sloshing sound of (supposedly diesel) coming from rear of 2015 Octavia vrs
How much fuel in the tank? This sloshing sound has been mentioned before on here when the tank is between 3/4 and full.

Cleaning the SD card port
Do you have an Amundsen? If so the sat nav SD card can be in either SD card slot. So you could try swapping the SD cards over and see if the problem is the SD card slot or the SD card itself.

What kind of headlight - halogen or bi-xenon?

Faulty steering wheel controls for Maxi dot
Might be a good idea to post in the relevant Yeti forum rather than this Octavia 3 forum?

Rear view camera
People can only share the knowledge and experience that they have, so it's not going to be possible for members here to help/solve every problem and to expect that is unreasonable. I hope you find a solution elsewhere, but don't blame us for not being all knowing.

Handbrake "failure"
I had the handbrake come off by itself a couple of years ago in the Aldi car park in Bideford, fortunately it was parked only a few inches behind another car and gently rolled forward onto their rear bumper. Never happened again and the Skoda dealer, predictably, said no fault found.

Columbus Map Update 2022-2023 (MIB1/2 HIGH)
Short answer, yes. Here supply the raw map data to VAG many months before VAG release the maps because it takes them time to convert the raw data into the correct format for their sat nav systems. On the older VAG sat navs (e.g. RNS-D, RNS-E, etc) the map data freeze was August of the preceding year, so October is an improvement!

All my dashboard warning lights are coming on!
Sounds like a failing wheel speed sensor to me - all those systems rely on knowing the vehicle speed, so if one (or more) wheel speed sensors fail then that's the Christmas tree you get (I had it on an Octavia last year because of a failed right rear wheel speed sensor).

Audi Throttle modification in VCDS
When I tried that tweak on my previous 1.4TSI with a manual gearbox, ACC and parking assist all hell broke loose as it appears to have changed some of the messages on the CAN bus from the engine ECU so the ABS, ACC and parking ECUs all threw fault codes about missing messages, so I do undo the coding change and turn the ignition off/on a few times which clearing the fault codes.

Need help with making sense of numerous failure messages that came all at once
The parking sensors turn off above a certain speed, so if the wheel speed signal is messed up then it's entirely possible that a parking sensor fault will be reported.

Gps tracker installation
It certainly was 12V whether the car was locked or not on my 2015 Octavia estate.

Flashing glow plug light - error code P0572 brake switch
"Short to GND" means no voltage present where voltage expected - most common cause is a blown fuse, next most common is a broken wire or bad connection, least common is faulty component.

Tyre cleaning before storage. Too fastidious?
When I had a set of winters and a set of summers I always religiously cleared them of stones etc. and thoroughly washed & dried them before putting them away in tyre bags. Putting away tyres that possibly have contamination from chemicals etc. where you don't regularly see them would seem a bad idea to me. I'm not OCD but I do like to look after my possessions!

Tyres for RS...
The 10% plus 2 mph is at the discretion of individual Chief Constables, some forces have hinted that they might be applying 5% plus 1 mph.

Tyres for RS...
That's how my 2007 RS4 felt with the factory fit Pirelli PZero Rosso tyres 🙄

Smartlink and CarPlay
Try turning WiFi off and back on on your phone, this has fixed CarPlay problems for me a couple of times.

Coming back to Skoda….
That certainly wasn't true in England, the MOT validity date was extended by 6 months for MOTs due to expire between March 30th 2020, and July 31st 2020 but this was never repeated or extended. Covid MOT Extension

Need help with making sense of numerous failure messages that came all at once
Don't forget that the cornering lights only operate up to a certain speed, so if there is a problem with the speed signal from the ABS then the cornering lights will be disabled.
-
Need help with making sense of numerous failure messages that came all at once
Sounds to me like the code scanner will most likely show a problem with a wheel speed sensor - all of the systems showing an error need to know vehicle speed to operate correctly so a faulty wheel speed sensor IMHO is the most likely root cause.

Dynamic Light Assist (DLA) on Matrix LED System
As Omniking suggests, go to another dealer - I know from personal experience that there are some truly dreadful Skoda dealers as well as some good ones.

Tyres for RS...
I wouldn't be so sure, as I said above the PS4 and PS4S are, in my experience, very sensitive to alignment - cheaper to get that checked (and corrected if necessary) than buy a whole new set of tyres?

Unlocking a car without a key - is this real?
On some older Fords the ignition switch & lock was held onto the key section by thermoplastic clips, so a few moments with a cigarette lighter and the ignition lock disengaged and the switch was free to turn by hand to start the car - got this demonstrated by a member of the Met Police Vehicle Crime Squad!

1.5TSI Octavia Real World MPG
The previous Octavia 3 managed it, and it wasn't confusing to use?

1.5TSI Octavia Real World MPG
When I commuted on the M27 (before the 'smart motorway' fiasco) between Southampton and Portsmouth or Southampton and Romsey I counted myself lucky to get to 40mph, so maybe the 60mph limit is of academic concern?

Octavia Scout 2015 Headlight upgrade
+1 to both of those comments. Dealers will usually only retrofit where the factory offer a complete kit with instructions - and no such kit exists for the halogen to Xenon upgrade. My best experience with uprated (and road legal) halogen bulbs is with Osram Night Breaker Laser bulbs. P.S. Don't go the LED retrofit route as they will be an MOT fail as the halogen headlamps are not marked for approval with any bulb type except halogen.
