(VCDS) Cant see "Easy entry" on the MIB or VCDS
@LinoTheFox - as @travs indicated - urs is a mk3 pre-facelift Superb. MY15 to MY19. mk3 Facelift arrived MY20. mk4 Superb has just been released. MY15 to MY17 can't do easy entry. U need MY18 onwards for that.

280/272 estate buying advice
My DQ250 box is happily handling 533Nm at the wheels torque 😁 I have a APR Hi-torque Stg 1 ECU tune and DSG tune, on my FWD 220 Superb. Tis been 2.5 yrs now with the tunes. The DQ250 can handle up to 600Nm with a DSG tune and a sensible setup. Beyond 600Nm, hardware such as clutch packs need to b changed.....

280/272 estate buying advice
whilst the L&K is a nice comfortable version, i would avoid getting the MY16 version. MY15 & MY16 were the "first version/batch" of mk3 Superb. MY17 saw improved electronics (various things), adding more features. MY18 onwards they introduced nice things such as digital cluster and the larger infotainment. MY19 saw the introduction of the 272 (GPF) and DQ381, in some markets. MY20 onwards the facelift version came out, sporting the troublesome MIB3 units, and cost cutting measure across various different things.

Rear lights on late 2022 superb estate, not all lighting up
@semiroundel - there r two types of tail lights, Low version and High version. Depending on the model, u'll get either low or high taillights. It's not broken, nor a warranty thing. Low version is simpler, and the inner tail light (on the boot) is not wired up, hence doesn't light up. High version is usually full LED and both outer and inner lights r fully functional.

Help understanding the mk3.5 facelift
Maybe it was the 2.0TDi not 2.0TSi...... That would explain the sluggish feeling.

Help understanding the mk3.5 facelift
Digital Dash (Virtual Cluster) was introduced from MY18 onwards, along with the MIB2.5 unit with the 9.2" screen. Up until then it was the analog dash, MIB2 units with the 8" screen. MIB3 came along from MY20 onwards. Same digital dash. As for the 2019 2.0TSi feeling as slow as the 1.5TSi - that's not right. Was it the 190, 220 or 280? I test drove both the FWD 220 and AWD 280, before I ended up getting the 220. With a smaller turbo than 280, the 220 is a lot more responsive and peppy driving around. Apart from off the line, it is in every way just as quick or even slightly quicker than the AWD 280.

Help understanding the mk3.5 facelift
The Canton setup in the Superb is different to the Canton setup in the Octavia and Kodiaq. Those two share the same speakers and DSP amplifier. The Superb on the otherhand has more speakers and a more powerful amplifier. See images below. This is the pre-facelift Superb by the way. I have no idea about the downgraded Canton system in the facelift Superb. They probably using the same setup as the Octavia/Kodiaq now.

Help understanding the mk3.5 facelift
@Bap33 - good point. A number of the facelift Superbs missed out, during or post COVID, on things like Lane Assist, Matrix Headlights, Canton system, Blind Spot Monitoring, Travel Assist etc etc.

Identifying trim under bumper
It's very easy to install - simply slides into the wheel arch lining groves.
-
Identifying trim under bumper
Yeah, ur definitely missing it. It's a front "spoiler". It's part of the front wheel arch liner - Item #13 in the image below. Part number is 3V0 853 887 B Looks like urs went missing when the front wheel arch liner, or front bumper, was removed.

Help understanding the mk3.5 facelift
the facelift so the introduction of the MIB3 units, which is far less stable than the previous MIB2.5 (with 9.2" screen) and MIB2 (with 8" screen) units. a lot more issues have been reported with them. lots of changes with the various control modules - gateway, lane assist, A5 camera, headlights & central electrics. as a result, many of the VCDS/OBDEleven coding that works on the pre-facelift will not work on the facelift. in addition, a number of things on the facelift now cannot b simply enabled, like TSR (traffic sign recognition). the Canton on the facelift is also a downgrade. u loose the boot torch. the boot strut hinges on the facelift wagon r a weaker design and r known to fail. There is a TSB out for it.

The Superb III Picture thread
Agreed....the 19" Phoenix/Trinity wheels r beautiful and suits the Superb really well. I do miss having them on my car.

Suspension upgrade installed
If u get the Pro-kit version, and u have DCC shocks - it will drop approx 20 to 25 mm. Standard shocks will see it drop approx 35 to 40 mm.

How to tell if used Superb has active lane guidance
Unfortunately no way to check without switching on the car and checking the Assist menu to see if it has the option for "Adaptive Lane Guidance". This is in addition to the basic Lane Assist. Another way, though not always the case, is to look at the camera type on the front windscreen - if it has the A5 (triangle) camera, then u have the hardware, and is likely enabled.

Skoda Sportline Exhaust
@skoda_turners - yes, I still have the stock mufflers on both sides. I like the look of the Sportline diffuser as it matches the theme of Gandalf. Not sure why u want valved OEM exhausts. A number of 280 owners have coded their exhaust valves to b permanently open so they can hear it. Even with it open, it's not "loud" enough. Ur neighbours won't notice. Instead, get a full aftermarket or custom built valved exhaust setup. That involves the downpipe, centre resonator, and the dual mufflers. However this route is very expensive and hardly any off the shelf aftermarket options that will b direct bolt on.
-
Skoda Sportline Exhaust
The FWD does not have the valved exhaust. Only the 280 AWD version does. I have the same 220 FWD Superb - I recently put an RPM Performance Anti-drone Resonator Delete pipe. Increases the noise slightly, but not loud. Adds a nice note when pushing it.

DTUK peddle box
@leolito - lol, love ur great words of advice there!! Speaking of sills, my door sills r illuminated - so I need to take extra care, even though they're solid and durable.

Help required to correctly identify the paint on my car please?
Paint code is made up of two parts:- Colour Code + Lacquer Number. The colour code (exterior) has two parts in itself - body/roof. In my case, Business Grey, is LF7M 2C2C. There is a sticker in the boot with the paint details. Alternatively, a report from eRwin will show u this too, based on ur VIN. Boot sticker.... From Skoda eRwin....

Has anyone raised a Mkiii Superb Wagon to get more ground clearance ?
I've only seen positive reports, first hand, and even from FL Superb owners here in Oz that have done the DCC Slider Mod and loved it. The pre-facelift and facelift use the same DCC shocks. Wat negative reports have u read? Do u know someone in Europe that has successfully done it? As far as I know, people r still on the hunt for someone in Europe to b able to do it as there a number of Superb owners there who r keen to get it.

the DCC Recalibration u can perform urself using OBDEleven or VCDS. instructions below. the DCC Slider Mod requires specialist tools and has a lot more "complicated" steps as it also involves updating the Gateway module firmware aswell. a guy in Sydney, Julian, who did it for me. he has done it to a quite a number of Superb owners in Sydney. i believe there is also someone in Brisbane and/or Melbourne who has the laptop and specialist to enable the Julian to perform it remotely. PM me if u want his details.
