  1. You really do have no idea whatsoever how many people live do you... You are clearly well off and typify the well off socialist... One without a clue, but with a lot to say about stuff they have no experience of...
  2. Good god. If she's driving less than a mile to work she should be walking or biking. To do otherwise is downright lazy unless she has a disability that prevents walking.
  3. I second the electrical tape suggestion above. It's a quick fix that, if applied when dry works well.
  4. hmmm... I may have just wasted £30 then... ah well we live and learn.
  5. Just looked at the Ottocast Mini Cube 3 - it's on offer at the moment and looks like it could be a very neat solution for basic Wireless AA. I think I may take a punt on it
  6. That's a fair point. All I would say is that in my experience the older installations like you have seen to be much better than the ones in newer models.
  7. Leave it alone until it stops getting cold and that's the sign it needs gassing
  8. That's a Chinese Great Wall Haval H6...
  9. In my case it would be from the phone but mines always on anyway Thanks... So second edition would probably be ok too.
  10. Afternoon all, Just wondering if anyone has recommendations for a Wireless Android Auto dongle that works reliably with a 2018 Kodiaq SE with Bolero? I've seen the two below suggested for the Octavia Mk3 which will probably work fine but figured it would be good to check what, if anything, people's experiences are with a Kodiaq. 11. On our mk 1 it wasn't a bumper off job to change the pump as it can be accessed from the wheel arch by removing the wheel arch liner, so I'd be surprised if a MK2 was any different given they are largely similar in terms of chassis and arrangement of parts. The pump spins in opposite directions for front and back washers and has a valve on the outlet to direct the flow. That valve can get clogged up with muck and gunk if screen wash jellies up over time but can be cleaned up. It can also leak. As a starting point if its working I'd trying refilling the washer bottle with very hot water and running that through it to see if it will clear in case it is gummed up.
  12. She was absolutely clueless in that interview and once again looked like a scared rabbit in headlights
  13. Bloody hell... They can't even get the dates right... That consultation says it closes in March 2025!!!... I assume they meant to say 2026.
  14. Quite a lot of PHEVS have PTC cabin heaters so don't need to fire up the ICE to provide heat... Even my old Honda Civic diesel had one due to its thermal efficiency.
  15. I've been thinking range extenders with a decent BEV range are the way forward for a long time... better still if the ICE element is highly efficient and small capacity
  16. I don't think any of that will bother them - they'll just base it on odometer mileage change - but having said that I doubt Rachel from Accounts has actually thought through the 'how' side of things...
  17. Or alternatively it could be viewed as 'buy an EV and contribute a small amount in a similar way to per fuel duty' 😀
  18. And some people wonder why others have anxiety about EVs... Stories like this put people off having an EVs as they seem so much hassle compared to dumping a tankful of fuel in an ICE.
  19. With all those different errors it sounds more like a battery issue to me - have you had the battery checked and load tested as they are quite sensitive to batteries starting to fail.
  20. I'm only a few miles from Ladybower and Howden and it's tanking it down again so fingers crossed eh? Attached is one taken there from earlier this year... The water should be visible in the background but it was too low given the drought
  21. Just for reference I've been running Falken tyres for the last 5 years or so with no issues at all on both the Kodiaq and the Swift. I'd have had them again on the Kodiaq but spotted a good deal on Goodyear Vector 4 Season this week so am trying them instead. I'll be using Falken again in the future though and also probably Vredestein as I ran them for nearly 10 years on our old Octavia and Civic.
  22. There is... We had it enabled on our old MK2. The original poster simply needs to remove the new wiring that has been added and get the car coded properly by someone that knows what they are doing
  23. Hi @Graham Butcher I think I know what you mean - the flat 'plate' end of the handle that fastens to the door card has come away from the rest of the handle? If so, then it looks like there are various internal reinforcing 'webs' within the hand section - as shown in the photos. My approach would therefore be to make up an addition L-shaped plate to fit inside the handle section, one leg of which could be attached to those webs within the handle section and the other to the flat 'plate' end that has come away. The approach taken on the pdf document can then be used to re-affix the handle to the card.
  24. Kodiaq door handle.pdfAs far as I know it's 9nly available as a full door card but is an easy fix... If you remove the top of the handle and the card from the door a small nut, bolt and washer will do the job... https://www.kodiaqforums.co.uk/threads/broken-handle.4109/#post-33938
  25. They loo like Lapwings of soe sort or other - but I'd expect them to have darker plumage...
