I bought a Skoda Fabia 1.6 TDI 2010 model today. DPF warning light has come on.
Just looked deeper and the number on the unit with inlet pipes on if for the pressure switch itself of standard design so it appears that the 90 degree part is just a bracket - with the attachment of the switch via the screw on the LH end. This would suggest that you need to identify the number on the one fitted to your car, check for revisions/official updates with later suffix letters and buy based on that. Once again Winos understanding of wiring may allow an understanding of how the switch works, my theory being that applying pressure on the pre-pdf side would either change resistance across contacts or be a make/break signal.

He may be referring to one like that pictured in the below add - listed for an Audi A1. The letter on the end of that one is E but you should be aware that there may be an updated version with a different letter on the end for your car. Unfortunately 7zap is not helpfull in this instance as the engine codes cannot be cross referanced. It may only be a mount at 90 degrees as the connector appears to be in the same location. 059906051c sensor audi a1 1.6 tdi (105 cv) 0 6r0131552e 950555 | eBay

Dpf issues
Depending on actual engine code, VAG DPF free for Android may give you basic info on your dpf and regen status via a bluetooth OBD2. There is a paid version but the developer suggests using the free version 1st to check compatability.

Immobiliser will not start engine after replacing key fob
Can you not carefully cut the chip out of the old case with a Dremil or similar, leaving it in its existing surrounding plastic and then just glue into the new case as a new key is an expensive option given you appear to have all the components to create a good key assembly in the new case.

Buying a 06 plate 1.9 tdi pd100
Given the price/year I would expect it to be the Elegance model with all the bells/whistles - parking sensors, heated seats, nicer seat trim material.

Immobiliser will not start engine after replacing key fob
Before anything else may be worth putting old fob next to the ignition while using new fob to try starting the car. this will give an indication of possible issue.

Fabia MK1 MOT Advisory - Exhaust Minor Leak
The flexi to solid pipe joint looks to be broke as the end of the flexi pipe is not sat square to the rigid pipe as it would be when welded.

Microswitch for latch
Wino may be the best person to answer this with his understanding of wiring diagrams, but what is the the operational function of this switch - does it send a single signal when locking/unlocking or does it latch in a open or closed position, the action of the lock on the switch may also identify this. Regarding the OP issue, has it been confirmed that there are no broken wires in the the "elephant trunk" between the A post and door, and is the issue just when securing or opening the car, or when driving.

Fabia vRS ECU Swap - What is required?
He wants an un-tuning box as already at stage 1. Restore to standard can be done with EDC15P if you can access a standard map for comparison - download map off ECU with MPPS, load both up in EDC15P and compare the existing map against std parameters then copy these over to a copy of your stage 1 map. You need to fully understand the procedure as it is easy to brick the ECU. Finding a cheap ECU with exactly the same part number would in theory allow you to copy the std map off that, then copy your stage 1 on. This would give you 2 stage 1 mapped ECU's that would run your car with all the parameters - immobiliser etc - and allow the original stage 1 map to be downgraded to standard on the purchase ECU. I have seen mention of dual maps on the ECU, using the CC stalk to switch, but never seen how it is carried out.

Want a replacement for my swing radio, need help
Don't focus too much on car play if you are going for an android unit as these should run GPS etc as a standalone and bluetooth your phone in for calls. I am running a cheap £60 Chinese unit on which I have loaded CoPilot GPS, all the music I want is save to the unit internal memory, and I run Torque. Being cheaper this does not have DAB, but came with a GPS aerial and a rear parking camera that I have not needed to fit as I already have sensors. It has 1Gb of RAM and 16Gb internal storage but most now have more as standard. What I have noticed is that many are advertised as being car play which they may be, but the units OS is Windows CE so adding apps may be a problem compared to Android units. You will probably need adaptor cable and an aerial adaptor with built in booster which are readily available but add to the cost.

