1.3 MPI (175 miles to a tank)
Yes of course, I'm only actually referring to engines found in the Fabia.

1.3 MPI (175 miles to a tank)
No MAF on petrol engines, except mine which is a 90's euro 3 refugee and which also has a secondary air pump and no EGR, probably why it's so reliable.

Semi-catastrophic rear axle / shock failure
Relax, I'm just pokin' ya...

1.3 MPI (175 miles to a tank)
Plug colour is good so no fuelling issues, I reckon you'll notice a big improvement in torque from the change which means you won't have to work the engine so hard.

Those plugs are completely worn out, the electrode looks like a mushroom!

Skoda Fabia Mk2 - 1.2HTP - BBM - Poor Iddling / Cylinder 1 Missfire
A head rebuild is the only real option I'm afraid, it'll be expensive and I'd replace the camchain and tensioner at the same time for complete peace of mind.

Skoda Fabia Mk2 - 1.2HTP - BBM - Poor Iddling / Cylinder 1 Missfire
It'll have a knock sensor which will pick up the misfire in milliseconds.

1.3 MPI (175 miles to a tank)
I drive like a **** in my tool eater and I STILL get more range from a tank than this guy so he definitely has a problem!

Skoda Fabia Mk2 - 1.2HTP - BBM - Poor Iddling / Cylinder 1 Missfire
I suspect you have low compression on cylinder one and the ECU is cutting both the coil pack and the injector as @Breezy_Pete has already told you...

Semi-catastrophic rear axle / shock failure
Alright, calm down, if you were going to do anything stupid with potential legal consequences you probably shouldn't say so in a public forum! Given that you'd have to remove the axle for welding and fab on a bench you might as well just replace the whole thing.

Best option for OEM suspension?
OP didn't say it was a VRS so I assumed it wasn't since non-VRS are statistically far more numerous, I suppose it could have been a tool eater like mine which also has 288's but they're even rarer.
-
Semi-catastrophic rear axle / shock failure
It is heavily corroded under there which is going to make it tricky to weld so there is an argument for simply swapping the entire beam axle for a better one off a scrap car, the beam itself is easy to remove and refit.

The B12 kit will not be super comfortable, you need to go back to standard with the Autodoc springs and B4 dampers to get the ride right, don't forget wheels and tyres either, you need 14" wheels for the best comfort with 185/60 tyres.

Fabia vRS (ASZ): Advice on Synchro/Torsen angle
It sounds like you've fixed it already, if it's still thirsty then you should probably replace the MAF altogether since cleaning is rarely effective and twelve years is a ripe old age for one.

Gear Box Swap
It's not a very good idea, the 1.2 engine is so slow it'll struggle to pull the higher gearing.

fabia vrs o'ring sizes for intercooler pipes
No, they're airtight enough.

60 plate car cutting out whilst driving
To be fair most of the issues wouldn't be issues if manufacturers stopped the stupid Jesus features like DSG in the first place, my motorcycle has 125BHP and a six speed sequential gearbox capable of clutchless upshifts like most bikes do, god knows why stunningly average road car drivers imagine they need flappy paddles and as for twincharging, it's a solution looking for a problem!

fabia vrs o'ring sizes for intercooler pipes
It's not the seals that give problems, it's the lugs that wear causing the joint itself to be loose, most people just shoot some self tapping screws in to tighten up the joint.

Not likely, I'm not a tartan rug, scatter cushion ditherer!

1.6 CR TDI Fabia crank but no start (no OBD codes)
Seriously, when did you last replace the battery? Even a decent quality battery is broadly done after five years use so unless you have a receipt proving that it's been changed in the last three years and given that a new one isn't much more than a tankful of fuel then I hardly think that you're firing up the parts cannon!

60 plate car cutting out whilst driving
VAG are not a performance car manufacturer, they are too value driven to care about their halo cars, they pare away at costs and as a result build unreliable cars to the detriment of their brands. The original Golf GTI would not get made these days, it'd be laughed out of the board room. If you want to build a downsized high performance car these days look no further than the Toyota Yaris GR, that's how you do the engineering right, unfortunately they lose money on every single one of course, the sweet spot lies somewhere in between the VRS and the GR.

Just replace the battery, that one's done and life is too short and too brutal for dithering.
