Probably rainwater out of the longitudinal chassis member under there. It has drain holes which may have been blocked, then not. Or it may have come from higher up, there's an area under the brake fluid reservoir that drains into there, I think.

1K0 927 903 B, I think, but different if the car has 'gas discharge bulb' for some reason. I guess that means xenon headlights? In that case it would be a suffix -J at the end of the same core number. The first of those numbers has been superseded by 1K0 927 903 R, £55 +VAT. Doubt you'll find anything new anywhere other than a Skoda dealer.

Seems to me that this is a relatively rare problem, so scrapyard sourcing may be the (only) economical fix. You should be able to judge candidates for soundness at that point by visual inspection prior to removal.

The 6q1 bit of that part number suggests LHDiness, PM your VIN to me and I can probably look up the right number.

I think we've been here before @J.R. but I don't think there is a bearing between crank and input shaft on the 02T.

Major differences, pre-facelift are CAN, for starters. As per PM, I haven't found a match for what you need, unfortunately. If I think hard about it I may be able to build one out of bits and pieces of others; that has the right chirality and function. The thinking hard bit of that intimidates me a bit though.

Sadly that's a pre-facelift motor module you've acquired, and won't play nicely in your car. You need 6Y2959801. I may have one...

Pass side wiring, annotated Driver's side, not as annotated: The only connection between the two is the LIN data wire which goes from pin 3 of each 8 way to the other, and nowhere else.

Does driver's side window work OK? Part number of unit in pass door? Will add some wiring diags next time I get up and go to the big Internet.

Only the vRS has the bigger M10 ones I think.

Spot on. There will be minor differences between these NBW, LHY etc boxes but all are 0AJ family boxes. If you PM me your VIN I may be able to find some part numbers of the specific bits you're after.

6Y0/6Y1 was discussion about the warning light. 8T0/8Tn (where n is a non-zero numeral) was a broadening of the discussion to include whether the OP's car had CC factory fitted, or retrofitted. I think it's very likely that some countries require such a warning light to make the driver explicitly aware that non-human control is active.