Black smoke! Why? :)
If you can find a standard map I understand that it just won't load up and work due to immobiliser issues and equipment configurations, but can be used to compare with the map already on your ECU if you download it, then use EDC15P. Complicated so suggest you identify other possible issue - boost, air filter etc - first, or get professional advice. Could it not have been mapped pre 2018?

Black smoke! Why? :)
As you have Vagcom someone with you should be able to view boost on a laptop in real time to look for leaks, or a bluetooth OBD2 adaptor with Torque on an Android phone or tablet will give viewable boost in real time. Do you know full history and all owners to be sure it has not had a remap as a bad one may give no extra power "pulls as a standard car" but could just create smoke. The screen dump is at tick-over which is why there is no boost registering, but as the revs rise boost shows in real time.

Pop the surround off around the radio (I pushed a small flat blade screwdriver in, just be happy it is moving before applying too much pressure) and you will see the screws holding it in - torx heads - then pull radio out, less than 5 minutes. Ebay code sellers will want the number off the radio itself, main dealer may do it via chassis number as seen through windscreen or available on V5. The sensor should be a block with 2 pipes and an electrical connector going into it somewhere in the engine bay below the scuttle and is a DIY job with the sensors on Ebay quite cheap as you have bought the ELM ODB I suggest you download the free VAG DPF app from the Google store - if that is actually the issue and try it, but you need to ensure it covers your engine code as not all are covered.

Parking Sensors
I have a set off Ebay on my Mk2 hatchback - CISBO REVERSING PARKING SENSOR 4 SENSORS AUDIO BUZZER ALARM CISBO 336-4 U.K. | eBay -which cost about £15 back in 2015. These were fitted when the car was my partners. I now have the car and can say there have only been about 4 or 5 times when they have had issues and in those instances they gave a continuous tone and were OK the next day or were found to be wires corroding where i have broken into the loom behind the tail light - ideally they should be soldered in as the wires are very thin. I have also fitted these on my at the time 2006 Mk1 Fabia estate and a 2010 Polo 6C. I have never removed a bumper using the old coat hanger wire trick when required to add wiring - on the Mk2 there is a rubber flap below the tailgate latch where the wires were brought into the boot. All the wiring is at the rear of the car.

Skoda Fabia 2010 Powerless
As Sepulchrave has said, codes need reading with a fully compatable reader but the following would also assist. Is it a 1.4 or 1.6 TDI as it could be around the change over period. If a 1.4 what model as I understand it the 1, 2 and 3 did not have DPF's while the Greenline has. Has it always had this issue under your ownership, i.e. was it bought with the issue or has it developed during your ownership. Re-mapping will not give more power if the underlying issue is not cured and a DPF remap suggest that the internals of the DPF will be knocked out with the remap just hiding the "modification" from dashboard warning lights. This may lead to an MOT failure if there are signs of tampering with the DPF itself (welds etc). Lack of power could be so many issue such as turbo, how has the garage identified DPF. DPF's can some times be cleaned out if removed from the car as the issue is generally ash produced from the regen procedure blocking, and not soot from combustion. VCDS would allow a review of DPF loading and a forced regen, and if a 1.6 there are apps to allow a review of the DPF status.

What parts are interchangable?
May be worth looking on the 7 Zap Skoda and Audi sites as there are compatabilty overviews in there.

Track rod end issue.
I put a jack under the balljoint (I use the supplied scissor jack under the ballljoint if I have the car on my trolley jack) and apply pressure CAREFULLY which forces the balljoint taper back into the control arm allowing the nut to be slackened off.

Fabia '3' with manual rear windows?
Be very carefull if relying on a HPI check to tell you a cars history. If you search Dodgy Cars on FB there are some quite unbelievable issues found with cars, where HPI reports show no issues/clear. You will find a 09 year Mk2 brochure attached in the post which specifies standard equipment on the various models:- brochure_fabia Jan09.pdf
