CarPlay from one iPhone, music over bluetooth from another?
I believe you can, though I have never used two iPhones in the scenario you mention. However, what I have done is connect my iPhone via CarPlay and my wife's Phone connects via bluetooth - incoming and outgoing phone calls use the car's mic and speakers. Also, whilst CarPlay is in operation, I can play music from a USB stick. I see no good reason why you couldn't do what you describe.

1.5 TSI (sorry)
As others have mentioned, no kangarooing issues. Yes the anti-stall kicks in at times, and seems to be slightly higher revs when the engine is cold, which understandable. I really like the 1.5 TSI, in mine coupled with the manual 'box. Lively enough when needed and very economical (don't be surprised at nigh on 60mpg on long [legal limit] motorway runs. Should be no issues with the early 2020 models provided the s/ware modules are updated. Infotainment is the most obvious, but also SOS control module - I, and several on here, have had that module replaced and/or s/ware updates for it.

Octavia 4 noise
Welcome to Briskoda and your Octavia 4. The noise doesn’t sound ‘normal’ and I would certainly want to find the cause. From the clip I could not work out if it is linked to engine speed or road speed. If you press the clutch but not engage 2nd gear and let the engine rpm drop does the noise change or stay the same? Might be best on a slight down hill so car speed is maintained. Which engine do you have?

Looks very nice. My kind of colour 👌

Just maybe????
Reminded me of this poster I spotted in Frankley Services (M5 southbound) earlier in the year. Back in the late 70’s I had a 1850cc Dolomite, alas not a Sprint.

Total Miles
In mine, just turn off the ACC and total mileage is shown.

Recommended tyre pressures - are they too high?
I’ve had Michelin Primacy 4 and now Goodyear Efficient Grip. Both quiet (enough). Not driven on P7s though. Not noticed any increase in noise with pressure increase.

Recommended tyre pressures - are they too high?
What tyres do you have?

Recommended tyre pressures - are they too high?
I've been running mine at the pressures indicated on the label under fuel filler flap as @TheWanderer suggests; and adjust according to load (full load is 49psi at the back IIRC) and I have no complaints wrt grip, ride or handling. The original fit tyres lasted over 45k miles with even wear across the tread width. All of which implies that the pressures on the label are perfectly fine.

Wiper blades
I swapped mine last year but the ones on the Bosch configuration were shorter on the drivers side. Found a better Bosch set thanks to this thread

Becoming primary user / Skoda Connect
In the UK it’s usual that to become the main user a main dealer has to verify ownership and they then update the Škoda servers in some way. All to do with the privacy laws as the main user can track the vehicle. I guess a similar process would apply in your country too.

Spare wheel and accessories
It was Meadens in Brockenhurst, Hampshire. They have a branch in Christchurch too.

Spare wheel and accessories
From my searching early last year the main dealer had as good, or better, price than anywhere else - much to my surprise.

70 Plate Octavia How can I switch from MPH to KMPH
Good the hear the MPH/KPH issue is resolved, though again wise to ask for a video to demonstrate it. As for the clock and trip data, at least it is (should) be available on the main Infotainment Screen; there are several ways to configure the displays, and multiple screens can be set up to swipe between. When the VC was replaced in mine (over three years ago now!) I seem to recall the dealer saying the car configuration had to be updated at the Škoda servers end of things before the software could be fully updated. I may be that Richmond didn't do that hence you're not getting the clock. Perhaps worth asking the question. When I saw the VC in newer cars with additional functionality I felt a bit miffed, thinking I want that too - but then it dawned on me it's just like any technology based system. I just installed iOS 18 on my iPhone but some of the new features don't work 'cos my phone is 2 years old 🙄 - but life goes on... Hope you get the car back OK and grow to love it as much as I do mine.

70 Plate Octavia How can I switch from MPH to KMPH
Frustrating, but wise to insist they get it sorted be getting the car back. I have been using Meadens in Brockenhurst - they've been excellent, and incredibly supportive in the early days when Škoda UK and 'the factory' were involved. I'll attach a photo of my System Info in case it's of some help No worries. I was travelling anyway, many hours on the road in the last couple of days.

Driving Data resets
Have you tried looking at the data through the Škoda App? There are two versions My Skoda and My Skoda Essentials - both show the car data but in different forms. One by date/time period (e.g. day, week, month) the other (Essentials) similar to the car (Since Start, Since Refuelling, Long Term). In theory, the latter should show the same as the car. Having said that, I speak as the owner of a petrol model not an IV but I would expect similar views of the data.

Driving Data resets
Welcome to the forums; and pleased to hear you're enjoying your Octavia - I really like mine for comfort, space and efficiency. It usual that the Long Term data is reset automatically after 99 hours or 9999km (or whatever the mile equivalent is); to my knowledge there is no way to change that.

70 Plate Octavia How can I switch from MPH to KMPH
@Ate_a_Croissant welcome to the forums. You may have read my experience in the KPH/MPH thread; my 2020 70 plate SE L FE had these issues early on. After months of diagnosis the VC was replaced and some s/ware updates applied - these gave me the clock in the top centre of the VC and fixed the kph/mph and satnav km/miles issues. I could not and still cannot change the digital speed display between the dials (other than switching to kph when needed). I’m aware later builds have the capability. Your car should be ‘fixable’. Could you post a photo of the System Information screen. I’ll compare with mine. Also, I note you’re in Hampshire. Which dealer do you use?

Update to Version 1969
I think they have. From what I have seen the infotainment system in the FL Octavia is the same (as in it looks the same) as the new mk4 Superb. Would make sense if it is as there would be fewer variants to manage updates for.

They knackered my car... 😢
So good you’ve got your car back and sorted. A real shame that the Škoda brand is [further] tarnished by shoddy workmanship & attitudes of [some of] their dealers. Hopefully the OTA updates won’t screw it up again and you confidence & enjoyment in the car returns.
