  1. It's by far the best option.
  2. Sorry Fabia is not here at the moment, back tomorrow afternoon. I have a Superb, wife has Octavia and the Fabia is for rest of the family. 2017 1.0TSi 110PS. I'll check engine code tomorrow.
  3. 100% agree with this post. Get an extended test drive in the Karoq. The seats in all current models have long bases and are heavily sloped. They don't have seat base length or seat base angle adjustment unless you pay extra for electric seat adjustment. For me that made the upright driving position uncomfortable. Maybe fine in a sports car but not an SUV. I'd been fine with four Yeti's, Octavia's, Fabia's etc. etc. After 10 months swapped the Karoq for a Superb.
  4. I believe it was this one or similar. Indy said there was a choice of two and they wouldn't know which one until stripped. AKS tuningGenuine VAG DQ200 / DQ250 DSG Parking Brake Fault Fix - 5...Genuine repair kit for fault 'Error Workshop, only leave vehicle in Position P'
  5. My local indy changed the microswitch for around £200
  6. Some VAG models have a worse rep than others. The Yeti was a bad one. Search for Yeti leaking roof if you want a laugh (Or cry) I had a Karoq but wouldn't have the Sportline as they had panroof as Standard. Same with my current Superb, I wanted high spec but solid roof. For the Yeti I had a repair done but it only lasted 6 months then they changed the entire panroof cassette. Cost around £3000 but thankfully not out of my pocket. I suppose for the Superb 4 it's still too early to say how reliable the roofs will be. It's not a Skoda issue though, even some 6 figure Audi etrons have issues.
  7. Looks exactly like my old Yeti when the panroof cassette split where the metal and plastic join. After two VAG vehicles with Panroofs and both being a nightmare I'll never have another Skoda with opening panroof.
  8. It's a personal choice but I hate those things with a passion.
  9. I also have a good indy for our older cars. Uses all genuine parts if I ask. Sometimes I have to guide them. They've just done the Park position microswitch on the DSG selector on the Fabia due to the "Error Workshop" common fault. First one they've done. Not everyone spends all day on here. 😄
  10. I'm lucky to have Rainworth Skoda 5 minutes from where I live. Never had a problem with them, always gone the extra mile for me. I know most of the sales and service staff. If I call in for a chat they will generally throw me the keys to try anything I want. Good will? They replaced a panroof at a cost of over £2500 that wasn't included in the Used car warranty.
  11. For the second part of the question. "What are the advantages of sticking with the dealer?" For me I have a good relationship with my dealer and have certainly been in situations where I've had good will from them and from Skoda UK. Cars bought from and serviced by the same dealer they can't really blame anyone else. 😁 But as cars approach the 6th year then realistically you can't expect that. There's a guy that's one in front of me and has had 18 cars from my dealer so I need to swap my wifes car soon. 😂
  12. Yep. 5 years from new. Unless included in service pack then longer.
  13. I'm on my 17th Skoda. (As can be seen in my signature). All from the same dealer. Currently run three. 2024 Superb, 2019 Fabia, 2012 Octavia. My general rule is 5 years at the dealer and then at my trusted independent. Sometimes it'll be longer than Five years depending on any service pack deals I have.
  14. I think priority needs to be Assign primary user. Do the ports work and wired Android Auto Does the car have wireless Android Auto or not. Play with wireless dongles.
  15. Hi Andy, The most logical thought would be they have disconnected the pump when they have removed the gearbox and not plugged it back in.
  16. The only DSG schedule that was changed was the 40k mile service for the DQ250 and that was back in early 2000's All the others have not changed and remain the same since launch The confusion comes with independents doing their own recommendations or dealers/owners not identifying the gearbox that is fitted.
  17. Watched it last night. I was surprised the economy was as high as 11mpg.
  18. 100% get the factory towbar. You won't save that much going with towbar prep and after market towbar. Factory bar ensures everything is correct, warranty is fully covered, it's the neatest solution, and as it was fitted from the factory you wont have to declare it as a modification to your insurance. Some MY24on cars have had problems with coding even with towbar prep.
  19. I said in one of your other threads that without Primary User setup weird things happen.
  20. You are not going mad. I've seen it but have to have route guidance selected in the left or right display. Here I have google maps on infotainment, maps on centre display and route guidance on left display. Notice the message saying towards Langford Rd. That's being generated from Google Maps and I'll often see ETA etc flash up.
  21. There's a toggle on mine. Karoq and Superb.
  22. I've done it before with my Passat. My last two Skoda's I can just use my phone and Skoda Connect App to open the car though.
  23. It depends on model and engine as to what is required. Found this for Karoq but nothing for Superb
