  1. @Headphones You are responsible for your safety and everyone else's when driving. If the car is faulty and you know is faulty tell the Dealer Principal at the Dealership you got it from & Skoda UK and get it OFF THE ROAD until fixed. Get Skoda UK to have the car collected and a courtesy car or hire car delivered. If the Dealership are playing at being stupid. Let one of their Staff, maybe the Manager drive your car while you drive the Top Spec Demonstrator they have as a daily drive, or the Sales Execs. Simple as that. or use the systems the car has and drive safely until it is fixed. No point talking about the Insurance and claims if it is you that knows a car is dangerous and yet you choose to drive it.
  2. Put Briskoda at the start of a key word search.
  3. @DieselMonte Are you a member of this group?
  4. Did you try google images? A members pictures from their thread were easy to spot.
  5. @Maxr Welcome. Your Citroen Belingo diesel has a EAT8 Automatic gearbox, a torque converter box, it is not a DSG. Twin Clutch Semi Automatic gearbox. You should maybe try a Petrol with a DSG and see how it performs.
  6. Worth doing the extended before the car is first registered IMO.
  7. They are Trade only. Some must just be a bit lax. But the OP,s brother is a mechanic so that might cover it.
  8. @Kenny R Are you extending the Warranty on it?
  9. @Winston_Woof For many in the UK it will be nice when chargers that are more than 50KW come to near them. If the penalty is £1 a minute after 40 or 50 minutes or £10-£30 penalties then many stop charging anyway and might not even have 85% of a charge. Big battery cars. Is the article from the USA really anything to do with the UK or is that just you being Nostradamus? Tesla already have a penalty for Idling.
  10. They are wonderful. But then the UK NSL & max 70 MPH limit means that they are just a lot of speed and bits and pieces that are available and not much use if driving lawfully in the UK. Speed limiter warnings of 3 different type compulsory from the factory, and now Data Logging so a record of how often turned off, and where. .......... My local Best Driving Road, or part of it. Great to have fun there within the 60 mph limit, if there were not so many around that cannot stay on their side of the road and then those that park over blind crests and on corners. 1 x 50 kW charger in Braemar, sometimes works, 2 in Aboyne & 1 in Tomintoul, or down to Grantown on Spey for a Rapid charge, 50 kW if lucky.
  11. @logiclee Many of the tyres EV,s & Hybrid or PHEV,s come on in the UK are just ridiculous as far as grip / traction on vehicles with lots of BHP or just Torque. EV specific or just crap like Michelin Primacy 4,s. Goodyear Eagle F1,s etc. Truth of the matter is switch these to All Seasons on an EV and the change in the cars efficiency / range is really not much.
  12. The head dude with SSHE at the Myrekirk Road Dundee opening was very nice and helpful as was the technician with him. I asked why no pricing posted or on the chargers, he said tap your card. I said no way if you pull up and care about the prices, especially when there is cheaper chargers near. Post the price clearly. These were 69 pence a kWh, he said they are on Electroverse. Well that was a great answer, so i showed him where they are not on the Elctroverse app, but the Osprey charger @ Starbuck next door is. This is the kind of thing they want feed back on. Well there they were hanging about and charging cars & getting media coverage, did nobody think on checking? Not on ZapMap or PlugShare, but they said they sorted that this morning. We will see how long before they appear then. Too many yes men and woman about, but i like to keep them honest. Tell them as it is not as they were told it is and try to then spin it as. ............ See Foot notes 1 re the 60 miles added in 3 minutes. Then there is the 8 miles a minute, 150 kW chargers. Capable vehicles.
  13. Fiona Hyslop MSP Transport Minister is in a Kia PHEV which was not charging because of it being faulty this morning. They moved it from charging bay when I pointed this out to journalist and photographers. Nice but bays too tight at one side of hub. No price shows in chargers.
  14. Ford are going to have to be First Registering lots of EV,s in the UK, leasing cheap or to fleets / car hirers etc to be meeting 22% registrations of their sales for cars. (Maybe the new Government will address the use of partners allowing them to take the p!ss over how they meet the requirements.) They need to be producing models small and less expensive.
  15. Lots of cars seat height is not that low by the time a seat is right forward for a shorter leg person to use the pedals. Plenty cars suit shorter people, even Corsa,s / Peugeot 208. A Micra. Driving Instructor type cars. A Suzuki Ignis is worth checking out. A Suzuki Jimny is fine for many but the higher entry and exit is not going to suit all.
  16. Another BIG Family / Taxi / Private hire for taking children around in (Yellow Cabs) sized EV for bigger families with small rear passengers maybe, or sales reps / commercial travellers on their own but needing longer range EV,s. Centre screen and how it is for right handed people in right hand drives is really rather important. But the reviewers just ignore mentioning that.
  17. Opening today. ** But cheaper charging pretty nearby with Tesla non Tesla @ the Tesla Superchargers.**
  18. MINI or Fiat 500 if not a Skoda Citigo.Up!Mii.
  19. @tyres123Welcome to the forum. Maybe introduce yourself and tells us where you are, and if you are in the tyre trade. Many here look to putting on the same size All Season tyres as the car comes with OEM unless they are ridiculous sized rims that make the tyre choice limited. Are you in the UK? The linked site that has 'all season tyres' very much then is about Winter or Summer, All Weathers / All Seasons is a term used and Winter Tyres / Snow tyres is something many on here are stopping using in the UK where they are not changing wheels and tyres for Winter.
  20. @Berisford could you say what engine so DSG the Superb has? & the Golf as well, as it will not have ACT.
  21. It is a Black 1395 cc petrol. so must be a manual. @stuartb3502If you want a manual then the Haldex having had services is going to be important. Is it advertised as having a DSG?
  22. OT. But having done 65 miles quickly yesterday but using CC and MID and Green Modes and having 30 miles range left i needed 25 kWh @ 47 pence a kWh and topped up to 100%. ( Once at 55 pence and above it is too much.) My young lad drove the car back as quick as i did if not a bit quicker in Sport and had 35 miles range & it took 20 kWh to charge to 100%. 22 pence a kWh. 130 miles. @ £4.40 Home. £11.75 @ public. = £16.15 Taking a 50 mpg diesel car would have been just over £17. A 50 mph petrol about the same as the electric.
  23. Skoda Fabia Mk2 Monte Carlo 1.2 TSI 105ps in Australia were fitted with 205/55 R 16's but in the EU including the UK mostly 205/40 R 17's the same as the Mk2 vRS. Someplaces in Europe that were not in the EU got the 16".
