Fabia vrs
Spark plugs haven't changed much in the last hundred years or so, you should only fit Iridium spark plugs to your new VRS and change them frequently, however brand is largely irrelevant.

Cambelt ok? Check the belt timing torsion value in VCDS.

Fabia Mk1 Gear / transmission oil viscosity and change interval?
Gearbox oil doesn't get hot or contaminated which is why it doesn't wear out, brand doesn't matter either, changing the oil won't do any harm but it's difficult, expensive and completely unnecessary. I'm an experienced engineer and no manufacturer recommends gearbox oil changes these days, but if you know better then knock yourself out.

Fabia Mk1 Gear / transmission oil viscosity and change interval?
You don't need to change the gearbox oil at all, simply top it up until it's full, if you have to put much in then it's got a leak somewhere.

Air filter/induction kit
Don't bother, it won't do anything except risk damage to the turbo. If you must then fit an S2000 paper cone filter.

Elegance Replacement bumper
They're extremely rare so good luck finding one.

Blue thread lock
It doesn't matter, all blue threadlock is dismantleable and there's only a handful of places where it's actually needed, flywheel bolts for example.

Gear stick not returning to centre neutral position.
Nice, I too have this issue but it doesn't really bother me.

Front brake upgrade on MK2 Fabia 1.6 TDI
Unless you have north of 200 bhp the 288's are really all the brakes you need on a Fabia because it's quite a light car. If it's R.I.C.E you like then knock yourself out. Ricer.

Tune down a turbo?
A big turbo means horrible lag, especially when under utilised. That said, shooting for huge numbers is a terrible idea if you want a reliable car, 220 BHP is the sweet spot in terms of bang for your buck on a PD, bear that in mind if you're watching the pennies.

Skoda Fabia MK2 exhaust manifold red glow....??? is that normal
Jet fuel is basically diesel and burns much cooler. However, I have seen exhaust manifolding glowing red hot many times, particularly on modern cars which run extra hot from cold start to get the cat lit as quickly as possible. If the engine were running badly then that might be suspicious, but a red hot manifold on a running stationary car in and of itself is not symptomatic of a fault.

1.6 TDI anti roll bar size.
Polybushes for ARB retention are a waste of money, it doesn't matter if the ARB moves a bit more as long as it stays put, that's all the bushes are for.

I'm not sure what I said to get the downvote, whether it was the reassurance of normality or the dwarf joke?

Skoda Fabia MK2 exhaust manifold red glow....??? is that normal
Of course it's normal, exhaust gases are extremely hot, they're the product of an explosion which reaches thousands of degrees momentarily. How else would it get that hot, a dwarf with an oxy-acetylene torch hiding under the bonnet?

Gearbox
Take it to a VAG indie garage for repair, don't let the cowboys you used last time near it again.

Particulate filter, management and glow plug lights on.
No, but they're reputable and this is what they do. There's bound to be a franchise near you.

Particulate filter, management and glow plug lights on.
I'm afraid your garage is gouging you brutally, if you take it to a terraclean centre they'll get it sorted for a fraction of the cost. Moral of the story is that modern diesels make REALLY bad shopping trolleys, they need a good fast run regularly to stay clean.

mkII vRS engine endgame?
Yes, don't buy a brand you've never heard of from ECP, stick with the big names, the quality control is the difference and it's worth paying the extra.

Question
I really don't think we can take this much further. In the old days cranks were often cast, nowadays they're all forged, these are the only two ways of making a crank. You seem to be having a lockdown meltdown, go and have a lie down and stop thinking these pointless negative thoughts.

Question
In my experience it's far more common for a dropped valve head to break off and damage the sparkplug than the other way around! A dropped valve generally happens if the engine is over-revved, usually during an accidental down shift.

Question
So don't modify the engine, just leave it alone, you've already blown one up, why risk it with another.
