Update to Version 1969
I got the 1985 update sent OTA to the car when mine was on 1941 so no need to bother with 1969.

Update to Version 1969
That's the new style Infotainment unit in a facelift not the Infotainment in a mk4. They use different software.

Interior lighting
In the vRS the rear door handle lights only operate when the ignition is on. I just tried mine by unlocking it and getting in the back and they weren’t lit but the rear footwell lights were lit. I then opened the front door and turned the ignition on without starting the engine and the rear handle lights then come on. Mine’s a January 22 registered vRS.

User account problem
I know you say you have it connected to a good wifi signal..... Try turning the eSIM on instead and see if it then allows you to log on when it's using the car's 4G mobile signal instead of your home wifi. I'm sure others have had issues with the car not downloading updates etc.... when connected to wifi but it then worked fine updating when using the eSIM. I've never had mine connected to my home wifi once since having it and never had issues with creating accounts logging on or downloading map and system updates using the car's own eSIM and the car is parked about 6ft away from our wifi router when it's on the drive at home.

Built In Sat-Nav.... Can you submit changes?
I was under the impression it goes on the front camera detecting street lighting at which point it goes to standard dip.... Once street lighting has ended the full matrix lights kick back in again. That's how mine work anyway.

Built In Sat-Nav.... Can you submit changes?
I've signed up and gone to the area in question and it also shows as being a normal road. There is an option to add a new road but nothing to submit a correction saying that what they have as a road has never been one and is just a narrow footpath? ***EDIT*** I think I've done it...... I clicked on that section of what it had as a road and it literally was just the footpath section so I then changed it to a pedestrian walkway and then hit save at the top of the screen and on the map it changed it to a footpath/thin dotted line. Not sure if that then goes through to them as a map update or just stays on the map when I look at it when signed in as me?

Sat-Nav Maps Latest Version?
Unfortunately not. I already have things like that set with it being a vRS it's not willingly going to be driven down gravel tracks etc.... For whatever reason it sees the footpath as a normal road.

NEW: software 1985
No you can update the Radio Database for the DAB station logos yourself..... There's a thread in this section and another in the ICE section giving you the instructions on how to do it. I've updated mine a couple of times this year so as to receive a more up to date list of station logos...... Although some still aren't included.

Radio stations Logos database updates
I pay for the Skoda Connect and Multimedia Connect so receive my map updates OTA every couple of months but I have never received a radio database update. It was only when I updated it myself earlier this year after having the car nearly a year (The car being three years old) that I got a more up to date list of radio logos available. I'd also received a full firmware update (v1985) OTA at the end of last year without getting any updated radio database.

Brake Pedal “Click”?
Just to update everyone..... After a few people mentioned the auto handbrake etc...... (I have the auto hold/auto handbrake disabled) I noticed that it only happens when on a hill when the hill hold control obviously kicks in so it does indeed look to be of a similar nature in that it's only when the car is holding the brakes itself when I release the pedal. Cheers all.

Built In Sat-Nav.... Can you submit changes?
I'm sure with the older VAG sat-nav systems there was a way of submitting changes to the maps so that they could be amended in future updates but is this something that can be done with the current built in sat-nav system? Whenever I set a route from home the built in system wants to use what has for at least the 25 years we've lived here, if not always, been a footpath (in fact it even has a set of steps on it so it's probably always been a footpath since the housing development was built). As soon as i turn right instead of left out of our cul-de-sac the system re-routes and gives the correct route out of the estate (turning left takes you further into the estate but the footpath in question that it thinks is a road and which leads out of the estate is in that direction). I've had a look at the Traffication options for reports but nothing that is relevant is available so wondered if there was a way to report back that the map needs updating to change what it shows as a normal road is actually just a footpath. I've attached a couple of photos of each end of the footpath to show you all what the map creators think is actually a road. :D

Sat-Nav Maps Latest Version?
Seeing as it's my post originally I'm going to put this question out there...... Is there a way to put forward updates for the maps? I say this as whenever i set a route from home the sat-nav always wants me to go down what has as far as i'm aware has always been a footpath including a section which is steps!!!! We've been in the house for 25 years now and it's been a footpath for as long as we've been here hence me saying it's always been a footpath to my knowledge. I always ignore the sat-nav for the first instruction out of our cul-de-sac and it then changes to the route you should take to get out of our area etc.... So is there a way you can send a request to have it updated..... Or is there a way you can add a block to what it thinks is a road? I looked at the Traffication options but nothing for something like this is available in that app.

Octy Mk4 stalling in traffic - MAJOR safety issue
Possibly not the reason in your case but if the driver’s door isn’t properly shut the car won’t release the handbrake either manually or automatically until you’ve properly shut the door.

Octy Mk4 stalling in traffic - MAJOR safety issue
Yep the new stop/start now auto starts when it detects the vehicle in front moving away as well as when you release the footbrake in the DSG or depress the clutch in a manual. Took me a while to realise it was detecting the vehicle in front moving as I just assumed I'd released the foot brake slightly. 😁

Octy Mk4 stalling in traffic - MAJOR safety issue
With a DSG car the stop/start will sometimes kick in when the car is still rolling to a stop rather than when it is fully at a stop (which took me a while to get used to) Not sure how the stop/start works with a newer gen manual car compared to our Fabia which has it but is a 19 plate where the stop/start only kicks in once the car is stood and in neutral and the clutch released. They may still operate the same way I only question this as there are some improvements/changes to the stop/start technology with newer vehicles as for example on our Fabia once it's kicked in the power steering stops working compared to our Octy where the power steering is still operative when the stop/start has kicked in.

Driving Score in MySkoda App
It would be interesting to know if the feature was solely a Skoda thing or if it was/is included in the VW, Audi, Seat, Cupra mobile apps too. If it is used by the other marques have they also pulled it?

Service items at 2 years
Front diff oil at 2 years seems to only be a Skoda thing with the rest of the VAG group saying every 3 years. Just had mine done at the third year along with the brake fluid change. (Neither were done at the 2nd year service before I bought the car).

Radio stations Logos database updates
Not sure that's the issue here.... They are all national stations that I haven't had saved or been added as a favourite etc..... and that have never at any point had any logos to delete anyway. Also... The Infotainment system in the mk4 doesn't have the option to delete logos.... just the option to select either having one or not having one. I assumed that process was for the older units in previous models with the different update process and menu system.

Radio stations Logos database updates
Updated the Infotainment in my '22 vRS to .58 today......... Nothing much changed for the UK..... Biggest omissions IMO still are all the Hits Radio stations and all the Absolute Radio stations still completely missing.... All the small local stations in my area are included though (one of which is new and I'd never even heard of!!!!)
