Wind Deflectors?
What is good is obvious if you, passengers or animals are sitting a while in the car, maybe when raining, snowing or just sunny and you want a bit of an air gap. Get ones that the postage from the EU is not greater than the price of the items.

Electric Pickup trucks.
But then Dual Use pickup's were another perk for many from the Government /HMRC and never got to building sites or near a track during the working week but maybe during domestic, leisure and pleasure times. These EV Pickup's might well, but first there needs to be available what is being produced. Plenty land owners and businesses that have electricity and hand and cheaply can run an EV. These days there are plenty living and working well away from filling stations and can use a gallon or more getting just to fill up. A Motoring Journalist with a pick up that lives in my area but up a glen was talking about that just last week on the radio with him finding the local independent filling station cheaper than the Super Market one 6 miles further on. Driving a pick up charged from your own electric generated from hydro, solar or wind makes sense, even if the roads are narrow. Looking forward to Harry reviewing on Harry's Farm or Harry's Garage. Electric Pickup trucks.
Work vehicle for real workers maybe, work mates and tools and off up tracks etc where the other traffic is also big. But then that is where there is a market in the UK for AWD pickups and Vans / Crew Vans.

Kodiaq overheating at "random"
@kodiaqsportlineLooking forward to you maybe making posts in the Dealer Review section of the places you use rather than trolling my posts. If the car was in for Service and while under warranty that really was not a 'courtesy coolant change', that is what the Extra Scope is all about and checking things and dealing with them. *A full day of checks is quite a thing for a technician to be doing, many hours of whatever and doing a good few miles of driving.* If the Contaminated Coolant was identified while the car was under the Manufacturers Warranty then it should be straight forward that the OP will not be paying for this diagnosis or repair if it is just to the contamination and they have just run the car with Main Dealer Servicing. The OP will tell us maybe if the Haldex was serviced @ 3 years and the pump was cleaned. That is where my reference to giving a damn comes in.

iV will not shift to e-drive
In the UK things are lost in translation again with Electrification & EV's. 7 kW AC charging is called 'Fast Charging' Even with a 3.6 kWh charging hybrid on one. 11 kW & 22 kW AC is also 'FAST'. DC 50 kW gets call RAPID, & then you get Super Rapid etc.

EV real world range and cost to charge
^^^ From thsat vid. So the MINI Electric gets back with 25% battery left. which is 1/4 is it not? (According to what i listened to.) & 24 miles range. Is 4 times 24 miles not 96 miles? The 5.1 is amazing. if 100% of 29.9 kWh usable was used that would be 152 miles. 111 miles covered plus 24 miles range left would be 135 miles. Honda-e with 5% left. 5% of 28.5 kWh usable =1.4 kWh x 4.3 is 6.1 miles. 4.3 miles per kWh times 28.5 kWh = 122.5 miles. ....................................... ..................... Not a car salesman driving which is a good thing. Not trying to sell EV's to buyers. 18-19*oC and at Motorway speed limit and not above and a true idea of what you will be getting charger to charger & then needing to charge more if you want to continue on further than 90 miles.

Skoda Fabia 2006 just purchased
Welcome. It can only be a Fabia and a Mk1 as they were called a Mk1 once there were Mk2's but not till there were a 2nd generation Fabia but that was in 2007. ? Is there no sticker in the spare tyre well? Maybe post up a picture of the car.

Error service: leave vehicle only when selector in position p
How they are named is not really relevant. It is not Tiptronics or ASG's which are 2 pedal cars that have the issue, just VW Group DSG's be them Wet or Dry Clutch. Known fault, known by them and 2 or 3 years manufacturers warranty should not apply, more like the product being fit for purpose for 6 years.

Advice regarding warranty from dealer
It is the problem with ACT /COD for city cars. They were / are about getting WLTP / RDE2 results. Why VW have had to go mild hybrid with 1.0 and 1.5 TSI,s and some electric motor help for smooth off the line and less fuel use. Or just the tests getting lower emission figures.
-
Advice regarding warranty from dealer
1.5tsi ACT,s do suit a DSG. Or better still there is in other world regions 1.4. TSI,s without ACT and 8 speed autos.

