  1. Been using mine Friday, over the weekend and today without any issues. The last updated bit is telling you when you last opened the app and connected to your car with it.
  2. That works for your home (They’re still put in the pouches at home anyway) but at work the fob isn’t left perfectly still so would keep active without one. Pouch keeps the battery from draining and also someone scanning it from outside my ground floor office.
  3. Would it be worth updating the Infotainment before having it replaced to see if that sorts out the issue?????
  4. For me i've gone with the following........ Faraday pouch for each fob small tray/organiser for under front armrest 128gb USB-C memory stick (for my music not on Apple Music) 20cm Lightning cable for phone next to USB-C sockets Hinged luggage fixing panels for the boot (Bought two packs of two) Skoda felt bag (left in boot to keep small items from going everywhere) *This was a freebie by collecting my daily points on the MySkoda app. Skoda rubbish bin for door pocket (Had a couple in previous car (but they were ivory coloured) so nicked one of the wife's black ones from her Fabia so we just have one in each drivers door now Not an accessory as such but could be classed as sort of???? Full range of colours for the cockpit lighting.
  5. I turned off permissions for vehicle data and everything still works. Having looked again I think the permission is just for them to hold and use your vehicle data for research etc….. not for the day to day use of the app or for your own use of the driving score info. So all’s good to turn that option off. 👍🏼
  6. In a DSG car the stop/start can be manually controlled without having to either permanently disable it or temporarily disable it via the on/off option in-car...... The manual method of control is by the amount of pressure you put on the brake pedal. If you just softly hold the brake pedal the engine will keep running but more pressure on the brake will let the stop/start kick in. I can pretty much decide when to use it every time now without even really thinking about it.
  7. But then you lose all the other vehicle data things like fuel economy, location, sat-nav link etc..... don't you?
  8. My brake pedal will sometimes make a click/clunk sound when releasing it quickly. It’s been in to the dealer three times but they say they can never replicate it. They have the attached video but still can’t replicate it. Anyone any ideas what the issue might be here??? As I say it only occurs if you lift the pedal quickly and after pressing on it quite hard. If you are only gently on the pedal it doesn’t do it or if you gently release it it also doesn’t do it.
  9. Cheers for the confirmation, much appreciated. 👍🏼
  10. I have the Infotainment Online service which obviously includes the auto download of maps for the sat-nav with my MY22 vRS. Since I got the car last year I'd always noticed the maps were always within a couple of months at most of the current date but I noticed yesterday that they are currently from January 25 so not updated for 3 months now. Is this what others have got or have there been updates since and for some reason mine isn't downloading them? One thing that does come to mind is that the Infotainment updated to 1985 in January so I'm hoping it's not linked to that and just that they haven't issued any updates for a few months.
  11. But any software updates should have been done as part of the Approved Used sale before you collected the car in the first place. 👍🏼
  12. I asked ChatGPT to make my vRS look a little sportier and it came up with these two versions. (Things you do when you have a free 5 minutes 😁)
  13. Just checked back on the link above and I still get told "No update could be found for your part number, Please check you have entered the number correctly" I've reported it a few times but still the same. Anyway, Is v1.31.56 still the latest update? Also.... What are other people getting when they enter their InfoTainment part number into the website? Is it saying the same as mine or does it give you details or a link for an update file? And if so how is your part number differing to mine (Image of mine a few posts up).
  14. Choose one from the following….. Sign up to a music streaming service Transfer your music to a memory stick Buy a mk1 Octy instead. 😁 😉 👍
  15. The only thing I can see with that is that it doesn't come with the securing screw that keeps the spare wheel in place in the wheel well (The wheel is obviously smaller than the space it fits into so you can remove it) With the proper kit you get a large bolt with a handle on one end that you screw into the floor of the car to secure the spare wheel. Then you also get a foam insert that fits into the spare wheel and holds your jack, wheel brace, centre cap and wheel nut cover removal tools and locking wheel nut. This also supports the boot floor above it.
