  1. If it’s just to be used as an emergency “get me to a garage” wheel, you’re as well just sticking with the space saver wheel. Getting a 16” wheel still comes with the same restrictions as the space saver. So unless you’re going to go and get a full size spare, just stick with the skinny one.
  2. I get this very occasionally in my Mk3. It’s so infrequent I’ve never bothered doing anything about it. Just figured it was a quirk. My solutions are to take my foot off the clutch and try again (which works) or just pull away in 2nd gear, depending on the the incline of the road.
  3. Buying a brand new electric car is the biggest thing you can do for the planet?
  4. It was replaced with a lower powered 2.0TDI from memory. Whats your thought process here? Be less cryptic.
  5. I’d agree that poorly implemented ones are not great. I think I know the lorry ones you’re referring too. The indicator is surrounded by a bright, red rear light. Which does make it difficult to see. To me, if done correctly they aid in providing an indicated direction of travel, which can be advantageous in poor light conditions. As I indicated (no pun intended), it all depends on how they’re implemented.
  6. I don’t have anything further to add to what’s just been posted 👍🏻
  7. That’s not the same as dynamic cornering lights, which, use additional LEDs within the main cluster to change the beam “shape”. Youre describing cornering lights which utilise the fog lights for low speed manoeuvres, as you’ve rightly described. Easy to get mixed up as they sound similar but are actually quite different. The swivelling xenon’s from the pre-facelift were great. I much preferred their behaviour over the facelift, but prefer the light output of the facelift. Must be some technical reason why LEDs couldn’t use the same system?
  8. This forum is the only one I use where warping discs are a common occurrence. On another forum I use, I could count on one hand the number of times it’s been reported in the 15 years I’ve been using it. Personally, I’m not buying it. But, I can’t see them so 🤷🏻‍♂️
  9. The car? What were you expecting from MC trim?
  10. Yeah, it’s quite a nice looking car. Shame there isn’t a wee bit more power. Dropping the 2.0TSI 190 in it would have been nice. Keep the Monte Carlo name so it doesn’t fully step on the Polo GTI’s toes. Anyway, it’s not happening.
  11. Does it say don’t dry them? Or don’t “dry wipe” them. They’re both different statements. I thought it was the latter.
  12. Im purely questioning their dig at Skoda because they see wind down windows as negative progress. The decision isn’t a cost saving one, it’s a “get them out the door one”. I’d make the same comment if they had one, 1000 or 1000000 posts.
  13. What’s “progress” got to do with anything? You know the reason for the change. They literally can’t get the parts.
  14. Killing the name off would more likely be done when introducing its fully electric replacement; whenever that may be. It’s still the brands biggest seller. Software issues are not a reason to bury it.
  15. There was a really nice guy - Josh - that used to work there. Bought 4 cars off him. Left a few years ago now.
  16. The white Skoda branded thermo mug (which they used to give you free when purchasing a new car) fit perfectly. Just FYI. They’re a pretty good mug as well to be fair. When I used to commute to work, I’d make a brew for the journey. By the time I got the 15 miles to work, I still had the whole drink left as it hadn’t cooled enough yet 😂.
  17. Yes. There is also an audit log that’s auto generated so you can see, step by step, what the parameter was before the change and after the change.
  18. Pretty sure it tells you the “price” on the app button. Im sure I sound like a broken record, but, I’d be ignoring the apps and just code yourself. There are more than a few threads on here, with even more elsewhere, where people have used apps to make a change and it’s gone haywire. You’ll have no idea what changes the app has actually made and it’s just a pain to sort. So, to conclude. Ignore the credits, ignore the apps and code yourself using the guides on here.
  19. I’d swap, if it was me. None of the missing options are items I’d be desperate for.
  20. What does the error say? If it specifically states cornering lights, it’ll either be the fixed lights at the bottom of the bumper or the dynamic cornering system. When the lights dance, do they just go up and down? No other direction?
  21. Possible? Yep; probably. Worth doing over just buying one? Nope.
  22. Why not opt for a Scala then? Looking at the price of the Fabia Hatch, the Scala looks like it’s around the price a Fabia Estate would have been?
  23. Turn the light switch to “Off” in those situations then (parked on a lit highway). The CH/LH lights don’t operate when the switch is at “Off”, only “Auto”.
  24. To clarify. The procedure for pre-facelift and facelift vRS models is definitely different. I’ve done both. Checking the OP profile, looks like they have a 2015. Which is pre-facelift. So the procedure in the linked thread above will be correct.
