes it's Amundsen, if no it's Columbus.
  11. Definitely check the battery voltage BEFORE starting up in the morning and (if possible) get a battery CCA test done.
  12. That's missing data in the maps, which are IIRC made by a company called "Here". You need to report the missing data to them and .... wait possibly several years (it took 5 years for my last report to make it into the maps!).
  13. When you select the sat nav display what does it show - a screenshot would be helpful? Was the MIB2 Amundsen a factory fit and has it ever worked?
  14. When you say update do you mean firmware or maps? ECE1 2024/2025 is the latest maps for a MIB2 - what infotainment system do you have? Swing, Bolero, Amundsen or Columbus? BTW as this is the Octavia III forum it might be best to also ask in the Rapid forum?
  15. Amundsen OR Bolero? Amundsen has sat nav, Bolero doesn't! A 1.6 Model Year will be a MIB2 so CarPlay can be enabled.
  16. You can't, the sat nav is an integral part of the radio - you can however turn the radio volume down to zero while still having the sat nav instruction volume set to a different vaue. As others have said RTFM.
  17. It's not as simple as just voltage and current, that measures VA not kW - that depends on the power factor too.
  18. I think we need to ask @pab567 to join this discussion...
  19. What's the back story here? Did it suddenly just do this, or did you change anything (new firmware, coding or adaptation changes)?
  20. The writing was on the cards for it to be discontinued after GPS loction stopped working a couple of months ago and Skoda Support failed to reply to emails about it. I've been using Connect Lite since I first got an Octavia in July 2016, so I'll miss it's ease of use.
  21. The language of this forum is English, please post only in English.
  22. Does you're driving mostly consist of short journeys and/or at slow speeds? Modern diesels with a DPF are not suited to that driving pattern, they need regular long journeys at medium engine speeds to burn off the soot in the DPF.
