  1. What’s the actual desired outcome here? You’re just throwing things out there with no apparent conclusion.
  2. Mine rattles more than an old Leyland bus when really cold. Figured it’s just the nature of everything being harder and more brittle due to the cold. No flex in anything. It stops when the temps creep up again.
  3. The side lights are those blue lights you see towards the inside of each light cluster. The LED strip is just a DRL on the pre facelift. Yeah, you’re right about the rapid blinking. Do the rears have any LED lamps? The indicator should be regular filament lamps. If cheap LEDs have been used in the front, it’s not a massive leap to assume they’re at the rear as well. Off the top of my head I don’t know the coding. There is a sticky at the top of this forum that should aid though.
  4. The check light could be the result of cheap LED lamps being used. They’re not OEM being that colour. As for the turn signals. Check the coding for them. Looks like the previous owner has set them as US side markers, as well as changing the blinking phase. Good examples of, just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.
  5. Someone on here got their 18” Gemini wheels refurbed in black with diamond cut faces. I don’t think they ever posted a picture though, which was disappointing. Not quite on topic though, sorry.
  6. I’d actually like to see a set of the 19” Taurus wheels on a Mk3 but I very much doubt anyone has done it. http://skoda-acc.com/GENUINE-SKODA-OCTAVIA-IV-Alloy-wheel-TAURUS-19-5E3071499E-FL8
  7. No pics but IMO the Xtreme’s look better in black, rather than anthracite.
  8. Yes, OBDeleven can save a copy of original coding but it also keeps a step by step audit trail of changes made. Although I suspect the latter might disappear if the app was uninstalled and reinstalled.
  9. So my understanding is... you're not cancelling. You're settling (paying off the loan). Cancelling would be saying that you no longer want the deal and pulling out without paying anything or taking delivery of a vehicle.
  10. Isn’t this actually ridiculously common with VAG rear wiper motors?
  11. Certainly one of the big advantages of electric cars will hopefully be the death of this fixed/variable servicing ballocks. Nobody has a f**king clue what’s meant to happen and when from what I read on here. That’s not a dig at the OP btw.
  12. They were super rare in the Mk3, no? Maybe one to keep in mind but I wouldn’t be holding out for one.
  13. They’ve found a load of unused 1.9TDI PD 130s in basement storage. Gonna whack those in.
  14. So, speaking from a Mk3 POV (I know this is Mk4 territory) I find the exact same and as such, never use the auto high beam feature. As you describe, the system doesn’t detect what we as humans would (light about to come over the crest of a hill, or round a corner) which results in it waiting until the car is in full view. By which point, it’s too late. My suspicion is that it’s a limitation of the technology. The camera needs a higher level of confirmation to prevent a load of false positives. But I’m no engineer, so maybe that’s total crap.
  15. Not a bad design to my eye. Won’t be buying one though. Still don’t get the SUV love. I wonder if they put the batteries and running gear into something that didn’t have all the aerodynamic properties of a breeze block, they could hit over 400 miles as a range? I’d sign up for that.
  16. I think someone in the Karoq section mentions this happening.
  17. I think I can only recall of one being reported on here since being on the forum (2014). Never see them mentioned on FB pages either. Golfs, A3s and Evokes; yes. But not these.
  18. So, my Mk3 does this or I think something similar. If the audible alert for the sensors has been going for a while, the volume reduces. I think it then increases if the frequency changes. Is that what you’re experiencing?
  19. You should be impressed. My employer should be concerned 😏
  20. The trim levels became a bit of a cluster **** at one point. Below is a rough table of how it goes. I have used SE to mark out the models that were offered as additional to the regulars. Hopefully that makes sense..? PFL 220 PFL 230 SE FL 230 FL 245 SE FL 245 FL 245 Challenge Ok, now we’re - not much - clearer on that. The car in here is a FL 245. That’s why it has the 18”s and the silver exhaust tips (Googled the reg). All clear? Nope? Excellent 😂
  21. Have a look at what similar cars are going for from a dealer, get a WBAC (and similar) quote and price somewhere between the two.
  22. I’d think after multiple owners and 54K there is zero chance.
  23. I await the outcome of this with interest.
  24. I think I would maybe check with VCDS (or similar) to see if it’s been deactivated for some bizarre reason. Maybe both were activated by the previous owner then hastily and incorrectly deactivated prior to selling. I dunno. It’s the lack of warning that’s making me think that.
