  1. Technical name of this container is - appropriately - water box. Various parts that it's made up from shown here, item 13, 20, 25 https://skoda.7zap.com/en/cz/yeti/yet/2012-666/8/803-803000/
  2. Some development since this then? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-50004184
  3. I agree, I've not noticed that before. Wonder if they are really the same colours or if it is an error in the diagrams. Not sure about the way it works.
  4. Not sure what that means but this seems important in the context of the trunk button: The module 46 isn't 'seeing' the sustained keypress for the trunk activation, so maybe the algorithm does not interpret that correctly as a result? (Or interprets it as a non-sustained keypress, therefore not requiring action).
  5. It's like this. The blue/red wire comes from fuse 9, which is live any time the fuel pump relay is on.
  6. OK, just tried this on my Polo with original keyfob. For group 14 all buttons result in one of the 0's changing to a 1 for as long as the key is pressed. The last 0 on the right never changes. For group 13, I see slightly different for unlock and lock buttons compared to trunk button Lock/unlock do this (with the 1 in a different place for each in gp14): Trunk button does this: Not too sure why that doesn't show key number 2 same as the other buttons!
  7. Found and measured at 3.1 Ohms. Genuine new speaker.
  8. Freedom memberships give you access to classifieds https://www.briskoda.net/forums/subscriptions/
  9. I guess it's like the third photo in this post of @TMB's I've not seen that arrangement before. hopefully Lee can help (again).
  10. Try looking at this photo, from an ebay ad. Top left is the alternator. Just to the right of that I can see the oil cooler, item 19 from the diagram linked in my first post, so the thermostat housing is just a bit further to the right of that. Access looks likely to be difficult, but possibly easier from below.
  11. Some info towards the bottom of this page that looks relevant: https://workshop-manuals.com/audi/a3_mk2/power_unit/4-cylinder_direct_petrol_injection_engine_(1.8_ltr._2.0_ltr._4-valve_turbo)_mechanics/engine_cooling/parts_of_cooling_system_(on_engine)/removing_and_installing_toothed_belt_for_coolant_pump/
  12. This thread meantions the water pump location, which seems to be very close to the sensor:
  13. Welcome to Briskoda. If, as I suspect, your engine code is CCZA then the coolant temperature sensor is item 6 here, by the looks of it: https://skoda.7zap.com/en/cz/octavia/oct/2010-663/1/121-121017/
  14. I can do the same check on my car tomorrow and confirm that I see the same thing. It seems like the signal from the trunk unlock button is arriving, if something changes at module 46 when you press it. Which of the four digits changes from 0 to 1 when you press that middle button? (so I can check that I see the same change).
  15. Confused by the reference to nuts, and assume when you say left, you mean as seen looking into the engine bay from in front of the car? https://workshop-manuals.com/skoda/fabia-mk1/drive_unit/1.0/37;_1.4/44;_1.4/50_kw_mpi_engine/engine_assycylinder_blockcrankcase/removing_and_installing_engine/assembly_bracket/ So I guess you mean the item 2 bolts in the first diagram?
  16. Check the brake fluid level.
  17. Probably, I have a new one at home I can measure for comparison; if I can find it...
  18. Do you have a multimeter you could use to measure the DC resistance of the winding? It will (should) be a low number of Ohms, so subtract the reading with probes shorted together.
  19. Any corrosion on the connections?
  20. That could be physical damage to the loudspeaker cone. Take the door card off and have a look.
  21. This image is inverted compared to when it is mounted in the car. The red arrow is not relevant here.
  22. All it does it cool the air, that's how it removes the moisture, by condensation. What else do you think it does to the air that might constitute 'conditioning'? The guff about seals drying out if not used constantly is also way out of date, with modern clutchless systems circulating some refrigerant all the time, even when the system is off.
  23. Why another thread? https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/487004-v-power/
