On iOS it doesn’t work like that. They send you an invite to install the software via the Apple TestFlight app. Not sure about Android but I’m assuming it’s done a similar way.

interesting...... So if it is a software issue as Skoda are saying then it must be only affecting systems that are connecting to a certain handset or iOS version....... Or as FG says could it be the cabling between the socket and the HU that is at fault depending on what quality of cables the current batch are when they are installed in the car in the factory? It certainly doesn't seem as simple as first suggested and may explain why it's taking them so long to try and rectify.

yes could well be the cabling from the USB socket to the HU.

You need to adjust the volume as the voice is talking. So get the system to say something that you are having difficulting hearing and while it is talking just roll the volume roller up on the steering wheel controls. This is the same as when you are using the handsfree or sat-nav via CarPlay etc....

Our 19 plate Colour Edition came with the ice scraper. It's a lime green / luminous yellow colour.

I know Skoda have admitted that they have an issue with Apple CarPlay that they are dealing with but if that is the case why isn't it affecting all models or all models with a specific HU? Just out of interest here..... Do you guys that have the stutter issue have the Amundsen or the Radio Swing Plus. Our colour edition has the Swing Plus and as I've mentioned earlier doesn't have the stutter issue when using an iPhone 8 Plus and an iPhone SE both running iOS 13.3.1 If you guys are also using the Swing Plus and get the issue then to me it proves it can't be the software (Unless it is a software issue that only affects certain handsets or iOS versions) and could indeed be a HU issue. The only other issue that could cause it is the cable being used. (I have used an Anker 30cm lightning cable). Maybe this is something you guys could go back to Skoda with..... Pointing out that others are not having the issues at all so is not a universal fault/issue at all.

Daft question but have you put any glasses in the sunglasses storage box????? I could hear a rattle for days in ours when we first got it and couldn't work out where it was coming from. I was ready to book it in to be looked at when i realised the Mrs had put some sunglasses in the sunglasses holder and it was the glasses that were rattling inside. A quick re position of them and the noise stopped.

I thought the phone had to be unlocked for it to connect. So either unlock it then connect the cable or If you connect the cable with the phone locked you need to just unlock it then it'll connect. Or it could also be a dodgy cable.

Very strangely another instance of using CarPlay without any stuttering again today. Again it was using my iPhone 8 Plus and was again listening to music that was already downloaded to the phone on Apple Music. Is this what others are using when getting the stuttering? I.e. listening to music already downloaded to the phone via Apple Music rather than streaming to the phone via Apple Music? This is now the last two times i've not had any issues and both times it's been when listening to albums i'd already downloaded to my phone rather than streaming music on Apple Music which is when i've had stuttering before. (The same Anker 30cm lightning cable has been in use since getting the car). And it's a Radio Swing Plus rather than the optional Amunsden. Other than that i'm not sure why ours has stopped stuttering???

Strangely I used CarPlay for the first time in ages yesterday with my iPhone 8 Plus and I didn’t notice any stuttering when playing music via Apple Music during the half an hour or so I was using it. I'd try a couple of ferrite cores on the power cable to the camera as a first attempt. They can be had for about 50p each. I put one at each end of my dashcam power lead the other week after replacing my failed Columbus unit in my Superb with a newer unit that had DAB as well as FM/AM. Went from pretty much no DAB stations to everything available.

Another satisfied customer here..... The Rev.A Columbus in my Superb locked up last Monday and after PMing him on here Andy helped me via PM initially to ascertain that it was the main board that had gone. So, after confirming he had a unit available to purchase, a couple of days later on the Friday I had a trip up to visit him and in no time at all the old faulty Columbus was out of the car and a lot newer Rev.N SSD / DAB unit was installed and coded in to the car. As the existing unit was only FM/AM he also ran the new DAB antenna in for me behind the dashboard and up the 'A' pillar ready for me to fix into place once I had decided where to position it. After saying my thank-you's and goodbye's I pulled over in a lay-by just down the road from Andy to set the new unit up as the old unit had been before then heading back down the A1 and whilst i was parked up I received a call from Andy telling me he had just driven past and asking if everything was OK and if i needed any help. Now that's what i call service!!!!!! 👍👍👍 I can safely say I'd have no hesitation in recommending Andy and his excellent service and assistance. Thanks again. 👍

Me and the mrs don't reckon this years Sprout one's are as nice as last years..... I'm assuming Walkers have tinkered with the flavouring but defo not the same as they were.

Just checked and our Panny TV will be fine and its coming up to 3 years old now..... The Netflix support site says the Panny 4k HDR range are all still going to have access to the full HDR catalogue as now...... To be fair I usually plan on replacing the TV every 5 years or so anyway so not really a concern for myself.

No idea on price I’m afraid. From memory it’s just a case of the controls on that side being removed from the steering wheel and the new ones fitted. The steering wheel shouldn’t have to be removed. Mine was done by the dealer while I waited if I remember correctly.

Sounds like a faulty roller. I had a faulty scroll wheel in my Superb but with mine it was scrolling OK but wasn't doing anything when you pressed the roller in to select. I'd say it'll be a quick replacement of the right hand side controls under warranty (If you're still in warranty).

I could hear a rattle when driving the mrs' new Fabia the other month I was gutted as it had only done a few hundred miles at the time...... I kept trying to make out where it was coming from and thought it was from the dash area near the glovebox. After ages trying to find what it was I finally found it........... Her sunglasses in the glasses holder next to the interior light!!!!!!! Turns out if you put them in in a certain way they rattle.... Turn them over and no rattle.

Yep it’s normal...... better than in the Citigo the wife has just come from though. They are noisy going 1->2, 2->3 and sometimes 3->4. 😲

Came in at over a grand. Hence done through insurance. Took them four days to complete the work.

Cheers all...... after more frustrating time trying to talk to Microsoft about what I wanted then to do without success I just gave it up as a bad job and paid the extra £8 and bought a normal Office 365 Personal subscription and used the account I have setup on the laptop and with my xbox. I just couldn’t be arsed to waste any more time and effort trying to get Microsoft to understand what I wanted. Mental note...... Microsoft Support are absolute ****e!!!!!

Looks like I'm stuffed..... If I try and log on to the HUP with the Microsoft account that I now use it says I'm already enrolled with another account, (Obviously the old account I entered accidently), If I then log in to HUP with the older account that I accidently used to link it to HUP it shows me the discounts etc but there doesn't seem to be a way to un-associate this old personal account with HUP and associate the correct account to it. I've had a quick search online and found someone else who posted on the Microsoft help boards with the same issue and Microsoft were of no help to them at all just saying they needed to speak to their employer to get the correct work e-mail...... This is what Microsoft told me earlier today even after telling them four times that the issue was that I had accidently associated the incorrect personal Microsoft account to the HUP after the work e-mail had been confirmed / approved and was nothing to do with the work e-mail I had entered to check if I was eligible for HUP in the first place. I'm thinking I may have thrown my chance of using the HUP discount down the pan by entering the old account by accident and will have to just purchase Office365 without the HUP discount for a tenner a year more (Through Amazon rather than direct with Microsoft). ***EDIT*** Although an option I can think of would be to stop using my new Microsoft account when logging on to the laptop and to just log on to the laptop with the old Microsoft account all the time instead. Being new to Windows 10 though would this mess up anything with me having been using the new Microsoft account when Windows 10 activated on the laptop???? Basically on the laptop I would create a new login with the old Microsoft account then delete/remove the login I originally set the laptop up with that uses the new Microsoft account and keep the laptop as a standalone device separate from my Microsoft account that has the Xbox on it etc....
