  1. Just turn the function off in the infotainment. You don’t need VCDS.
  2. Lol, another fine example of just because you can doesn’t mean you should. What a mess. Anyway, just give the number plate lates a secondary function of being a traffic signal.
  3. I like to leave all my fog lights on, to make sure people know I don’t drive the entry level spec model. Like and follow for more life tips.
  4. I noticed that as well. The only way to tell was the price changing. Re Phoenix Orange. I doubt that’s the reason. It’s not going to be a mega popular colour like silver or white so can’t really see it having a huge impact on potential stock items. With that said, I have no explanation myself so who knows.
  5. Ok, for clarity. My general question was around what people see as advantages of using the Skoda apps over using just the key or other things like Android Auto etc. To focus more on the latter point, my experience has been that just using my phone, it’s integrated maps, calendar etc are far better than using the Skoda integration of sending a route to the car.
  6. Yep, fair enough re the key. Android Auto/ Car Play doesn’t have anything to do with the key. I was referencing the discussion of sending routs to the car. You were part of that conversation just a few posts up.
  7. Genuine question here. Why do people bother with these features? The key, Android Auto / Car Play work perfectly well and far better than what’s being discussed here. Is it just a case of “just wanted to try it”. In which case yeah; I get it. Sometimes it is nice to try these things.
  8. Is this an app from Skoda to integrate your Google calendar to the cars infotainment? I don’t have a Mk4 btw so can’t see it. If so, what’s the benefit of this app over using Android Auto? My opinion of this type of OEM app is, well, they’re ****. They take something from the mobile OS and make it work less effectively. I kinda wish they just wouldn’t bother. I never used any of the MK3 stuff for that reason. Or am I missing the point.
  9. Maybe get a few other quotes. Sure you could get a bumper but the quality of the paintwork on that could be questionable. Plus, you’re still going to have to sort the rear 1/4 as you can see paint damage just above the panel gap.
  10. Here you go. This should link to a post I made with screenshots from OBDeleven.
  11. I’d take a picture of mine with the part number… …but I threw it out 4 1/2 years ago after collecting the car 🤷🏻‍♂️
  12. I’m not sure a screen protector for the infotainment is required? It’s not going in your pocket. Mine is still mint after 4 1/2 years.
  13. It’s not complicated. Have a look at all the menus and settings mentioned first. A dry run. Then crack on. There is an audit trail of changes but it’s definitely worth making a backup prior to changing anything.
  14. Im being nosey. What did you have to pick to add nearly £4K of options to the price?
  15. The latter. So when I put my main beam on. Im not running around with dipped beam and fog lights 👍🏻
  16. Ive gone with… - rear DRL - heated seat memory - fan speed shown when using AC on auto - cornering lights - “eyelashes” as DRL - front fog lights active when headlights are activated - 2 second delay for headlight washer Think that’s it.
  17. No, it’ll have no impact on that.
  18. Yep, I have it. Have used it (Pro version) on a pre facelift and facelift vRS. It’s the Android version I use though. Never used the iOS one but I can only imagine it’s the same. Plenty VCDS guides and you just follow them for instructions on how to make changes.
  19. I think I can say with complete confidence, you’ve now spent more time trying to enable the automatic change than you would have just manually changing it over your entire ownership of the vehicle. HTH 👍🏻
  20. That probably explains why it doesn’t work.
  21. Nope. That’s just how it operates as default. There is a VCDS change you can make to enable the auto-updating. I’ve never bothered doing it though.

Given that demand is way outstripping supply I’d be stunned if you were able to find any sort of incentive. There may be some but it’ll be difficult to come by.
  23. Not quite sure how we’ve made the leap from Octavia Sportline to V60 T8 but hey ho 🤷🏻‍♂️
  24. There was chat of the 1.5 being in the Monte Carlo. Of course that’s not currently available, in the UK anyway. Not read when it will be either. If you venture into the Mk4 Octavia area, you may remember the Sportline trim that was announced in April. That’s yet to be seen in the UK.
  25. My opinion on this is, unless the wee box also doubled as a charging pad then this offers no advantages over the conventional plug in system. Wireless AA with wireless charging, yep I can see the appeal. Wireless AA but no charging or still having to plug into charge? Don’t see the appeal there.