Towbar nose weight for bike rack Superb III 190 2.0 TSI sportline 2020
Lots lighter than 75 kG if not a Thule VeloSpace XT 2 bike carrier like i have fitted and then with 2 e-Bikes fitted. (Superb's show 100-140kG on different sites) (I remove the batteries from the bikes just to lighten the load a little bit, it is a lot of weight suspended hanging out back.) The Towbar Manufacturer & the Retailer should be providing all the information for their product. http://www.pfjones.co.uk/tow-bars/tow-bars-for-skoda/skoda-superb-towbars.html

Kodiaq overheating at "random"
@kodiaqsportlineI am a friend of past customers of West End. I am very familiar with the service or lack of service that some have had. ? Are you recommending them as a good main dealership to use for a diagnosis, repair & servicing being done at?
-
Kodiaq overheating at "random"
@ianjohnston OT. but has your Haldex been serviced yet. If not i would not have West End doing it, use people that give a damn.

Kodiaq overheating at "random"
Welcome. Best ignore the thread about a 1.5 TSI and water pump because that has no relevance to your 2.0TDI. ? Is your Local Dealer West End? Ask if they are a participating dealership and the first 30 minutes of a diagnosis is £60, because that is as long as it should take and if they are doing the repair they can waive that. Or Maybe try http://autohausedinburgh.co.uk and get the job done for a fair price by fully qualified and experienced techs.

VRS mk1 Octavia
Welcome to the forum. Personally i would let the 20 year old low mileage car have a nice easy life going about keeping up with newer cars and even having a bit more go than many.

Error service: leave vehicle only when selector in position p
It is not an issue common to Automatic cars, it is common to VW Group DSG's that are Semi-Automatics. They produce millions or them maybe the percentage with the issue is small but that does not mean the VW Group should just get away with the car buyers being landed with the expense or irritation if a vehicle is out of warranty. In the EU & UK they can get away with anything.

Starting issue
But best test or charge the battery even though it has been 3 weeks in the boot.

What do I replace my Skodiaq with
@chrisluciofgOnly if location location location is right, the charging network and the cost of charging at home or public charging. For some it will be a very compromised car.

DSG service intervals
Wet Clutch DSG's like DQ250 , DQ381's have one oil and that is for the box and the MCU. Twin Dry Clutch DSG's, DQ200's have 2 Oils, in the box and in the MCU. A 1.8TSI if FWD has a DQ200 7 speed Twin Dry Clutch does it not unless a AWD ?

New or improved hubs announced, Government EV Loans in Scotland and free & no longer free public charging places..
A rainy start @ Turnberry. The £10 should be on his bill. (there are 5 x 7 kW in the Staff Car Park.) There is a free 50 kWh CPS charger 0.5 miles away @ Turnbery Lodge Road car park, but it was out of order for the past couple of weeks. The 22 kW AC in Girvan has been broken for 3 months, the single 50 kWh works, only 1 of the 7Kw does and i report it weekly, the Dowhill far 1.5 miles away has a new provider & it is 40 pence a kWh. He misses lots of chargers at villages and towns just off the route by not looking at ZapMap, PlugShare or even the CPS map. A few miles just going off the A9 and then back on and not stopping where he did for a pee at 50 Pence and there was a Rapid charger and food and drinks, same at Aviemore, same at Tomatin near the distillery,

They seem to be the boy, we will see if still in a few years, just location location location and charger availability can be an issue even with a Skoda. Even the A93 / A939 routes and area in Scotland is a PITA where there is 1 Rapid Charger in a town on that route and out of order for days or weeks or you can not check if still out of order or actually back in service. Locals or regulars might have some clue and maybe can slow charge, but day tourists or those travelling in the area can be stuffed. Braemar, Ballater, Aboyne, Alford, Dufftown, Tomintoul sort of areas. Whisky Trail / Snow Roads, fantastic driving routes. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/-cRifFyP3nA http://www.youtube.com/shorts/-cRifFyP3nA
