Hifi of Yesteryear vs Today's effort!
Well the sellotape hack lasted 4 months but it gave up again earlier this week. 10 minutes today and it's up and running again with a new ribbon cable from laser head to circuit board 😀

Retrieving Radio Code
Hi Ryan... Didn't you want a head unit to work with a CD changer? If so I'm pretty certain an ms202 won't as we had one in our estate and I changed it to a symphony out of an Octavia so we could use a changer

Flashing LED lights
I don't have Vcds and don't have an Octavia any more but did have the bulb check function turned off when I did so it should be possible. I don't think load resistors will work as your not getting bulb out warnings so there may already be some within the Led module. For info are the LEDs any good as I've heard bad reports on the light spreadand focus for them and only ever fitted HIDs to our old Octavia which were great.

Flashing LED lights
That's the bulb check function of the control module operating to check the bulbs (if they were halogen) are OK and intact. Either ignore it or get someone with vcds to turn the function off.

Anyone else ordered a new Kodiaq?
Very nice - there's a velvet red sportline up the road from my mums house and I always think it's a great colour!

Kodiaq Offline (red globe in Infotainment)?
Forgotten I'd asked about this- we don't have a separate sim - it's built-in but the glove has been 'red' for a week or so now. I've never used or paid for Connect as, for an SE, I'm not sure it provides any real benefit so I'll sit tight and see what happens. Thanks

What have you done to your Superb III today?
This is interesting as I was looking at the Racechip website yesterday for our Kodiaq - only a 1.4tsi so a different kettle of fish but I'd be interested in your feedback over time.

1990 Honda Beat... Uh?
AZ1s seem to go for about £15k now but not sure about Beats? The green del sol I saw was, a, really bright metallic green... Mamba green or something...

1990 Honda Beat... Uh?
Haven't seen a Beat in ages .. and it's in the best colour! I remember these, the Cappuccino and was it the AZ1 all came out about the same time?

1.4TSI ACT Servicing
Both above posts are valid points... Not sure what I was thinking earlier... For what the cost will be l may as well get both done.

1.4TSI ACT Servicing
Ok this will probably stir up a whole load of comments but... Our Kodiaq (2018 1.4TSI 150 4x4 manual) has just flagged the need for an oil change and inspection service as it's 12 months since the last one and about 11months since we bought it. However, this seems to be because it's been set to fixed servicing rather than variable as it's only done about 5,000 miles, mostly long runs since the last service (we use the Swift round town for obvious reasons) and is now on 22k miles. The Haldex had an oil change at the last service (but no filter clean from what I can make out) and the brake fluid was done at the same time and previous services seem to be in line with the Skoda guidance. Given the above I'm debating just getting the Haldex done properly at and independant and potentially the engine oil and filter but leaving everything else (spark plugs etc.) for now given the mileage. The cambelt is, I understand, a 'lifetime' belt so in theory good for 120,000 miles, inspect from 60,000 onwards. So... general thoughts - haldex and engine oil or haldex only and just reset the service reminder?

Kodiaq Offline (red globe in Infotainment)?
Just wondering if anyone else's Kodiaq is currently 'offline' and showing a red globe at the top of the infotainment screen? It doesn't affect us too much as, having an SE, we have a Bolero infotainment system that doesn't really benefit from being online - it's just the red globe that annoys me. Cheers

Add on engine tuning
Probably a good thing for the environment and us then really?
