Never been the case with VW finance. If you get, Deposit Contibution, Service Pack, Warranty, Breakdown Cover etc bundled in you retain them if you settle early. (Not cancelling in the first 14 days)

The "Perks". Warranty, Breakdown Recovery, Deposit Contribution and Service Pack all sit on your Finance Agreement and are visible in your online account. Withdrawing from the agreement in the first two weeks cancells everything. You have to go back to the dealer and pay them the full money. In most cases VW finance will remove all items from your online account. @skoda998 On your other thread I did say there are now increased charges to cover how the dealers comission is now paid. In my case that was around £300 over the sum financed.

I have a 2024 Superb 2.0TSi L&K (Last of the Mk3's), we've had three Octavia's and my wife still has her Octavia. Yep I'd agree with your comments especially regarding the ride, fit and finish and road noise.

Only 7000 miles on my 2.0TSi 190 Gen4 but no issues and no oil top up. Really impressed with the refinement and economy on this engine.

You can't get a settlement figure until after the 14 days cooling off period. The perks are offered by finance. If you cancel the finance in the 14 day cooling off period then the perks are cancelled as well.

I've done this numerous times, the last time 6 months ago. My last car was only 8 months old so the warranty and recovery didn't bother me but there was a £500 deposit contribution and the service pack so well worth the £300 charges.

So you only get the perks if you don't cancel the Finance. So you can't cancel during the 14 day cooling off period. You will get an online account with Skoda finance, on day 15 you can click on settlement figure and bank transfer the funds instantly to pay off the finance. This way you keep all the perks. What has changed since the older thread is there are now admin charges, commission charges and a small amount of interest to pay. This will come to around £300

If you want the benefits then you settle the finance after the 14 day cooling off period. Pay the charges and a small amount of interest. If you cancel during the 14 day cooling off period then the finance and all benefits are cancelled and you have to go back to the dealer with some cash.

I've done this recently and so has a friend. Just be aware that if you cancel within the 14 days you have cancelled the finance and potentially all the benefits. Skoda now include the commission charges so paying up early after the 14 day cool off period does include some charges as well as the interest. For myself and my friend were both charged around £300 in charges and interest and both paid off 2 weeks after purchase. It was still worth it for the deposit contribution, the 2 year service pack and in the case of my friend the two year warranty.

If you look at the official figures and those posted on here they are that close between the 190 3B and Evo4 it's really not worth buying one over the other. Just buy the best car you can afford.

Yep. I thought the best mode for speed humps would be comfort but no that's the slowest and most uncomfortable due to the bottoming out and the bounce. Turns out Sport is the best, no bottoming out, no bounce.

If you are feeding LED lights off the output of the ballast then yes I'd suspect the LED lights are causing the failure.

A Phev with that mileage is one battery/gearbox issue away from being scrap. The DQ400e is extremely complex and expensive. Straight petrol or diesel and go with a lower mileage, lower spec car to get in your budget.

I know you say you have changed the water pump but all that you are saying are symptoms of a water pump stuck sleeve on the 2.0TDi.

My 24 registered Mk3 has 0330 software although I believe 0332 is out. I too get OTA updates and the messages you refer to very occasionally. I just hit apply but not noticed any changes.

From what I can gater it's a specific run of MY24 VIN numbers that are affected.

Yes they were standard on Facelift from 2020.

Just found a December 2019 brochure and they were standard then so maybe a facelift addition? OP would be looking at post 2022 so L&K of that era should be ventilated. But maybe all academic as it looks like someone in OP's family has issues with leather smell.

What year were they introduced?
