Yes the Superb is a big car that has wallowy suspension. U can fix it by doing a few of these things to address it:- - firmer springs, lowered or not. - aftermarket shocks - aftermarket rear swaybar - DCC recalibration

likely then it will already b parameterized, so yes, no need for the VCP/ODIS steps. the only downside with the pre-loaded dataset is that tire sizes pre-loaded may not necessarily match ur car tire size. so select a tire set that matches the tire pressures u want to use. that's wat really matters - the target pressure readings for comfort, standard & fully loaded. the tire size description is not important for the TPMS function.

@RT_SGP - the TPMS module i bought came pre-loaded with a parameter file, so i don't have step by step instructions for it - sorry. The RDKS generator (link here) is used to create the ZDC parameter file, which is used to load into module #65-tire pressure, via VCP or ODIS. u can have multiple tire sets in ur parameter file, or have just the one set of tire pressures.

Sadly it's the only way. U can't remove the tweeter speaker grill with the door card on. It needs to come off, so u can remove the bolt holding the wing mirror - #4 in the pic below.

U have DCC if u have 5 driving modes - Eco, Comfort, Normal, Sport and Individual. In Individual, it will show u a DCC setting.

I'll post up the exact VCDS/OBDEleven coding steps shortly. I'll also post up the link that allows u to create the RDX parameter file, to b loaded via VCP/ODIS.

U can find the part numbers in the 1st page of my build thread. Link in my signature. Yes, u definitely need to have the rear bumper off. Plus u need to run a power wire to a permanent 12v power source in the fuse box under the glovebox, hence u'll need sill panels off, boot trim panels off, so u can route the wire to the front.

....which is why I have activated "scandanavian lights" mode - the rear lights r on all the time, like the front DRLs.

That's the whole point of DRL - Daytime Running Light.....so u r visible at all times, even if u r under a bridge or shadow for a sec or two - u r still visible!!!

Direct TPMS is not standard across any of the Skoda models. In most markets, it's not even offered as an option for ur Skoda. Russia offers it as an option on Kodiaqs there. Indirect TPMS is the normal. Its known as the Tyre Pressure Loss Indicator (TPLI). TPLI uses the wheel ABS sensors to compare the rotational speed of each wheel to determine differences in tyre pressures. There is no extra hardware or sensors required, hence it's standard. TPMS has extra hardware - 4x pressure sensors in each rim and a receiver module. This gives u the actual tyre pressure readings. The Audi version goes one step further and gives u tyre temperatures in addition! I retrofitted the Direct TPMS version in my Superb last year. I'm happy with it. Indirect TPMS..... Comparison.... mine is set to "late", so its not trigger happy every time i go under a bridge or pass the shade of a tree. otherwise i'm quite happy with the "auto-ness" of my lights switching on/off, given the various conditions.

yes, u need to remove the wheel arch liner from both sides if u need to change both bulbs. otherwise just remove the side u need to change. u can see the back of the headlight in the image below. it is possible from the top, engine bay, but access will b very very tight, and u risk damaging bulb, the holder or even much up the motor alignment inside the headlight.

That's a good video That particular car has SLA headlights, hence it has the green "ring" holder for the D3S globe. Non-SLA headlights use a different, spring squeeze clip to hold the xenon bulb. Every other process is exactly the same. I've changed mine twice, one to retrofit SLA headlights, and 2nd time to change to Phillips xTremeVisions - so l'm familiar with the annoying process. There is also a detailed How-to Guide in the "Superb Guides" section in this forum.

The mk3 pre-facelift Superb has either Bi-xenons, or halogens. Not both. It uses a single D3S xenon bulb to do both low and high beams.

Yes, that is dashcam footage from my car. Mine is fitted with Smart Light Assist, hence it changes the beam shapes a considerable amount when masking. I'm not exactly sure wat u mean by near-side, centre-line and off-side - sorry. Got some other footage - don't know if these r any different to wat ur describing.....

unfortunately the latest MIB3 units r riddled with issues. not just with the various Skoda models, but also with VW and Seat models. tis a shame cause it ruins the new car experience. fingers crossed they release a new firmware soon for it.

I only ever use the jack stands on the axle points. I use the trolley jack on the sills to lift the car, then place the jack stands.

Correct - that's because u don't currently have the AFS Slave module (8U0941329) connected to ur 3V1 headlight. That module controls the AFS and DRL functionality.

As far as I know, 3V1941016A requires the AFS slave module (8U0941329), and it has AFS function. Mine certainly did have it, the only difference mine was a RHD version (3V2). I don't know why the Chinese models r getting the same 3V1941016A without the 8U0 module, and hence no AFS function. In theory, if u put the AFS slave module (8U0941329) in ur existing 3V1 headlights - u should get the AFS functionality ur after.

i don't understand - 3V1941016A already has AFS functionality. in fact those headlights have AFS2 functionality. they adjust to different speeds, weather conditions, city/urban/highway driving etc etc. how is 3VD941016A different? i'm not familiar with this headlight version. in theory, ur AFS slave modules (8U0) will get its parameters from the 55-headlight controller module. assuming those r the correct slave modules the 3VD headlights.
