  1. You don’t really need/want to be using IronX every weekend wash. It’s for dissolving the iron deposits. Every six months is fine for that, along with the rest of the car.
  2. Are cars with the spec/colour you want really rare to warrant this work? I’d be looking for another car, personally. Not a criticism of you but, every forum I’ve been on over the years seems to be full of people about to buy compromised - in some way - cars and asking about work to make them what they actually want. To me, just look for one that actually meets your expectations. Unless of course it’s something mega rare. Which this isn’t 🤷🏻‍♂️
  3. I’d be investing how difficult it is to remove the vRS badge I think.
  4. Wait. You can’t just plough into things just because technically they shouldn’t be there? Hmm *makes note*
  5. Did I read that correctly? A grand to have an aftermarket heated screen fitted?!?
  6. It requires additional hardware. It’s not just a box tick on a computer.
  7. Find someone local to you with VCDS or OBDeleven and ask them nicely to activate this for you 👍🏻 As for the original question. No, it’s not something I’d pay extra for.
  8. Is that because the first item is set to “0”? That controls the number of stalk pulls before the headlamp washers activate. With it set to “0”, that means it’ll never activate? By default that is “10”, no..? For clarity, I’m using Mk3 knowledge here. Never worked on a Mk4.
  9. Im not convinced that’ll work either. That will essentially give you two drives and the car will only be able to see one of them?
  10. What? The rear window heating has nothing to do with the mirrors. Only the position of the above switch is of any importance.
  11. Heated and folding were an option, yes. Electrically adjustable and heated only were standard.
  12. I’d be stunned if you didn’t have heated mirrors. They were standard equipment on the VRs. https://www.roberteardley.co.uk/brochures/03-01-2018/octavia.pdf
  13. In addition to the above, the build sticker on the boot floor will tell you what it came with from factory. My registration also returns 19” wheel/tyre suggestions. My car came with 18”s though.
  14. That is the OEM spec, yes. Should be a data label on the inside of the fuel flap as well, from memory? Or maybe that’s just pressures.
  15. Is there an option within the infotainment that enables this? Something in my head is saying yes. But if not, VCDS surely to deactivate?
  16. Is there some kind of Octavia club going on in your street?
  17. But oncoming drivers won’t see them? So…
  18. Expensive? Are they. My quick bit of research (Blackcirles) puts them at £120. Which is about the same as GY Eagles 🤷🏻‍♂️
  19. Is it not as simple as adding another function to each foglight? It was on the Mk3.
  20. id have thought better for muscle memory as well? I’ve driven autos and after a few changes just remember where each position is. How does that compare to a switch style setup? I’ve never used one.
  21. Yes, it was certainly possible on the Mk3 to set a delay of up to 2 seconds before the headlight washer activated. I’ve done it myself. Never changed anything on a Mk4 so can’t say how to do it but I’d imagine it’s possible.
  22. Lol, no. No it’s not normal behaviour.
  23. Shame you don’t have an Audi. You could have stuck it on three more times for the Audi rings in the dash 🤷🏻‍♂️
  24. Only for the pre-facelift. The chirp isn’t in the menu for FL cars.
  25. Does it even have this feature?
