Same here. It’s one of the better VCDS mods to do. No experience of the Mk4 though to advise on how to execute (if it can be).

Does it have a “history” function? Or a function to allow a full scan report so we can see what all the settings are? This is the problem with these single click changes these apps have. You’ve got no idea what is being changed in the background.

How did you make the change? Did you do it manually or use some kind of “one touch” app to do it?

I think it entirely depends on how good you feel the main dealer is and whether you have a local independent/specialist nearby with a good rep to go to.

The theory is that because more power is available, it requires less effort to keep the car moving. It hardly ever works in practice as people just use the extra power available. Accelerating harder; driving quicker. A remap doesn’t magically make the car more fuel efficient, that comes from driver input. The internet is awash with people who’ve had their fingers burnt by manufacturers turning down warranty claims due to detected remaps. Even after the remap has been removed, it can still be detected. If they choose to look hard enough.

Not exactly. There are 2 cluster types. LED and LED high functionality. The latter is what you want.

Yeah they’re simple to replace. Two screws fix the cluster is place. There are two locating pins as well. Cable set is just plug and play.
