  1. Have you checked that is not just a blocked drain pipe?? Two years ago is not a good job then, as it hasn't lasted to well. Is it worth a nicely worded letter to Skoda? You could at least say it will be the last one. 😞

  4. It looks like you could well have a leaking Injector. Supplying way too much fuel all the time. Get yourself to a Diesel specialist.
  5. I wonder why it always seems No.2 Injector problems on VW group cars. I replace an Injector No 2 on a VW golf last year (1,6D) & most of Golfs seem to have problems there. 🤔
  6. Not normally, but after all you have said, I would have the timing at least checked out. That way it eliminates that as a problem. You have checked that you have no brake binding anywhere? On our 2Ltr, we never drive under 1500rpm, it doesn't like it. (apart from crawling along) I would also suggest you speak to a re-map specialist. Last long run750 miles from memory was 60mpg. (but my memory is shot) 🤣 (If I recall, the VW fix... on the 1.6D they replaced the injectors & air flow meter....)
  7. There is a fuel return hose on the fuel filter. With the engine idling use a small can to catch what comes out. At idle there should be fuel wanting to return to the tank. Just check you have that. If you don't have that, its possible your fuel is freezing. Worth a check.
  8. Talking of batteries & the replacement of. Has anyone bothered to purchase a Memory keep alive system OBD ? If so which one did you get?
  9. Just thinking on this. Have you tried looking at the Aerial connector plug in the roof. Some Yeti's suffered from this fault in the aerial lead itself and suffered loss of DAB. Your Octavia maybe different to the Yeti, but still check connections from wherever your aerial is located.
  10. Could be something simple, like a bad bulb or a bad earth. Try replacing the bulb. Check the earth wire is secure as well inside the light fitting.

  12. Urrell, I think he said GREY. ☺️
  13. My Yeti was a March 2017 OUTDOOR SE Drive 2Ltr SCR Diesel. Matterhorn alloy wheels Heated front screen Heated front seats Front and rear parking sensors Cloth trim seats black with diamond shape pattern in the seats, with white stitching. Sat Nav But no led daytime lights or main lights.
  14. You could try changing the oil to a little heavier grade & see if that changes anything. Or try chucking in a can of STP, you have nothing to loose either way. At that mileage it could also be the valve lifters as they are oil fed.
  15. But are they sure? Before you go ahead with any suggestions, always have a back up agreement with the dealer. If any item they suggest isn't the answer, you need it removing, & not paying for it. They are supposed to be able to diagnose correctly, not guess. Could always try a second hand part from breakers????
  16. You can check here.. Which Oil Do You Need? Miller Oils (millersoils.co.uk) But I would be ok with that seeing you already have it. Don't forget the oil filter as well.
  17. I removed a Golf injector couple of months back & found, cleaning up the area with brake cleaner first. Sprayed some WD40 round the shaft of the injector. Spanner onto the hex part & gently kept moving back & forth. Started moving & lifted both 1 & 2 injectors. Thorough clean up of injector hole & replaced. 1 hour job.
  18. So what is the Suzuki like compared to the Yeti.??
  19. Then you have a Fuel Pump problem.
  20. Might help if you put some fuel in the tank.
  21. Glencraig, what did the dealer offer you against trade in for the new Koraq??
  22. When I had my 2014 1.6 Greenline I was getting on long runs well over 50/55mpg. Up to 40mpg on shortish runs. I found it very economical. I never had the VW remap change done. But what I had noticed with the new generation of Diesels is, you have to drive them like they are petrol engines. So, don't change up too early. My wife still pulls away & into second before 15mph. No good, you really need to make the engine work. With the 2Lt having a bit more power can cope with that, but it's not good. Try it driving up through the revs more.
  23. Has it ever had a new Cam Belt fitted??? When was the Fuel Filter last changed??
  24. Initially that sounded like a belt had frayed & part of the belt is slapping on its cover as its rotating. Very difficult to diagnose that from the video.