  16. Higher spec models have the spec level of the car there….. vRS, SportLine etc…… Here’s mine.
  17. Between the front cup holders and the arm rest you have a small cubby hole that is the perfect size for the fob... The reason being because it's where you are supposed to place the fob whilst driving. 👍 With regard your comment about the pouches defeating the object of KESSY..... You're only supposed to use the pouch when not using the car... I just remove the key from the pouch when i head towards the car then put it back in the pouch when it's locked and I'm walking away from the car..... Their purpose is to stop criminals scanning your fob when you have put them away in a drawer etc.... whilst you are asleep in bed and then just getting in your car and stealing it. But they also mean the fob goes into it's sleep mode and conserves the battery when not in use.
  18. Yes just 3 years in the UK for the original warranty.... When buying it as a Skoda Approved Used car you get up to a year of approved used warranty and roadside assistance/recovery (Depending on how old the vehicle is). Or sometimes there are offers which give you 2 years approved used warranty if you purchase via PCP (which is what I did). So in my instance I bought the car when it was 26 months old via Skoda PCP and received 2 years Approved Used warranty, 2 years roadside assistance and a 2 service service pack. (You can settle the PCP when you want and keep those things) So in reality i got 10 months of the original warranty then 14 months approved used warranty.
  19. Mine came with a thin spacesaver spare and toolkit rather than a full size wheel. Before you buy from the dealer though I'd suggest getting the part number then having a look on eBay. I did this for my previous Superb and our current Fabia which both came with inflation kits. I picked up the correct spare wheel kits in both instances for around £60-80 (I'm afraid my memory can't get any more specific than that) with both of them having been taken out of cars that were being traded in and not having been used. We live in Sheffield and I travelled down to Bedford for the Superb kit and Spalding in Lincolnshire for the Fabia kit so even with fuel factored in they were both still under the £100 mark.
  20. Some more info on this that i've managed to glean from when i collected mine today..... I was chatting to the service guy on the desk who i usually see and have a chat with and he confirmed that their bulletin system does now say that this DSG Software update has been pulled by Skoda UK after 2 days (It was released on the 25th) due to "Technical issues with the update". He confirmed that this would have been the update mine was also due to received so it looks like i've had a lucky escape myself as if the car had been in the day before I too would have had a dead car. With regard to what the OP said regarding his dealership waiting for Skoda UK to authorise a re-install/rollback. The chap I spoke to said that they will be seeing if it can be ascertained what is causing the bug and if it is a quick rewrite and send back out or if a longer investigation is required and therefore a case of having to downgrade the DSG software back to its previous state.... In that instance it will be a case of the car being connected up to the dealerships diagnostic tools whilst the tech boffins at the factory in Czechia access it remotely and carry out the downgrade..... Hence the dealership awaiting the way forward from Skoda UK.
  21. Quick update..... I spoke with them about it when i collected it. It's not a big leak (no drips etc....) but looks like a small amount of oil seeping from somewhere. I raised my concerns about it and the age of the car and about warranty. It is obviously just out of it's original 3 year warranty but still has another year of approved used warranty remaining till April next year. From what they said if it's something as simple as a seal that has gone, (And relatively low cost repair), then the approved used warranty wouldn't cover that but if it was something more serious and they had to carry out extensive work then that would be covered under the warranty. So he summarized it as it should either a small cost job for me to pay for or a big expensive job for them to pay for. It's booked back in in a couple of weeks to have it looked into fully.
  22. My car has been in for its 3rd year service at the dealers today and they have highlighted an oil leak on the DSG. They are going to do a provisional check/investigation today with a view too seeing what looks to be the cause and a plan for repair. I’m rather concerned that at 3 years old and 20k miles this leak is there. Is this something that could be a warranty claim or is it just something that can happen occasionally even at this youngish age?
  23. From what the OP had said this is a software update for a module in the car rather than the OTA infotainment update that you seem to be describing yourself. I can add to this topic in that mine was booked in today for its service and when I dropped it off yesterday afternoon they said that since I booked it in a couple of weeks ago they now had a software update showing for the DSG and that they would do it whilst it was in with them. I then saw this post last night and contacted them this morning to say I didn’t want the update doing in case it was this same update and when they looked the update had gone and was no longer showing against my vehicle and after discussing with them they also think that Skoda UK have pulled the update as per the OPs info from his dealer hence it no longer showing as being available or required for my car.
  24. Certainly some that don't come with a mode button..... Quick Google found this image.
