  1. When we have filled up, it seems to take ages for the fuel gauge to show its taken any out. Sometimes it takes 90+ miles to show any movement.
  2. Just used the Ad-Blue bottle to fill up with. Easy job with the special bottle.
  3. Prezafab, with parking sensors and three mirrors do you really need it. Unless of course you find yourself in very strange places? 😀
  4. oldstan, the GR is supposed to be a sport suspension, but to me was the same as the Excel model with 17" wheels. Driving you wouldn't notice it was on 18". I went through carwow and got reasonable offers from around the country, but the dealer stepped up to a price I couldn't find anywhere else. Carfile was more expensive.
  5. We were car shopping the other day. After 3 years of looking the Yaris Cross was short listed from 5 other models. Test drove the Yaris and was more than happy with ride (18") wheels as the suspension moped up the road irregularities very well. We drove the car back to our house and then returned to the dealers. Both of us said this is the car. The seats were most impressive. The ease to drive was fantastic. Even the handbrake puts itself on when stopped. Anyway, what really clenched the deal was a fantastic price along with a 10 year warranty. Subject to dealer servicing. So the GR Sport is now ordered. Only extra was the Safety pack, which includes F&R sensors and camera. The Yeti will soon be up for sale. After owning from new and under 30,000 miles. MOT & service will be done in late February.
  6. Sorry to disagree here Graham. If you are the unlucky mechanic doing the job and its failed on you, no matter how careful you are, it still happens. I personally have used them many times in the past. Also a Helicoil is not a temp solution. If used & installed properly they can outlast the life of the car. Now, if it was over tightened by the last guy doing the oil change, the next guy to do it, will have no idea until he does it.
  7. Ben, you don't mention where you are, but if in the UK, look up Sump Pan on ebay. Type in the car details. Or try here first. Parts In Motion - Online Car Service And Repair Part Unit 12, Norman Court, Budlake Rd, Marsh Barton, Exeter EX2 8PY · 37 mi 01392 719805 Don't forget to give them a call to make sure you get the right part. Looks like there could be either Metal or Ally sumps. Add more information
  8. For £60 a pair of shocks & £38 a pair of springs, why bother with breakers?? Is it worth putting second hand parts on.?
  9. As you have an EFB already on the car with a 59ah battery, the ABS site offers a choice of two. See here. www.advancedbatterysupplies.co.uk/agm-batteries/ And the 096 EFB & AGM recommended are both 75ah. Both are the same size. You can also type in your reg number on the main page and it will give you the correct type.
  10. YetiM This could well be the problem you are having... www.uk.trustpilot.com/review/vag-tec.com?stars=1&stars=2
  11. Try sending them an email with the pictures. See if they can come up with something.
  12. Chris, just a quick thought. Did they change the clutch slave cylinder? If they didn't, try bleeding the clutch, see if that makes any difference.
  13. Try Here Chris. www.kopacek.com/yeti/ If all else fails, send a picture to nearest scrapyard dealers.
  14. This could well be a faulty spark plug or leads.
  15. Sounds like you need to have a full diagnostic test done. Try and find all fault codes.
  16. If someone has already looked underneath.. We presume they have checked all mounting points, suspension fitting points etc., with at least a lever bar. Drive shafts for any undue play. Have you had any wheels off? Anything in the boot rolling about? Quote "and have booked it in with a wobbly ramp". Well I have worked on 4 arm ramps and four post wheel free ramps, but I have never heard of wobbly ramps.
  17. It's a Golf Ball rolling around the cabin. 🤣
  18. Easy job to do Prezafab. Pictures available if you need them.👍
  19. If anyone is interested, I have just cured mine. Rear discs off, cleaned up & refitted. Pads cleaned off & assembled up with Mintex Cera Tec & refitted pads. Still original discs & pads. The wetter weather seemed to exasperate the problem with the noise.
  20. It's worth checking the inside face of the disc. The outside face you can see through the wheel spokes, but inside face no. If you have a rough inside face, then that can be the problem, as the pad will also be rough.
  21. I still keep asking myself, why do I want to change? Just holding back from a new car till after the budget & new year. But, more than likely going to go for a Yaris Cross, or maybe a Vitara. But I think Suz now have dropped the auto? Need to return to auto and what with cutting down the mileage drastically. We have never kept a car this long, max has always been 3 yrs.. Plus, just need a change while we can.
  22. Just over 200 miles at the weekend 62.7mpg. But as Prezafab says, lots of motorway roadworks. 2.0 TDi 110
  23. First thought was timing chain. Also check to see if it's coming from the alternator. Engine off. To the left of the oil filter, the drive belt runs the alternator, check pulley & check for movement.
  24. Interesting, can you give us a link to that?
  25. How old is your battery? If you have a volt meter time to test it out.
