  1. You will need to get underside to check it out. But this might help...... These have a small ball joint either end & can sometimes give a rattle like noise. www.youtube.com/watch?v=5aq59j-B6Po Or Top Suspension mounts. www.youtube.com/watch?v=9MClb8USuvs Of course it might not be any of these, but could be the sleeping policeman you ran over...😉
  2. In my opinion, I would say the surface of the disc pads are rather poorly pitted. Mostly due to age. I would replace the pads. Remove disc & clean up both surfaces with some emery cloth round a wood block to keep it flat. Picture of disc would be nice. Copper slip all contact points of the metal part of pads, particularly where the pad slides in the carrier.
  3. Just a tad behind him-CarloDiesel a little bit older.
  4. So in LIGHT of your info, are you returning the ebay bulbs & fitting new projectors???
  5. Sounds like it could well be an injector problem.??? Can you test out each injector?
  6. For your information...Thought this might be interesting for Skoda Owners Some common water pump faults across a range of VW/Skoda/Audi makes and models. Models Various Audi, SEAT, Škoda and Volkswagen models with 1.6 & 2.0 TDi engines. Fault The engine is overheating, the coolant temperature gauge reads over 110°C and the interior heater is performing poorly. Additionally, cooling system fault codes may be logged in the engine control unit (ECU). Cause The water pump fitted to these vehicles has an ECU-controlled collar, which interrupts the coolant flow to make the engine more thermally-efficient. However, the control collar can seize, or the plastic impeller can break-up or come away from the shaft. Solution Ensure the engine is cool, then remove the coolant-filler cap. Remove the small pipe to the coolant header tank and hold this over the filler neck of the header tank. There should be a small trickle of coolant flowing with the engine at idle, and this should increase in flow upon increasing the engine speed. If the flow rate does not increase, this would suggest a faulty water pump. Replace the defective water pump with febi 180948, which features an improved control-collar design; this has been thoroughly tested to eliminate the potential failure of the original water pump. The solenoid valve must be removed from the old original pump and fitted to the new pump, including new seals, which are provided in the kit. Fill the cooling system with the correct coolant, then vacuum bleed the cooling system.
  7. Go for it. Might get some Guys on here crawl out of the woodwork..... In 1963. 8. Here's a picture of a coupe with a tow bar fitted on the wrong end of the car.

  10. Volvo 740 Riley 1.5 MG Magnet Done loads of miles in those cars with no problems. I did like my Bond too. No reverse gear, drove it on a motorcycle licence. Wish I still had it. Those were the days.
  11. Yes oldstan, dash cams are a great idea. We have both front & rear cams. Wired my rear one into the wiper + circuit, so only comes on when ignition on. Got a couple of Viofo's. 55andlosingit Best of luck with your claim.
  12. Try this. www.youtube.com/watch?v=5RD9V6wPD4k
  13. Its under the roof lining, on the top right of roof trim as you open the tailgate. You will need to remove side trims and lower roof lining on the right. Well that's where my on is. I haven't removed mine as my buzzer is working fine.
  14. Could be the Buzzer not working. Somewhere in the rear of the car in the roof. (I think anyway) On the top right of roof trim as you open the tailgate.
  15. My sentiments exactly Keith. I have had a couple of differences with the service adviser at my local dealers, and non of it over the past years that I've had Skoda's has been good. From a doggy Fabia monte carlo to two Yeti's. I now will not use them, as anyway I do all my service work out of warranty. The last straw was over the Radio/Satnav problems. They just didn't want to know. Nor did Skoda. We have been thinking of a new car for almost three years now, as our mileage had dropped right off. I was slightly tempted by the new 2024 T-Cross, but there is such a bad cloud over VW in general, it looks like now another make.
  16. Just for now Keith, why not fit a new Touch Screen Digitizer For VW Skoda MIB2 MIB STD2 Radio Multimedia Navi 6.5'' eBay item number:384454830977 £23.40 With radio removed it's just an easy 30 minute job. At least you will get a few months more out of it.
  17. In My opinion, from new five years should be ok. Thereafter, every three years. The gas inside the system also acts as a lubricant. So keeping the system charged and checked is advisable. If you use the A/c a lot, then maybe every two years. Find an independent air con service agent, should be cheaper than dealers. This is my opinion, others may have their way of doing things. PS. Don't forget the cabin filter. I check my own every year, replace a necessary.
  18. Jack one wheel up at a time. Just hand spin the wheel and watch the tyre tread edges as it goes round. What you will be looking for is a distortion in the tyre. Highly likely. If you run the car at about 10-15mph coasting in neutral, does it do it then?
  19. What's the difference between a second hand one and a new one price wise??.
  20. So you have stuck with VW? Well for some reason I was looking at the new 2023 VW T-Cross. I've not been too enamoured with VW/Skoda lately, what with a dealer who's not on the side of the customer, and a fuel gauge that's started to play up again after a new one was fitted 2.5 years ago under warranty. So I don't hold out much hope in getting it replaced again.... Sadly I really can't find another Yeti. Had two of them and would have another one. So the hunt goes on for a new Yeti like vehicle.
  21. Can I advertise a Motorbike for sale???
  22. So tell us, what's your new form of transport??
  23. romin, has your Yeti had the diesel gate mods done to it?
  24. The fact that if you have a flat battery, the handbrake won't even come off. Ps. Later type cars will not let you use the -negative terminal for jump starting. You need to go to a part of the engine or chassis.
