  1. not possible. it is the same for others. i live in Australia, which means i need to get the Rest Of the World (RoW) map updates, all 22-24Gb of it, of every other country in world that isn't covered by the EU maps!!
  2. 5.7L to b exact.....not 7L!! Overfilling with oil is bad for the engine.
  3. Step by step guide here..... https://www.autoinstruct.com.au/manufacturer/volkswagen/mk7-golf/ea888-mk7-golf-oil-change/?srsltid=AfmBOoq6TJZBDiPOLlFX1SrKWrKPqOtLAacqyfj2HWHMzsAovdkSQNaj
  4. I change the oil (filter, sump plug, oil - 5w30), myself, in between the annual service schedules, at the workshop. Hence my car (220) gets an oil change every 6 months. Reason i do that is because my car is tuned, hence recommended to have a more frequent oil change. Very easy to do it urself. Front on ramps so u can drain the oil and put a new sump plug. Then replace the oil filter next to the dipstick. Replace oil, 5.7L is needed for 2.0L 220.
  5. +1 If I try to leave the key in the boot (open/close), with the car locked, it won't re-lock the boot. It complains. Mine is MY17 with KESSY.
  6. the 8" screen for an MIB2 will not work with MIB2.5 unit - u'll get a blank screen, no display. during the upgrade process, the screen turns blank, at which point u have to swap the display to the 9.2" to continue/complete the upgrade.
  7. I had a Pixel 5 before, now I have a Pixel 8 - both play nicely with AAWireless.
  8. I have seen numerous discussions about peeps (with MIB3) struggling with setting up Primary Users, so ur finding is quite possible that it is in turn messing up ur built-in wireless. I wonder if there is a way to disable native wireless on the MIB3 unit, so it stops causing confusion with Android Auto.
  9. @gr0m1t - here r screenshots of my AAWireless settings. My phone is a Google Pixel 5. I have a MY17 Superb with the Columbus MIB2.5 infotainment.
  10. If ur wired connection is sketchy, then don't blame AAWireless! As u said - it worked fine with ur MK2 Superb before. U need to sort out ur USB ports and/or MIB3 unit. I'll screenshot the settings of my AAWireless and share that with u.
  11. I'm not familiar with the Amundsen infotainment system, but I would imagine so yes, it's similar. The files will differ and likely the media u use to load it with.
  12. I don't have Skoda roof racks, but I use Pro-rack and it's clamps have a thick clear plastic film on the side that faces/contacts the roof. Similar to that clear film between the rear door sill and the rear wheel arch. So no chance of scratching when the clamps r fully tightened down.
  13. WOW......Skoda have really gone cheap and downgraded the sub in the Canton system for the facelift Superb!!! no wonder many peeps of the facelift Superb r not impressed with Canton system. the pre-facelift occupies the entire storage cubby space on the left of the boot, and is ported into the chassis frame, so u can feel a nice deep and solid base from the sub-woofer.
  14. First plug in OBDEleven or VCDS and see if any errors come up. The window switch panel can b replaced, if necessary, assuming that is the problem.
  15. Yup, pre-facelift, MIB2 or MIB2.5, USB-A port at the front is a data port, does both CarPlay and Android Auto. If factory fitted with the additional armrest storage USB-A port, it too will also b a data enabled. Both will b data enabled. Would look something like this.... Facelift with MIB3 - I'm not sure how it's setup USB wise apart from the fact that early models could not do wireless natively. That came later.
  16. Mine came with 3 keys too. It's an MY17. I believe it's KESSY related.
  17. As above, turn off the Voice Enhancer in the infotainment menu.
  18. Early MIB3 units did not do wireless natively. They didn't have the appropriate hardware. It only came a bit later. Ur best bet is to stick with a wireless dongle. The USB port at the front (phone box) should definitely b data enabled. It's not charge only.
  19. +1 My experience, and others with MIB2.5 that I know off is that it is very stable. I'm currently running 1440 (MHI2_ER_SKG13_P4526_1_AIO_MU1440)
  20. @Guil - given that u have a USB-C in the charging tray - u have an MIB3 unit. i'm not sure how the MIB3 setup is with the additional USB port in the armrest compartment, but yes, u could try connecting to the AAWireless to the front USB-C port and see if that makes any difference. MIB2 and MIB2.5 can't do/handle USB-C natively.
  21. how is this a "project"?!?!? wrong section
  22. my AAWireless adaptor sits perfectly, directly over the USB port in the phone-box compartment. it is out of sight with no cables dangling. the lid closes too, with no obstructions. if i need to put my phone on charge, i can use the phone-box wireless charger, or plug it into a wired charger inside my armrest storage compartment, where power is sourced from the rear passenger 12v.
  23. That's a shame. Sorry to hear AAWireless2 was not working out for u. Must something off with ur phone and infotainment combo. Out of curiosity, do u have an MIB3 unit?
  24. I've got a downpipe itch. Had the itch for a while now, but tis high time I take action. It's the last of my "improved efficiency" journey, removing the factory downpipe restriction. Problem is APR don't do Stg 2, hence I can't get a downpipe unless I change tuners. Given I already have APR TCU, IE Intercooler and Racingline intake, I'm currently researching the following potential options:- Get IE downpipe and switch to IE Stg 2 ECU Get IE downpipe and switch to Galano ECU tune Talking to my Euro specialist, about pricing & options. Should complement nicely my existing RPM Performance Resonator Delete pipe. Will see....
  25. USB-C would indicate that it is definitely MIB3. MIB is the "infotainment" system used across the VWAG family. in summary, MIB2 is stable, but "old". MIB2.5 is the best of the pick, with the MIB3 have a lot of issues, ranging from freezing, lagging, wireless not working, loosing sound, bluetooth dropouts, mic issues. below r some of the key differences bet MIB2 - pre-facelift mk3 MY15 to MY17. Head unit paired with screens (up to 8") with physical buttons. USB-A. SD-Card, CD/DVD drive Wired Android Auto & CarPlay. No Virtual Cluster. MIB2.5 - pre-facelift mk3 MY18 to MY19. Head unit paired with screens (up to 9.2") with NO physical buttons. USB-A. SD-Card, CD/DVD drive Wired Android Auto & CarPlay. With Virtual Cluster. MIB3 - facelift mk3 MY20 onwards. Head unit paired with screens (up to 9.2") with NO physical buttons. USB-C. No SD-Card, No CD/DVD drive Wired and Wireless Android Auto & CarPlay. With Virtual Cluster.
